My hour has not yet come."<Fr> <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>His mother says to the servants, "Whatsoever He saith to you, do." <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the Jews' manner of purifying, containing, each, two or three firkins. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Jesus saith to them, <FR>"Fill the waterpots with water."<Fr> And they filled them up to the brim. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And He saith to them, <FR>"Draw out now, and bear to the ruler of the feast."<Fr> And they bore it. <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>When the ruler of the feast tasted the water <i>now</i> become wine, and knew not whence it was, (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calls the bridegroom, <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/2-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>and says to him, "Every man sets on the good wine first; and, when they become drunken, the worse.
