stressful personal crisis and put a student at risk of losing everything for which he or she has worked. Every dollar you give is an investment in the future of a student who may not be able to complete their education without your help.</p> <p>This year, donations are needed more than ever. $35,000 is still needed to provide emergency funding for students facing financial hardship.</p> <p>With your contributions to the UFV Student Emergency Fund, students can apply for financial assistance when they need it most.</p> <p>Please <a href="https://connect.ufv.ca/giving/donate">give online</a> by selecting <strong>Lifesaver Campaign – Student Emergency Fund</strong></p> <p>Student Emergency Fund donations have helped students by providing assistance with:</p> <ul> <li>unexpected emergencies to help with essential living expenses</li> <li>medications and other costs related to medical care</li> <li>replacement of essential personal belongings due to fire, theft, or natural disaster</li> <li>grocery food vouchers and bill payments</li> <li>travel costs related to a death or illness in the immediate family</li> </ul> <p>Last year, faculty and staff donations totaling over $68,000 helped 136 students in distress, but many more students require assistance.
