Who’s the troll here? Are you so blissfully naïve that you don’t realize that medical organizations, health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies are publicly traded companies with executives and investors expecting big returns? <br/>There are millions of people who don’t go to the doctor because they can’t afford it. Millions more with insurance like me, who have staggering deductibles even though we pay hundreds each month for insurance and one trip to the doctor will leave them financially hurting? I have a service like this through my employer, paid for by my employer. I and many of my co-workers have used this service and I have not heard one complaint. So the company is making a profit, welcome to America. Every time you breathe air some corporation in this country is making a profit off you or your children. They don’t treat life threatening illnesses. They treat routine minor illnesses. You can call it “crapified” (didn’t know that was a word) if you like, but thank you, I’ve received excellent care and haven’t had to forgo paying a bill or buying food because I was raped by the doctor’s office or urgent care. Sounds like to me that maybe you have a vested interest in one of the above entities and are therefore disparaging the information. By the way, you can have a differing opinion from someone, that’s what makes America good. But stooping to the gutter and calling people names is rude. They suffer the same liability risks and licensing requirements as their conventional brethren. Their patients are certainly less inconvenienced.Access to healthcare for rural populations is certainly increased. And rural America is America at its poorest. If anyone needs increased access at reduced costs its this group. Secondly over one half of America suffers from a chronic condition which cannot be cured only managed. As Texas ranks very close to the bottom in most healthcare indices, I am of the opinion that the TMB should be concerned with improving access to care rather than limiting access. I am of the opinion that the TMB should altruistically look at quality data and regulate based on what is best for all Texans. I believe the TMB tries to do this for the most part but often bows at the alter of the all powerful Texas Medical Association which only represents the best interest of Texas physician. As an increasing number of Texans are in need of quality healthcare and are limited in the availability of healthcare, does it make sense to try to restrict as much as possible the supposed turf of
