wherefore do ye tempt the Lord? <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/17-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>So the people thirsted there for water, & the people murmured against Moses, & said, Wherefore hast thou thus brought vs out of Egypt to kil vs and our children and our cattel with thirst?
