medicine is widely increased among the society due to their low cost, enhanced efficacy, increased patient preference, lack of inconveniences related to infusion and they provide an opportunity to develop chronic treatment regimens. However, oral delivery of these drugs usually laid down by the limited bioavailability of the drug, which is associated with a wide variation. As most of the cytotoxic agents have a narrow therapeutic window and are dosed at or near the maximum tolerated dose, a wide variability in the bioavailability can negatively affect treatment result. It is estimated that 40% of active substances are poorly soluble in water. The improvement of bio-availability of drugs with such properties presents one of the greatest challenges in drug formulations. There are several techniques reported in literature. Among all these Self Emulsifying Drug Delivery System (SEDDS) has gained more attention due to enhanced oral bio-availability enabling a reduction in dose. Thus, SEDDS anticancer drugs will have the increased bioavailability and efficacy. These dosage form will provide societal benefit in a cost-effective manner as compared to other oral dosage forms. Present study reflects on the formulation strategies as SEDDS for oral anticancer agents of AYUSH system for enhanced bioavailability with proven efficacy by cancer cell lines. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=anticancer%20agents" title="anticancer agents">anticancer agents</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=AYUSH%20system" title=" AYUSH system"> AYUSH system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bioavailability" title=" bioavailability"> bioavailability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SEDDS" title=" SEDDS"> SEDDS</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58981/development-of-self-emulsifying-drug-delivery-systems-sedds-of-anticancer-agents-used-in-ayush-system-of-medicine-for-improved-oral-bioavailability-followed-by-their-pharmacological-evaluation-using-biotechnological-techniques" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58981.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">306</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">65</span> Analysis of Secondary Peak in Hα Emission Profile during Gas Puffing in Aditya Tokamak</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Harshita%20Raj">Harshita Raj</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Joydeep%20Ghosh"> Joydeep Ghosh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rakesh%20L.%20Tanna"> Rakesh L. This requires a fair understanding of fuel recycling in order to optimize the gas fueling. In Aditya tokamak, multiple gas puffs are used in a precise and controlled manner, for hydrogen fueling during the flat top of plasma discharge which has been instrumental in achieving discharges with enhanced density as well as energy confinement time. Following each gas puff, we observe peaks in temporal profile of Hα emission, Soft X-ray (SXR) and chord averaged electron density in a number of discharges, indicating efficient gas fueling. Interestingly, Hα temporal profile exhibited an additional peak following the peak corresponding to each gas puff. These additional peak Hα appeared in between the two gas puffs, indicating the presence of a secondary hydrogen source apart from the gas puffs. A thorough investigation revealed that these secondary Hα peaks coincide with Hard X- ray bursts which come from the interaction of runaway electrons with vessel limiters. This leads to consider that the runaway electrons (REs), which hit the wall, in turn, bring out the absorbed hydrogen and oxygen from the wall and makes the interaction of REs with limiter a secondary hydrogen source. These observations suggest that runaway electron induced recycling should also be included in recycling particle source in the particle balance calculations in tokamaks. Observation of two Hα peaks associated with one gas puff and their roles in enhancing and maintaining plasma density in Aditya tokamak will be discussed in this paper. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fusion" title="fusion">fusion</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=gas%20fueling" title=" gas fueling"> gas fueling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=recycling" title=" recycling"> recycling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tokamak" title=" Tokamak"> Tokamak</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya" title=" Aditya"> Aditya</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/67668/analysis-of-secondary-peak-in-ha-emission-profile-during-gas-puffing-in-aditya-tokamak" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/67668.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">402</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">64</span> Optimizing Microwave Assisted Extraction of Anti-Diabetic Plant Tinospora cordifolia Used in Ayush System for Estimation of Berberine Using Taguchi L-9 Orthogonal Design</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Saurabh%20Satija">Saurabh Satija</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Munish%20Garg"> Munish Garg</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Present work reports an efficient extraction method using microwaves based solvent–sample duo-heating mechanism, for the extraction of an important anti-diabetic plant Tinospora cordifolia from AYUSH system for estimation of berberine content. The process is based on simultaneous heating of sample matrix and extracting solvent under microwave energy. Methanol was used as the extracting solvent, which has excellent berberine solubilizing power and warms up under microwave attributable to its great dispersal factor. Extraction conditions like time of irradition, microwave power, solute-solvent ratio and temperature were optimized using Taguchi design and berberine was quantified using high performance thin layer chromatography. The ranked optimized parameters were microwave power (rank 1), irradiation time (rank 2) and temperature (rank 3). This kind of extraction mechanism under dual heating provided choice of extraction parameters for better precision and higher yield with significant reduction in extraction time under optimum extraction conditions. This developed extraction protocol will lead to extract higher amounts of berberine which is a major anti-diabetic moiety in Tinospora cordifolia which can lead to development of cheaper formulations of the plant Tinospora cordifolia and can help in rapid prevention of diabetes in the world. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=berberine" title="berberine">berberine</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=microwave" title=" microwave"> microwave</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=optimization" title=" optimization"> optimization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Taguchi" title=" Taguchi"> Taguchi</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58304/optimizing-microwave-assisted-extraction-of-anti-diabetic-plant-tinospora-cordifolia-used-in-ayush-system-for-estimation-of-berberine-using-taguchi-l-9-orthogonal-design" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/58304.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">347</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">63</span> An Investigation Enhancing E-Voting Application Performance</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Verma">Aditya Verma</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> E-voting using blockchain provides us with a distributed system where data is present on each node present in the network and is reliable and secure too due to its immutability property. The Internet has emerged as a primary source of information consumption and a reliable medium for receiving updates on everyday activities. Owing to this change in the information consumption pattern, the internet has also emerged as a hotbed of misinformation. Experts are of the view that media literacy has emerged as one of the most effective strategies for addressing the issue of misinformation. This paper aims to study the evolution of the Kerala government's media literacy policy, its implementation strategy, challenges and opportunities. The objective of this paper is to create a conceptual framework containing details of the implementation strategy based on the Kerala model. Extensive secondary research of literature, newspaper articles, and other online sources was carried out to locate the timeline of this policy. This was followed by semi-structured interview discussions with government officials from Kerala to trace the origin and evolution of this policy. Preliminary findings based on the collected data suggest that this policy is a case of policy by chance, as the officer who headed this policy during the state level implementation was the one who has already piloted a media literacy program in a district called Kannur as the district collector. Through this paper, an attempt is made to trace the history of the media literacy policy starting from the Kannur intervention in 2018, which was started to address the issue of vaccine hesitancy around measles rubella(MR) vaccination. If not for the vaccine hesitancy, this program would not have been rolled out in Kannur. Interviews with government officials suggest that when authorities decided to take up this initiative in 2020, a huge amount of misinformation emerging during the COVID-19 pandemic was the trigger. There was misinformation regarding government orders, healthcare facilities, vaccination, and lockdown regulations, which affected everyone, unlike the case of Kannur, where it was only a certain age group of kids. As a solution to this problem, the state government decided to create a media literacy curriculum to be taught in all government schools of the state starting from standard 8 till graduation. This was a tricky task, as a new course had to be immediately introduced in the school curriculum amid all the disruptions in the education system caused by the pandemic. It was revealed during the interview that in the case of the state-wide implementation, every step involved multiple checks and balances, unlike the earlier program where stakeholders were roped-in as and when the need emerged. On the pedagogy, while the training during the pilot could be managed through PowerPoint presentation, designing a state-wide curriculum involved multiple iterations and expert approvals. The reason for this is COVID-19 related misinformation has lost its significance. In the next phase of the research, an attempt will be made to compare other aspects of the pilot implementation with the state-wide implementation. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=media%20literacy" title="media literacy">media literacy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=digital%20media%20literacy" title=" digital media literacy"> digital media literacy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=curriculum%20based%20media%20literacy%20intervention" title=" curriculum based media literacy intervention"> curriculum based media literacy intervention</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=misinformation" title=" misinformation"> misinformation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/165398/opportunities-and-challenges-tracing-the-evolution-of-indias-first-state-led-curriculum-based-media-literacy-intervention" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/165398.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">93</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">61</span> Deepfake Detection for Compressed Media</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sushil%20Kumar%20Gupta">Sushil Kumar Gupta</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Atharva%20Joshi"> Atharva Joshi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ayush%20Sonawale"> Ayush Sonawale</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sachin%20Naik"> Sachin Naik</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rajshree%20Khande"> Rajshree Khande</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The usage of artificially created videos and audio by deep learning is a major problem of the current media landscape, as it pursues the goal of misinformation and distrust. The problem is solved by obtaining the Initial Basic feasible Solution through various methods and further proceeding to obtain optimal cost. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=NW%20method" title="NW method">NW method</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=optimum%20utilization" title=" optimum utilization"> optimum utilization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=transportation%20problem" title=" transportation problem"> transportation problem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vogel%E2%80%99s%20approximation%20method" title=" Vogel’s approximation method"> Vogel’s approximation method</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/19160/solving-the-transportation-problem-for-warehouses-and-dealers-in-bangalore-city" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/19160.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">438</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">59</span> Efficient Filtering of Graph Based Data Using Graph Partitioning</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nileshkumar%20Vaishnav">Nileshkumar Vaishnav</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Tatu"> Aditya Tatu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> An algebraic framework for processing graph signals axiomatically designates the graph adjacency matrix as the shift operator. In this setup, we often encounter a problem wherein we know the filtered output and the filter coefficients, and need to find out the input graph signal. Solution to this problem using direct approach requires O(N3) operations, where N is the number of vertices in graph. In this paper, we adapt the spectral graph partitioning method for partitioning of graphs and use it to reduce the computational cost of the filtering problem. We use the example of denoising of the temperature data to illustrate the efficacy of the approach. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=graph%20signal%20processing" title="graph signal processing">graph signal processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=graph%20partitioning" title=" graph partitioning"> graph partitioning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inverse%20filtering%20on%20graphs" title=" inverse filtering on graphs"> inverse filtering on graphs</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=algebraic%20signal%20processing" title=" algebraic signal processing"> algebraic signal processing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/59397/efficient-filtering-of-graph-based-data-using-graph-partitioning" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/59397.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">311</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">58</span> Extraction of Essential Oil From Orange Peels</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aayush%20Bhisikar">Aayush Bhisikar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Neha%20Rajas"> Neha Rajas</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Bhingare"> Aditya Bhingare</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Samarth%20Bhandare"> Samarth Bhandare</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Amruta%20Amrurkar"> Amruta Amrurkar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Orange peels are currently thrown away as garbage in India after orange fruits' edible components are consumed. In this approach, the adjacency matrix plays pivotal role; instead of the more common approach involving graph-Laplacian. In this work, we follow the adjacency matrix based approach and corresponding algebraic signal model. We further expand the theory and introduce the concept of similarity of two graphs. The similarity of graphs is useful in that key properties (such as filter-response, algebra related to graph) get transferred from one graph to another. We demonstrate potential applications of the relation between two similar graphs, such as nonuniform filter design, DTMF detection and signal reconstruction. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=graph%20signal%20processing" title="graph signal processing">graph signal processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=algebraic%20signal%20processing" title=" algebraic signal processing"> algebraic signal processing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=graph%20similarity" title=" graph similarity"> graph similarity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=isospectral%20graphs" title=" isospectral graphs"> isospectral graphs</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nonuniform%20signal%20processing" title=" nonuniform signal processing"> nonuniform signal processing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/59404/graph-similarity-algebraic-model-and-its-application-to-nonuniform-signal-processing" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/59404.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">352</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">55</span> Stress Field Induced By an Interfacial Edge Dislocation in a Multi-Layered Medium</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Khanna">Aditya Khanna</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andrei%20Kotousov"> Andrei Kotousov</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> A novel method is presented for obtaining the stress field induced by an edge dislocation in a multilayered composite. This motivates a fresh bio-mimicking solution to the design of an exo-skeleton to support human movement in the case of partial or total immobility either due to congenital or genetic factors or due to some accident or due to geratological factors. A deeper insight and detailed understanding is required into the workings of the ball and socket joints. Our research is to mimic ball and socket joints to design snugly fitting exoskeletons. Our objective is to design an exoskeleton which is comfortable and the presence of which is not felt if not in use. Towards this goal, a parametric study is conducted to provide detailed design parameters to fabricate an exoskeleton. This work builds up on real data of the design of the exoskeleton, so that the designed exo-skeleton will be able to provide required strength and support to the subject. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bio-mimicking" title="bio-mimicking">bio-mimicking</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=exoskeleton" title=" exoskeleton"> exoskeleton</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ball%20joint" title=" ball joint"> ball joint</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=socket%20joint" title=" socket joint"> socket joint</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=artificial%20limb" title=" artificial limb"> artificial limb</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=patient%20rehabilitation" title=" patient rehabilitation"> patient rehabilitation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=joints" title=" joints"> joints</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=human-machine%20interface" title=" human-machine interface"> human-machine interface</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wearable%20robotics" title=" wearable robotics"> wearable robotics</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/37015/parametric-study-of-ball-and-socket-joint-for-bio-mimicking-exoskeleton" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/37015.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">296</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">53</span> An Unusual Occurrence: Typhoid Retinitis with Kyrieleis' Vasculitis</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Sethi">Aditya Sethi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vaibhav%20Sethi"> Vaibhav Sethi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shenouda%20Girgis"> Shenouda Girgis</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> We present a case of a 31-year-old female who presented with a three week history of left eye blurry vision following a fever. Pseuduvaria monticola is a rare montane forest species from the Annonaceae family. Traditionally, the plant was used to cure symptoms of fever, inflammation, stomach-ache and also to reduce the elevated levels of blood glucose. Scientifically, we have evaluated the antidiabetic potential of the Pseuduvaria monticola bark methanolic extract on certain in vitro cell based assays, followed by in vivo study. Results from in vitro models displayed PMm upregulated glucose uptake and insulin secretion in mouse pancreatic β-cells. In vivo study demonstrated the PMm down-regulated hyperglycaemia, oxidative stress and elevated levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines in type 2 diabetic rat models. Altogether, the study revealed that Pseuduvaria monticola might be used as a potential candidate for the management of type 2 diabetes and its related complications. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=type%202%20diabetes" title="type 2 diabetes">type 2 diabetes</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pseuduvaria%20monticola" title=" Pseuduvaria monticola"> Pseuduvaria monticola</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=insulin%20secretion" title=" insulin secretion"> insulin secretion</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=glucose%20uptake" title=" glucose uptake"> glucose uptake</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13005/antidiabetic-potential-of-pseuduvaria-monticola-bark-extract-on-the-pancreatic-cells-nit-1-and-type-2-diabetic-rat-model" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13005.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">439</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">51</span> TerraEnhance: High-Resolution Digital Elevation Model Generation using GANs</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Siddharth%20Sarma">Siddharth Sarma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ayush%20Majumdar"> Ayush Majumdar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nidhi%20Sabu"> Nidhi Sabu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mufaddal%20Jiruwaala"> Mufaddal Jiruwaala</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shilpa%20Paygude"> Shilpa Paygude</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) are digital representations of the Earth’s topography, which include information about the elevation, slope, aspect, and other terrain attributes. DEMs play a crucial role in various applications, including terrain analysis, urban planning, and environmental modeling. In this paper, TerraEnhance is proposed, a distinct approach for high-resolution DEM generation using Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) combined with Real-ESRGANs. By learning from a dataset of low-resolution DEMs, the GANs are trained to upscale the data by 10 times, resulting in significantly enhanced DEMs with improved resolution and finer details. The integration of Real-ESRGANs further enhances visual quality, leading to more accurate representations of the terrain. A post-processing layer is introduced, employing high-pass filtering to refine the generated DEMs, preserving important details while reducing noise and artifacts. The results demonstrate that TerraEnhance outperforms existing methods, producing high-fidelity DEMs with intricate terrain features and exceptional accuracy. These advancements make TerraEnhance suitable for various applications, such as terrain analysis and precise environmental modeling. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DEM" title="DEM">DEM</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ESRGAN" title=" ESRGAN"> ESRGAN</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=image%20upscaling" title=" image upscaling"> image upscaling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=super%20resolution" title=" super resolution"> super resolution</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=computer%20vision" title=" computer vision"> computer vision</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/193143/terraenhance-high-resolution-digital-elevation-model-generation-using-gans" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/193143.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">10</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">50</span> Finite Element Analysis of Dental Implant for Prosthesis</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mayur%20Chaudhari">Mayur Chaudhari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ashutosh%20Gaikwad"> Ashutosh Gaikwad</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shubham%20Kavathale"> Shubham Kavathale</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Mule"> Aditya Mule</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dilip%20Panchal"> Dilip Panchal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Puja%20Verma"> Puja Verma</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purpose of this investigation was to locate restorative bio-materials for the manufacture of implants and crowns. A three-dimensional (3D) finite element analysis (FEA) was carried out to evaluate the stress distribution in the implant and abutment with several types of bio-materials and various prosthetic crowns. While the dental implant, abutment, and screw were subjected to a vertical impact force, the effects of mechanical characteristics such as Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio were evaluated and contrasted. Crowns are made from zirconia, cobalt, ceramic, acrylic resin, and porcelain materials. Implants are made from materials such as titanium, zirconia, PEEK, and CFR-PEEK. SolidWorks was used to create the 3D geometry, and Ansys Software was used to analyze it. The results show that using CFR-PEEK implants and an acrylic resin crown resulted in less bone stress than using alternative materials. In order to reduce the amount of stress on the bone and possibly prevent implant failure, the study's findings support the use of a CFR PEEK implant, abutment, and crown in bruxism patients. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=biomaterials" title="biomaterials">biomaterials</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=implant" title=" implant"> implant</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=crown" title=" crown"> crown</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=abutment" title=" abutment"> abutment</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/179033/finite-element-analysis-of-dental-implant-for-prosthesis" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/179033.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">60</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">49</span> Individuals’ Inner Wellbeing during the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Quantitative Comparison of Social Connections and Close Relationships between the UK and India</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Maria%20Spanoudaki">Maria Spanoudaki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pauldy%20C.%20J.%20Otermans"> Pauldy C. In this study, the focus is on Inner Wellbeing which can be described as an individuals' thoughts and feelings about what they can do and be. Relationships can come in many forms and can be divided into Social Connections (thoughts and feelings about the social network people can establish and rely on), and Close Relationships (thoughts and feeling about the emotional support people can receive from significant others or their close, intimate circle). The purpose of this study is to compare the Social Connections and Close Relationship dimensions of Inner Wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic between the UK and India. 392 participants in the UK and 205 participants India completed an online questionnaire using the Inner Wellbeing scale. Factor analyses showed that the construct of Inner Wellbeing can be described as one factor for the UK sample whereas it can be described as two factors (one focusing on positive items and one focusing on negative items) for the Indian sample. Results showed that Social Connections were significantly during COVID-19 in the UK compared to India, whereas there is no significant difference for Close Relationships. The implications on relationships and wellbeing are discussed in detail. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=social%20networks" title="social networks">social networks</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=relationship%20maintenance" title=" relationship maintenance"> relationship maintenance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=relationship%20satisfaction" title=" relationship satisfaction"> relationship satisfaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=COVID-19" title=" COVID-19"> COVID-19</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/149391/individuals-inner-wellbeing-during-the-covid-19-pandemic-a-quantitative-comparison-of-social-connections-and-close-relationships-between-the-uk-and-india" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/149391.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">162</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">48</span> Automated Digital Mammogram Segmentation Using Dispersed Region Growing and Pectoral Muscle Sliding Window Algorithm </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ayush%20Shrivastava">Ayush Shrivastava</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Arpit%20Chaudhary"> Arpit Chaudhary</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Devang%20Kulshreshtha"> Devang Kulshreshtha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vibhav%20Prakash%20Singh"> Vibhav Prakash Singh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rajeev%20Srivastava"> Rajeev Srivastava</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Early diagnosis of breast cancer can improve the survival rate by detecting cancer at an early stage. Breast region segmentation is an essential step in the analysis of digital mammograms. Accurate image segmentation leads to better detection of cancer. It aims at separating out Region of Interest (ROI) from rest of the image. The procedure begins with removal of labels, annotations and tags from the mammographic image using morphological opening method. Pectoral Muscle Sliding Window Algorithm (PMSWA) is used for removal of pectoral muscle from mammograms which is necessary as the intensity values of pectoral muscles are similar to that of ROI which makes it difficult to separate out. After removing the pectoral muscle, Dispersed Region Growing Algorithm (DRGA) is used for segmentation of mammogram which disperses seeds in different regions instead of a single bright region. To demonstrate the validity of our segmentation method, 322 mammographic images from Mammographic Image Analysis Society (MIAS) database are used. The dataset contains medio-lateral oblique (MLO) view of mammograms. Experimental results on MIAS dataset show the effectiveness of our proposed method. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CAD" title="CAD">CAD</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dispersed%20region%20growing%20algorithm%20%28DRGA%29" title=" dispersed region growing algorithm (DRGA)"> dispersed region growing algorithm (DRGA)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=image%20segmentation" title=" image segmentation"> image segmentation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mammography" title=" mammography"> mammography</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pectoral%20muscle%20sliding%20window%20algorithm%20%28PMSWA%29" title=" pectoral muscle sliding window algorithm (PMSWA)"> pectoral muscle sliding window algorithm (PMSWA)</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/69020/automated-digital-mammogram-segmentation-using-dispersed-region-growing-and-pectoral-muscle-sliding-window-algorithm" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/69020.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">312</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">47</span> Artificial Intelligence for Generative Modelling</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shryas%20Bhurat">Shryas Bhurat</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aryan%20Vashistha"> Aryan Vashistha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sampreet%20Dinakar%20Nayak"> Sampreet Dinakar Nayak</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ayush%20Gupta"> Ayush Gupta</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> As the technology is advancing more towards high computational resources, there is a paradigm shift in the usage of these resources to optimize the design process. This paper discusses the usage of ‘Generative Design using Artificial Intelligence’ to build better models that adapt the operations like selection, mutation, and crossover to generate results. The human mind thinks of the simplest approach while designing an object, but the intelligence learns from the past & designs the complex optimized CAD Models. Generative Design takes the boundary conditions and comes up with multiple solutions with iterations to come up with a sturdy design with the most optimal parameter that is given, saving huge amounts of time & resources. The new production techniques that are at our disposal allow us to use additive manufacturing, 3D printing, and other innovative manufacturing techniques to save resources and design artistically engineered CAD Models. Also, this paper discusses the Genetic Algorithm, the Non-Domination technique to choose the right results using biomimicry that has evolved for current habitation for millions of years. The computer uses parametric models to generate newer models using an iterative approach & uses cloud computing to store these iterative designs. The later part of the paper compares the topology optimization technology with Generative Design that is previously being used to generate CAD Models. Finally, this paper shows the performance of algorithms and how these algorithms help in designing resource-efficient models. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=genetic%20algorithm" title="genetic algorithm">genetic algorithm</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bio%20mimicry" title=" bio mimicry"> bio mimicry</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=generative%20modeling" title=" generative modeling"> generative modeling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=non-dominant%20techniques" title=" non-dominant techniques"> non-dominant techniques</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/145293/artificial-intelligence-for-generative-modelling" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/145293.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">149</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">46</span> Dynamic Stall Characterization of Low Reynolds Airfoil in Mars and Titan’s Atmosphere</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vatasta%20Koul">Vatasta Koul</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vaibhav%20Sharma"> Vaibhav Sharma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ayush%20Gupta"> Ayush Gupta</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rajesh%20Yadav"> Rajesh Yadav</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Exploratory missions to Mars and Titan have increased recently with various endeavors to find an alternate home to humankind. The use of surface rovers has its limitations due to rugged and uneven surfaces of these planetary bodies. The use of aerial robots requires the complete aerodynamic characterization of these vehicles in the atmospheric conditions of these planetary bodies. The dynamic stall phenomenon is extremely important for rotary wings performance under low Reynolds number that can be encountered in Martian and Titan’s atmosphere. The current research focuses on the aerodynamic characterization and exploration of the dynamic stall phenomenon of two different airfoils viz. E387 and Selig-Donovan7003 in Martian and Titan’s atmosphere at low Reynolds numbers of 10000 and 50000. The two-dimensional numerical simulations are conducted using commercially available finite volume solver with multi-species non-reacting mixture of gases as the working fluid. The k-epsilon (k-ε) turbulence model is used to capture the unsteady flow separation and the effect of turbulence. The dynamic characteristics are studied at a fixed different constant rotational extreme of angles of attack. This study of airfoils at different low Reynolds number and atmospheric conditions on Mars and Titan will be resulting in defining the aerodynamic characteristics of these airfoils for unmanned aerial missions for outer space exploration. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aerodynamics" title="aerodynamics">aerodynamics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dynamic%20stall" title=" dynamic stall"> dynamic stall</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=E387" title=" E387"> E387</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SD7003" title=" SD7003"> SD7003</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/117445/dynamic-stall-characterization-of-low-reynolds-airfoil-in-mars-and-titans-atmosphere" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/117445.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">134</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">45</span> The Convergence of IoT and Machine Learning: A Survey of Real-time Stress Detection System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shreyas%20Gambhirrao">Shreyas Gambhirrao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Vichare"> Aditya Vichare</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aniket%20Tembhurne"> Aniket Tembhurne</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shahuraj%20Bhosale"> Shahuraj Bhosale</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In today's rapidly evolving environment, stress has emerged as a significant health concern across different age groups. Stress that isn't controlled, whether it comes from job responsibilities, health issues, or the never-ending news cycle, can have a negative effect on our well-being. The problem is further aggravated by the ongoing connection to technology. In this high-tech age, identifying and controlling stress is vital. In order to solve this health issue, the study focuses on three key metrics for stress detection: body temperature, heart rate, and galvanic skin response (GSR). These parameters along with the Support Vector Machine classifier assist the system to categorize stress into three groups: 1) Stressed, 2) Not stressed, and 3) Moderate stress. Proposed training model, a NodeMCU combined with particular sensors collects data in real-time and rapidly categorizes individuals based on their stress levels. Real-time stress detection is made possible by this creative combination of hardware and software. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=real%20time%20stress%20detection" title="real time stress detection">real time stress detection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=NodeMCU" title=" NodeMCU"> NodeMCU</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sensors" title=" sensors"> sensors</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=heart-rate" title=" heart-rate"> heart-rate</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=body%20temperature" title=" body temperature"> body temperature</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=galvanic%20skin%20response%20%28GSR%29" title=" galvanic skin response (GSR)"> galvanic skin response (GSR)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=support%20vector%20machine" title=" support vector machine"> support vector machine</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/179408/the-convergence-of-iot-and-machine-learning-a-survey-of-real-time-stress-detection-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/179408.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">72</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">44</span> Effect of Wavy Leading-Edges on Wings in Different Planetary Atmospheres</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vatasta%20Koul">Vatasta Koul</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ayush%20Gupta"> Ayush Gupta</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vaibhav%20Sharma"> Vaibhav Sharma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rajesh%20Yadav"> Rajesh Yadav</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Today we are unmarking the secrets of the universe by exploring different stars and planets and most of the space exploration is done by unmanned space robots. In addition to our planet Earth, there are pieces of evidence that show other astronomical objects in our solar system such as Venus, Mars, Saturn’s moon Titan and Uranus support the flight of fixed wing air vehicles. In this paper, we take forward the concept of presence of large rounded tubercles along the leading edge of a wing and use it as a passive flow control device that will help in improving its aerodynamic performance and maneuverability. Furthermore, in this research, aerodynamic measurements and performance analysis of wavy leading tubercles on the fixed wings at 5-degree angle of attack are carried out after determination of the flow conditions on the selected planetary bodies. Wavelength and amplitude for the sinusoidal modifications on the leading edge are analyzed and simulations are carried out for three-dimensional NACA 0012 airfoil maintaining unity AR (Aspect Ratio). Tubercles have consistently demonstrated the ability to delay and decrease the severity of stall as per the studies were done in the Earth’s atmosphere. Implementing the same design on the leading edges of Micro-Air Vehicles (MAVs) and UAVs could make these aircrafts more stable over a greater range of angles of attack in different planetary environments of our solar system. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=amplitude" title="amplitude">amplitude</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=NACA0012" title=" NACA0012"> NACA0012</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=tubercles" title=" tubercles"> tubercles</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=unmanned%20space%20robots" title=" unmanned space robots"> unmanned space robots</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/117446/effect-of-wavy-leading-edges-on-wings-in-different-planetary-atmospheres" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/117446.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">146</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">43</span> A Case Study of Assessment of Fire Affected Concrete Structure by NDT</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nikhil%20Gopalkrishnan">Nikhil Gopalkrishnan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Praveen%20Bhaskaran"> Praveen Bhaskaran</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Bhargava"> Aditya Bhargava</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gyandeep%20Bhumarkar"> Gyandeep Bhumarkar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The present paper is an attempt to perform various Non-Destructive Tests on concrete structure as NDT is gaining a wide importance in the branch of civil engineering these days. Various tests that are performed under NDT not only enable us to determine the strength of concrete structure, but also provide us in-hand information regarding the durability, in-situ properties of the concrete structure. Keeping these points in our mind, we have focused our views on performing a case study to show the comparison between the NDT test results performed on a particular concrete structure and another structure at the same site which is subjected to a continuous fire of say 48-72 hours. The mix design and concrete grade of both the structures were same before the one was affected by fire. The variations in the compressive strength, concrete quality and in-situ properties of the two structures have been discussed in this paper. NDT tests namely Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test, Rebound Hammer Test, Core-Cutter Test was performed at both the sites. The main objective of this research is to analyze the variations in the strength and quality of the concrete structure which is subjected to a high temperature fire and the one which isn’t exposed to it. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=core-cutter%20test" title="core-cutter test">core-cutter test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=non-destructive%20test" title=" non-destructive test"> non-destructive test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rebound%20hammer%20test" title=" rebound hammer test"> rebound hammer test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ultrasonic%20pulse%20velocity%20test" title=" ultrasonic pulse velocity test"> ultrasonic pulse velocity test</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/42037/a-case-study-of-assessment-of-fire-affected-concrete-structure-by-ndt" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/42037.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">349</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">42</span> Computational Analysis of Variation in Thrust of Oblique Detonation Ramjet Engine With Adaptive Inlet</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya">Aditya</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ganapati%20Joshi"> Ganapati Joshi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vinod%20Kumar"> Vinod Kumar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> IN THE MODERN-WARFARE ERA, THE PRIME REQUIREMENT IS A HIGH SPEED AND MACH NUMBER. WHEN THE MISSILES STRIKE IN THE HYPERSONIC REGIME THE OPPONENT CAN DETECT IT WITH THE ANTI-DEFENSE SYSTEM BUT CAN NOT STOP IT FROM CAUSING DAMAGE. SO, TO ACHIEVE THE SPEEDS OF THIS LEVEL THERE ARE TWO ENGINES THAT ARE AVAILABLE WHICH CAN WORK IN THIS REGION ARE RAMJET AND SCRAMJET. THE PROBLEM WITH RAMJET STARTS TO OCCUR WHEN MACH NUMBER EXCEEDS 4 AS THE STATIC PRESSURE AT THE INLET BECOMES EQUAL TO THE EXIT PRESSURE. SO, SCRAMJET ENGINE DEALS WITH THIS PROBLEM AS IT NEARLY HAS THE SAME WORKING BUT HERE THE FLOW IS NOT MUCH SLOWED DOWN AS COMPARED TO RAMJET IN THE DIFFUSER BUT IT SUFFERS FROM THE PROBLEMS SUCH AS INLET BUZZ, THERMAL CHOCKING, MIXING OF FUEL AND OXIDIZER, THERMAL HEATING, AND MANY MORE. HERE THE NEW ENGINE IS DEVELOPED ON THE SAME PRINCIPLE AS THE SCRAMJET ENGINE BUT BURNING HAPPENS DUE TO DETONATION INSTEAD OF DEFLAGRATION. THE PROBLEM WITH THE ENGINE STARTS WHEN THE MACH NUMBER BECOMES VARIABLE AND THE INLET GEOMETRY IS FIXED AND THIS LEADS TO INLET SPILLAGE WHICH WILL AFFECT THE THRUST ADVERSELY. Majority of the people wear helmets while traveling and know how important it is to wear helmets for their safety. Still, the number of deaths because of road accidents involving two-wheelers is significant. We had conducted a survey by traveling within and in the outskirts of Delhi so as to see the variation in data and in the opinion of people towards helmet being a safety device rather than to escape the traffic police. We conducted a survey at traffic junctions and crossings of all the stakeholders and collected feedback on the Helmet scenario in India. According to the survey, the possible reason for these deaths is that the people, being unaware of helmet safety standards (ISI standards for helmets), buy helmets with fake ISI mark from unauthorized helmet sellers for a cheap price. Also, for the people who do not wear a helmet at all or wear a helmet just because it is a law, the reasons that they do not want to wear a helmet is heavyweight, lack of ventilation, inconvenience due to a strap, and hair problems. To address all these problems, we are designing a helmet with reduced weight and also working on the Helmet’s retention system and ventilation. We plan to provide this product at a cheap cost whilst maintaining the ISI standards so that a larger section of the population would be able to afford the helmet. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=safety" title="safety">safety</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=survey" title=" survey"> survey</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ISI%20marks" title=" ISI marks"> ISI marks</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stakeholders" title=" stakeholders"> stakeholders</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=helmet" title=" helmet"> helmet</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/86989/analysis-of-user-complaints-and-preferences-by-conducting-user-surveys-to-ascertain-the-need-for-change-in-current-design-of-helmets" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/86989.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">279</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">40</span> Bioremediation of Sea Food Waste in Solid State Fermentation along with Production of Bioactive Agents</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rahul%20Warmoota">Rahul Warmoota</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aditya%20Bhardwaj"> Aditya Bhardwaj</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Steffy%20Angural"> Steffy Angural</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Monika%20Rana"> Monika Rana</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sunena%20Jassal"> Sunena Jassal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Neena%20Puri"> Neena Puri</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Naveen%20Gupta"> Naveen Gupta</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Seafood processing generates large volumes of waste products such as skin, heads, tails, shells, scales, backbones, etc. Pollution due to conventional methods of seafood waste disposal causes negative implications on the environment, aquatic life, and human health. Moreover, these waste products can be used for the production of high-value products which are still untapped due to inappropriate management. Paenibacillus sp. AD is known to act on chitinolytic and proteinaceous waste and was explored for its potential to degrade various types of seafood waste in solid-state fermentation. Effective degradation of seafood waste generated from a variety of sources such as fish scales, crab shells, prawn shells, and a mixture of such wastes was observed. 30 to 40 percent degradation in terms of decrease in the mass was achieved. Along with the degradation, chitinolytic and proteolytic enzymes were produced, which can have various biotechnological applications. Apart from this, value-added products such as chitin oligosaccharides and peptides of various degrees of polymerization were also produced, which can be used for various therapeutic purposes. Results indicated that Paenibacillus sp. AD can be used for the development of a process for the infield degradation of seafood waste. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=chitin" title="chitin">chitin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=chitin-oligosaccharides" title=" chitin-oligosaccharides"> chitin-oligosaccharides</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=chitinase" title=" chitinase"> chitinase</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=protease" title=" protease"> protease</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=biodegradation" title=" biodegradation"> biodegradation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=crab%20shells" title=" crab shells"> crab shells</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=prawn%20shells" title=" prawn shells"> prawn shells</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fish%20scales" title=" fish scales"> fish scales</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/161494/bioremediation-of-sea-food-waste-in-solid-state-fermentation-along-with-production-of-bioactive-agents" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/161494.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">98</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">39</span> Providing a Secure, Reliable and Decentralized Document Management Solution Using Blockchain by a Virtual Identity Card</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Meet%20Shah">Meet Shah</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ankita%20Aditya"> Ankita Aditya</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dhruv%20Bindra"> Dhruv Bindra</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=V.%20S.%20Omkar"> V. The current system and techniques which are used for identification need one thing, that is ‘proof of existence’, which involves valid documents, for example, educational, financial, etc. The main issue with the current identity access management system and digital identification process is that the system is centralized in their network, which makes it inefficient. The paper presents the system which resolves all these cited issues. It is based on ‘blockchain’ technology, which is a 'decentralized system'. It allows transactions in a decentralized and immutable manner. The primary notion of the model is to ‘have everything with nothing’. It involves inter-linking required documents of a person with a single identity card so that a person can go anywhere without having the required documents with him/her. The person just needs to be physically present at a place wherein documents are necessary, and using a fingerprint impression and an iris scan print, the rest of the verification will progress. Furthermore, some technical overheads and advancements are listed. This paper also aims to layout its far-vision scenario of blockchain and its impact on future trends. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=blockchain" title="blockchain">blockchain</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=decentralized%20system" title=" decentralized system"> decentralized system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fingerprint%20impression" title=" fingerprint impression"> fingerprint impression</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=identity%20management" title=" identity management"> identity management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=iris%20scan" title=" iris scan"> iris scan</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/118996/providing-a-secure-reliable-and-decentralized-document-management-solution-using-blockchain-by-a-virtual-identity-card" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/118996.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">129</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">38</span> Orbiting Intelligence: A Comprehensive Survey of AI Applications and Advancements in Space Exploration</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Somoshree%20Datta">Somoshree Datta</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chithra%20A.%20V."> Chithra A. Considering this fact, scrutiny of rainfall and temperature trend has been carried out over the command area of Eastern Ganga Canal project for pre-climate shift period and post-climate shift periods in the present study. Non-parametric Mann-Kendall and Sen’s methods have been applied to study the trends in annual rainfall, seasonal rainfall, annual rainy day, monsoonal rainy days, average annual temperature and seasonal temperature. The results showed decreasing trend of 48.11 to 42.17 mm/decade in annual rainfall and 79.78 tSo 49.67 mm/decade in monsoon rainfall in pre-climate to post-climate shift periods, respectively. The decreasing trend of 1 to 4 days/decade has been observed in annual rainy days from pre-climate to post-climate shift period. Trends in temperature revealed that there were significant decreasing trends in annual (-0.03 ºC/yr), Kharif (-0.02 ºC/yr), Rabi (-0.04 ºC/yr) and summer (-0.02 ºC/yr) season temperature during pre-climate shift period, whereas the significant increasing trend (0.02 ºC/yr) has been observed in all the four parameters during post climate shift period. These results will help project managers in understanding the climate shift and lead them to develop alternative water management strategies. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a
