The Army's aerial tramway was first erected at Camp Wallace and later moved to Fort Eustis near the Reserve Fleet for further testing.&nbsp; </font></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><font face="Georgia">&nbsp;&nbsp; The tramway consisted of two tracks and four cargo cars, normally servicing two vessels at the same time.&nbsp; It had a tonnage capability of 1,440 short tons per a 24-hour day, and could transfer cargo from ship to shore at a rate of 120-160 tons an hour for one mile, using a shuttle method.</font></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><font face="Georgia">&nbsp;&nbsp;
