The delivered quantities are huge. The countries must bear the inventory holding cost according to the variation of stock quantities. This cost depends on the speed of the vaccination in the country. This speed is time-dependent. The vaccinated portion of the population can be approximated by the cumulative distribution function of the Cauchy distribution. A model is provided for determining the minimal-cost inventory policy, and its optimality conditions are provided. The model is solved for 20 countries for different numbers of procurements. The results reveal the individual behavior of each country. We provide an inventory policy for the pandemic period for the countries. This paper presents a deterministic model for vaccines with a demand rate variable over time for the countries. It is aimed to provide an analytical model to deal with the minimization of holding cost and develop inventory policies regarding this aim to be used for a variety of perishable products such as vaccines. The saturation process is introduced, and an approximation of the vaccination curve of the countries has been discussed. According to this aspect, a deterministic model for inventory policy has been developed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=covid-19" title="covid-19">covid-19</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=vaccination" title=" vaccination"> vaccination</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20policy" title=" inventory policy"> inventory policy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bounded%20total%20demand" title=" bounded total demand"> bounded total demand</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20holding%20cost" title=" inventory holding cost"> inventory holding cost</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cauchy%20distribution" title=" cauchy distribution"> cauchy distribution</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sigmoid%20function" title=" sigmoid function"> sigmoid function</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/162848/inventory-policy-above-country-level-for-cooperating-countries-for-vaccines" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/162848.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">75</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7034</span> Two-Warehouse Inventory Model for Deteriorating Items with Inventory-Level-Dependent Demand under Two Dispatching Policies</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lei%20Zhao">Lei Zhao</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zhe%20Yuan"> Zhe Yuan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wenyue%20Kuang"> Wenyue Kuang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper studies two-warehouse inventory models for a deteriorating item considering that the demand is influenced by inventory levels. The problem mainly focuses on the optimal order policy and the optimal order cycle with inventory-level-dependent demand in two-warehouse system for retailers. It considers the different deterioration rates and the inventory holding costs in owned warehouse (OW) and rented warehouse (RW), and the conditions of transportation cost, allowed shortage and partial backlogging. Two inventory models are formulated: last-in first-out (LIFO) model and first-in-first-out (FIFO) model based on the policy choices of LIFO and FIFO, and a comparative analysis of LIFO model and FIFO model is made. The study finds that the FIFO policy is more in line with realistic operating conditions. Especially when the inventory holding cost of OW is high, and there is no difference or big difference between deterioration rates of OW and RW, the FIFO policy has better applicability. Meanwhile, this paper considers the differences between the effects of warehouse and shelf inventory levels on demand, and then builds retailers’ inventory decision model and studies the factors of the optimal order quantity, the optimal order cycle and the average inventory cost per unit time. To minimize the average total cost, the optimal dispatching policies are provided for retailers’ decisions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=FIFO%20model" title="FIFO model">FIFO model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory-level-dependent" title=" inventory-level-dependent"> inventory-level-dependent</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=LIFO%20model" title=" LIFO model"> LIFO model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=two-warehouse%20inventory" title=" two-warehouse inventory"> two-warehouse inventory</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/50101/two-warehouse-inventory-model-for-deteriorating-items-with-inventory-level-dependent-demand-under-two-dispatching-policies" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/50101.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">279</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7033</span> An Economic Order Quantity Model for Deteriorating Items with Ramp Type Demand, Time Dependent Holding Cost and Price Discount Offered on Backorders</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Arjun%20Paul">Arjun Paul</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Adrijit%20Goswami"> Adrijit Goswami</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In our present work, an economic order quantity inventory model with shortages is developed where holding cost is expressed as linearly increasing function of time and demand rate is a ramp type function of time. The items considered in the model are deteriorating in nature so that a small fraction of the items is depleted with the passage of time. In order to consider a more realistic situation, the deterioration rate is assumed to follow a continuous uniform distribution with the parameters involved being triangular fuzzy numbers. The inventory manager offers his customer a discount in case he is willing to backorder his demand when there is a stock-out. The optimum ordering policy and the optimum discount offered for each backorder are determined by minimizing the total cost in a replenishment interval. For better illustration of our proposed model in both the crisp and fuzzy sense and for providing richer insights, a numerical example is cited to exemplify the policy and to analyze the sensitivity of the model parameters. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fuzzy%20deterioration%20rate" title="fuzzy deterioration rate">fuzzy deterioration rate</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=price%20discount%20on%20backorder" title=" price discount on backorder"> price discount on backorder</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ramp%20type%20demand" title=" ramp type demand"> ramp type demand</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=shortage" title=" shortage"> shortage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=time%20varying%20holding%20cost" title=" time varying holding cost"> time varying holding cost</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/80703/an-economic-order-quantity-model-for-deteriorating-items-with-ramp-type-demand-time-dependent-holding-cost-and-price-discount-offered-on-backorders" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/80703.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">197</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7032</span> On Disaggregation and Consolidation of Imperfect Quality Shipments in an Extended EPQ Model</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hung-Chi%20Chang">Hung-Chi Chang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> For an extended EPQ model with random yield, the existent study revealed that both the disaggregating and consolidating shipment policies for the imperfect quality items are independent of holding cost, and recommended a model with economic benefit by comparing the least total cost for each of the three models investigated. Alugongo</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Periodic and continuous inventory models are the two classical management tools used to handle inventories. These models have advantages and disadvantages. The implementation of both continuous (r,Q) inventory and periodic (R, S) inventory models in most manufacturing plants comes with higher cost. Such high inventory costs are due to the fact that most manufacturing plants are not flexible enough. Since demand and lead-time are two important variables of every inventory models, their effect on the flexibility of the manufacturing plant matter most. Unfortunately, these effects are not clearly understood by managers. The reason is that the decision parameters of the continuous (r, Q) inventory and periodic (R, S) inventory models are not designed to effectively deal with the issues of uncertainties such as poor manufacturing performances, delivery performance supplies performances. There is, therefore, a need to come up with a predictive and hybrid inventory model that can combine in some sense the feature of the aforementioned inventory models. A linear combination technique is used to hybridize both continuous (r, Q) inventory and periodic (R, S) inventory models. The behavior of such hybrid inventory model is described by a differential equation and then optimized. From the results obtained after simulation, the continuous (r, Q) inventory model is more effective than the periodic (R, S) inventory models in the short run, but this difference changes as time goes by. Because the hybrid inventory model is more cost effective than the continuous (r,Q) inventory and periodic (R, S) inventory models in long run, it should be implemented for strategic decisions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=periodic%20inventory" title="periodic inventory">periodic inventory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=continuous%20inventory" title=" continuous inventory"> continuous inventory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hybrid%20inventory" title=" hybrid inventory"> hybrid inventory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=optimization" title=" optimization"> optimization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=manufacturing%20plant" title=" manufacturing plant"> manufacturing plant</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/64054/hybrid-inventory-model-optimization-under-uncertainties-a-case-study-in-a-manufacturing-plant" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/64054.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">382</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7030</span> Modeling the Three - Echelon Repairable Parts Inventory System under (S-1, S) Policy</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rohit%20Kapoor">Rohit Kapoor</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, an attempt is made to formulate 3-echelon repairable parts inventory system under (S-1, S) policy. It implies that there are lesser finished good on hand and more in the process because the work remains in the factory too long and cannot be sold to either customers The supply chain of most manufacturing system is then considered as inefficient as it take so much time to produce the finished good. Time consumed in each operation of the supply chain has an associated energy costs. Such phenomena can be harmful for a hybrid inventory system because a lot of space to store these semi-finished goods may be needed and one is not sure about the final energy cost of producing, holding and delivering the good to customers. The principle that reduces waste of energy within the supply chain of most manufacturing firms should therefore be available to all inventory managers in pursuit of profitability. Decision making by inventory managers in this condition is a modeling process, whereby a dynamical approach is used to depict, examine, specify and even operationalize the relationship between energy consumption and hybrid inventory level. The relationship between energy consumption and inventory level is established, which indicates a poor level of control and hence a potential for energy savings. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dynamic%20modelling" title="dynamic modelling">dynamic modelling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=energy%20used" title=" energy used"> energy used</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hybrid%20inventory" title=" hybrid inventory"> hybrid inventory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=supply%20chain" title=" supply chain"> supply chain</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41799/a-dynamical-approach-for-relating-energy-consumption-to-hybrid-inventory-level-in-the-supply-chain" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41799.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">267</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7028</span> Cost-Optimized Extra-Lateral Transshipments</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dilupa%20Nakandala">Dilupa Nakandala</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Henry%20Lau"> Henry Lau</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Ever increasing demand for cost efficiency and customer satisfaction through reliable delivery have been a mandate for logistics practitioners to continually improve inventory management processes. These high costs affect the system flexibility which in turn affects the level of service required to satisfy customers. However, these effects are not clearly understood because the parameters of both inventory review policies (protection demand interval, order quantity, etc.) are not designed to be fully utilized under different and uncertain conditions such as poor manufacturing, supplies and delivery performance. Coming up with a hybrid model which may combine in some sense the feature of both continuous and a periodic inventory review models should be useful. Therefore, there is a need to build and evaluate such hybrid model on the annual total cost, stock out probability and system’s flexibility in order to search for the most cost effective inventory review model. This work also seeks to find the optimal sets of parameters of inventory management under stochastic condition so as to optimise each policy independently. The results reveal that a continuous inventory system always incurs lesser cost than a periodic (R, S) inventory system, but this difference tends to decrease as time goes by. Although the hybrid inventory is the only one that can yield lesser cost over time, it is not always desirable but also natural to use it in order to help the system to meet high performance specification. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=demand%20and%20lead%20time%20randomness" title="demand and lead time randomness">demand and lead time randomness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hybrid%20Inventory%20model" title=" hybrid Inventory model"> hybrid Inventory model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=optimization" title=" optimization"> optimization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=supply%20chain" title=" supply chain"> supply chain</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41794/optimizing-a-hybrid-inventory-system-with-random-demand-and-lead-time" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41794.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">313</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7026</span> A Robust Optimization for Multi-Period Lost-Sales Inventory Control Problem</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shunichi%20Ohmori">Shunichi Ohmori</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sirawadee%20Arunyanart"> Sirawadee Arunyanart</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kazuho%20Yoshimoto"> Kazuho Yoshimoto</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> We consider a periodic review inventory control problem of minimizing production cost, inventory cost, and lost-sales under demand uncertainty, in which product demands are not specified exactly and it is only known to belong to a given uncertainty set, yet the constraints must hold for possible values of the data from the uncertainty set. We name it as a Joint Replenishment and Heterogeneous Vehicle Routing Problem with Cyclical Schedule and formulate it as a non-linear mixed-integer linear programming problem which simultaneously determines the length of the planning cycle (PC), the length of the replenishment cycle and the dates of replenishment for each customer and the vehicle routes of each day within PC, such that the average daily operation cost within PC, including inventory holding cost, setup cost, transportation cost, and overtime labor cost, is minimized. A solution method based on genetic algorithm, embedded with an encoding and decoding mechanism and local search operators, is then proposed, and the hash function is adopted to avoid repetitive fitness evaluation for identical solutions. Numerical experiments demonstrate that the proposed solution method can effectively solve the problem under different lengths of PC and number of customers. The method is also shown to be effective in determining whether the company should expand the storage capacity of a customer whose demand increases. Sensitivity analysis of the vehicle fleet composition shows that deploying a mixed fleet can reduce the daily operating cost. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cyclic%20inventory%20routing%20problem" title="cyclic inventory routing problem">cyclic inventory routing problem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=joint%20replenishment" title=" joint replenishment"> joint replenishment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=heterogeneous%20vehicle" title=" heterogeneous vehicle"> heterogeneous vehicle</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=genetic%20algorithm" title=" genetic algorithm"> genetic algorithm</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/159424/joint-replenishment-and-heterogeneous-vehicle-routing-problem-with-cyclical-schedule" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/159424.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">87</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7024</span> Green Supply Chain Design: A Mathematical Modeling Approach</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nusrat%20T.%20Chowdhury">Nusrat T. The various activities contributing to carbon emissions in a supply chain are transportation, ordering and holding of inventory. This research work develops a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model that considers the scenario of a supply chain with multiple periods, multiple products and multiple suppliers. The model assumes that the demand is deterministic, the buyer has a limited storage space in each period, the buyer is responsible for the transportation cost, a supplier-dependent ordering cost applies for each period in which an order is placed on a supplier and inventory shortage is permissible. The model provides an optimal decision regarding what products to order, in what quantities, with which suppliers, and in which periods in order to maximize the profit. For the purpose of evaluating the carbon emissions, three different carbon regulating policies i.e., carbon cap-and-trade, the strict cap on carbon emission and carbon tax on emissions, have been considered. The proposed MINLP has been validated using a randomly generated data set. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=green%20supply%20chain" title="green supply chain">green supply chain</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=carbon%20emission" title=" carbon emission"> carbon emission</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mixed%20integer%20non-linear%20program" title=" mixed integer non-linear program"> mixed integer non-linear program</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20shortage" title=" inventory shortage"> inventory shortage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=carbon%20cap-and-trade" title=" carbon cap-and-trade"> carbon cap-and-trade</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/141434/green-supply-chain-design-a-mathematical-modeling-approach" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/141434.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">239</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7023</span> A Multi Objective Reliable Location-Inventory Capacitated Disruption Facility Problem with Penalty Cost Solve with Efficient Meta Historic Algorithms</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Elham%20Taghizadeh">Elham Taghizadeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mostafa%20Abedzadeh"> Mostafa Abedzadeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mostafa%20Setak"> Mostafa Setak</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Logistics network is expected that opened facilities work continuously for a long time horizon without any failure; but in real world problems, facilities may face disruptions. This paper studies a reliable joint inventory location problem to optimize cost of facility locations, customers’ assignment, and inventory management decisions when facilities face failure risks and doesn’t work. In our model we assume when a facility is out of work, its customers may be reassigned to other operational facilities otherwise they must endure high penalty costs associated with losing service. For defining the model closer to real world problems, the model is proposed based on p-median problem and the facilities are considered to have limited capacities. We define a new binary variable (Z_is) for showing that customers are not assigned to any facilities. Our problem involve a bi-objective model; the first one minimizes the sum of facility construction costs and expected inventory holding costs, the second one function that mention for the first one is minimizes maximum expected customer costs under normal and failure scenarios. For solving this model we use NSGAII and MOSS algorithms have been applied to find the pareto- archive solution. Also Response Surface Methodology (RSM) is applied for optimizing the NSGAII Algorithm Parameters. We compare performance of two algorithms with three metrics and the results show NSGAII is more suitable for our model. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=joint%20inventory-location%20problem" title="joint inventory-location problem">joint inventory-location problem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=facility%20location" title=" facility location"> facility location</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=NSGAII" title=" NSGAII"> NSGAII</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MOSS" title=" MOSS"> MOSS</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/12267/a-multi-objective-reliable-location-inventory-capacitated-disruption-facility-problem-with-penalty-cost-solve-with-efficient-meta-historic-algorithms" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/12267.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">525</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7022</span> Soft Computing Employment to Optimize Safety Stock Levels in Supply Chain Dairy Product under Supply and Demand Uncertainty</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Riyadh%20Jamegh">Riyadh Jamegh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Alla%20Eldin%20Kassam"> Alla Eldin Kassam</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sawsan%20Sabih"> Sawsan Sabih</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In order to overcome uncertainty conditions and inability to meet customers' requests due to these conditions, organizations tend to reserve a certain safety stock level (SSL). This level must be chosen carefully in order to avoid the increase in holding cost due to excess in SSL or shortage cost due to too low SSL. This paper used soft computing fuzzy logic to identify optimal SSL; this fuzzy model uses the dynamic concept to cope with high complexity environment status. The proposed model can deal with three input variables, i.e., demand stability level, raw material availability level, and on hand inventory level by using dynamic fuzzy logic to obtain the best SSL as an output. In this model, demand stability, raw material, and on hand inventory levels are described linguistically and then treated by inference rules of the fuzzy model to extract the best level of safety stock. The aim of this research is to provide dynamic approach which is used to identify safety stock level, and it can be implanted in different industries. Numerical case study in the dairy industry with Yogurt 200 gm cup product is explained to approve the validity of the proposed model. The obtained results are compared with the current level of safety stock which is calculated by using the traditional approach. The importance of the proposed model has been demonstrated by the significant reduction in safety stock level. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20optimization" title="inventory optimization">inventory optimization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=soft%20computing" title=" soft computing"> soft computing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=safety%20stock%20optimization" title=" safety stock optimization"> safety stock optimization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dairy%20industries%20inventory%20optimization" title=" dairy industries inventory optimization"> dairy industries inventory optimization</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/102674/soft-computing-employment-to-optimize-safety-stock-levels-in-supply-chain-dairy-product-under-supply-and-demand-uncertainty" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/102674.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">125</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7021</span> Optimization of Economic Order Quantity of Multi-Item Inventory Control Problem through Nonlinear Programming Technique</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Prabha%20Rohatgi">Prabha Rohatgi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> To obtain an efficient control over a huge amount of inventory of drugs in pharmacy department of any hospital, generally, the medicines are categorized on the basis of their cost ‘ABC’ (Always Better Control), first and then categorize on the basis of their criticality ‘VED’ (Vital, Essential, desirable) for prioritization. About one-third of the annual expenditure of a hospital is spent on medicines. To minimize the inventory investment, the hospital management may like to keep the medicines inventory low, as medicines are perishable items. The main aim of each and every hospital is to provide better services to the patients under certain limited resources. To achieve the satisfactory level of health care services to outdoor patients, a hospital has to keep eye on the wastage of medicines because expiry date of medicines causes a great loss of money though it was limited and allocated for a particular period of time. The objectives of this study are to identify the categories of medicines requiring incentive managerial control. In this paper, to minimize the total inventory cost and the cost associated with the wastage of money due to expiry of medicines, an inventory control model is used as an estimation tool and then nonlinear programming technique is used under limited budget and fixed number of orders to be placed in a limited time period. Numerical computations have been given and shown that by using scientific methods in hospital services, we can give more effective way of inventory management under limited resources and can provide better health care services. The secondary data has been collected from a hospital to give empirical evidence. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ABC-VED%20inventory%20classification" title="ABC-VED inventory classification">ABC-VED inventory classification</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=multi%20item%20inventory%20problem" title=" multi item inventory problem"> multi item inventory problem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nonlinear%20programming%20technique" title=" nonlinear programming technique"> nonlinear programming technique</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=optimization%20of%20EOQ" title=" optimization of EOQ"> optimization of EOQ</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68645/optimization-of-economic-order-quantity-of-multi-item-inventory-control-problem-through-nonlinear-programming-technique" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68645.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">255</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7020</span> Designing Inventory System with Constrained by Reducing Ordering Cost, Lead Time and Lost Sale Rate and Considering Random Disturbance in Ordering Quantity</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Arezoo%20Heidary">Arezoo Heidary</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abolfazl%20Mirzazadeh"> Abolfazl Mirzazadeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aref%20Gholami-Qadikolaei"> Aref Gholami-Qadikolaei</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In the business environment it is very common that a lot received may not be equal to quantity ordered. in this work, a random disturbance in a received quantity is considered. Our work shows how the product freshness in conjunction with the inventory deterioration affects the inventory management decisions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20management" title="inventory management">inventory management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lot%20sizing" title=" lot sizing"> lot sizing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=perishable%20products" title=" perishable products"> perishable products</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=deteriorating%20inventory" title=" deteriorating inventory"> deteriorating inventory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=age-dependent%20demand" title=" age-dependent demand"> age-dependent demand</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stock-dependent%20demand" title=" stock-dependent demand"> stock-dependent demand</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/86620/inventory-decisions-for-perishable-products-with-age-and-stock-dependent-demand-rate" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/86620.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">234</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7016</span> Virtual Container Yard: A Paradigm Shift in Container Inventory Management</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lalith%20Edirisinghe">Lalith Edirisinghe</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zhihong%20Jin"> Zhihong Jin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=A.W.%20Wijeratne"> A.W. Virtual container yard (VCY) is a concept developed in 2013 and its primary objective is to minimize shipping transport cost through implementing container exchange between carriers. Shipping lines always try to maintain lower container idle time and provide higher customer satisfaction. However, it is disappointing to note that carriers turn a blind eye to the escalating cost resulted from the present inefficient CIM mechanism. The cost of empty container management is simply transferred to the importers and exporters as freight adjustments. It also creates an environmental hazard. Therefore, it has now become a problem for the society. Therefore, a paradigm shift may be required as the present CIM system is not working for common interests of human beings as it should be. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=collaboation" title="collaboation">collaboation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory" title=" inventory"> inventory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=shipping" title=" shipping"> shipping</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=virtual%20container%20yard" title=" virtual container yard"> virtual container yard</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/126828/virtual-container-yard-a-paradigm-shift-in-container-inventory-management" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/126828.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">263</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7015</span> Imperfect Production Inventory Model with Inspection Errors and Fuzzy Demand and Deterioration Rates</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chayanika%20Rout">Chayanika Rout</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Debjani%20Chakraborty"> Debjani Chakraborty</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Adrijit%20Goswami"> Adrijit Goswami</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Our work presents an inventory model which illustrates imperfect production and imperfect inspection processes for deteriorating items. A cost-minimizing model is studied considering two types of inspection errors, namely, Type I error of falsely screening out a proportion of non-defects, thereby passing them on for rework and Type II error of falsely not screening out a proportion of defects, thus selling those to customers which incurs a penalty cost. The screened items are reworked; however, no returns are entertained due to deteriorating nature of the items. In more practical situations, certain parameters such as the demand rate and the deterioration rate of inventory cannot be accurately determined, and therefore, they are assumed to be triangular fuzzy numbers in our model. We calculate the optimal lot size that must be produced in order to minimize the total inventory cost for both the crisp and the fuzzy models. A numerical example is also considered to exemplify the procedure which is followed by the analysis of sensitivity of various parameters on the decision variable and the objective function. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=deteriorating%20items" title="deteriorating items">deteriorating items</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=EPQ" title=" EPQ"> EPQ</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=imperfect%20quality" title=" imperfect quality"> imperfect quality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rework" title=" rework"> rework</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=type%20I%20and%20type%20II%20inspection%20errors" title=" type I and type II inspection errors"> type I and type II inspection errors</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/80699/imperfect-production-inventory-model-with-inspection-errors-and-fuzzy-demand-and-deterioration-rates" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/80699.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">182</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7014</span> A Study on ESD Protection Circuit Applying Silicon Controlled Rectifier-Based Stack Technology with High Holding Voltage</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hee-Guk%20Chae">Hee-Guk Chae</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bo-Bae%20Song"> Bo-Bae Song</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kyoung-Il%20Do"> Kyoung-Il Do</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jeong-Yun%20Seo"> Jeong-Yun Seo</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yong-Seo%20Koo"> Yong-Seo Koo</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this study, an improved Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection circuit with low trigger voltage and high holding voltage is proposed. It comprises keeping track of supply levels and forecasting demand, as well as scheduling when and how to plan. Keeping excess inventory results in a loss of money, takes up physical space, and raises the risk of damage, spoilage, and loss. On the other hand, too little inventory frequently causes operations to be disrupted and raises the possibility of low customer satisfaction, both of which can be detrimental to a company's reputation. The United Victorious Feed mill Corporation's present inventory management practices were assessed in terms of inventory level, warehouse allocation, ordering frequency, shelf life, and production requirement. To help the company achieve their optimal level of inventory, a mathematical model was created using Integer Linear Programming. Due to the season, the goal function was to reduce the cost of purchasing US Soya and Yellow Corn. Warehouse space, annual production requirements, and shelf life were all considered. To ensure that the user only uses one application to record all relevant information, like production output and delivery, the researcher built a Visual Basic system. Additionally, the technology allows management to change the model's parameters. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20management" title="inventory management">inventory management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=integer%20linear%20programming" title=" integer linear programming"> integer linear programming</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20management%20system" title=" inventory management system"> inventory management system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=feed%20mill" title=" feed mill"> feed mill</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/160839/inventory-management-system-of-seasonal-raw-materials-of-feeds-at-san-jose-batangas-through-integer-linear-programming-and-vba" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/160839.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">83</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7012</span> Food Supply Chain Optimization: Achieving Cost Effectiveness Using Predictive Analytics</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jayant%20Kumar">Jayant Kumar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aarcha%20Jayachandran%20Sasikala"> Aarcha Jayachandran Sasikala</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Barry%20Adrian%20Shepherd"> Barry Adrian Shepherd</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Public Distribution System is a flagship welfare programme of the Government of India with both historical and political significance. Firms look for small inventories in order to reduce holding costs, namely opportunity cost, warehousing and handling costs, deterioration and being out of style, but larger inventories are required by some reasons, such as customer service, ordering cost, transportation cost, supplier’s payment to reduce unit costs or to take advantage of price increase in the near future, and equipment setup cost. Thus, management shall address a trade-off between small inventories and larger inventories. This literature review concerns three types of inventory (spare parts, safety stock, and vendor) whose management usually is beyond the scope of logistics. The applied methodology consisted of an online search of databases regarding scientific documents in English, namely Elsevier, Springer, Emerald, Wiley, and Taylor & Francis, but excluding books except if edited, using search engines, such as Google Scholar and B-on. The search was based on three keywords/strings (themes) which had to be included just as in the article title, suggesting themes were very relevant to the researchers. The whole search period was between 2009 and 2018 with the aim of collecting between twenty and forty studies considered relevant within each of the key words/strings specified. Documents were sorted by relevance and to prevent the exclusion of the more recent articles, based on lower quantity of citations partially due to less time to be cited in new research articles, the search period was divided into two sub-periods (2009-2015 and 2016-2018). The number of surveyed articles by theme showed a variation from 40 to 200 and the number of citations of those articles showed a wider variation from 3 to 216. Selected articles from the three themes were analyzed and the first seven of the first sub-period and the first three of the second sub-period with more citations were read in full to make a synopsis of each article. Overall, the findings show that the majority of article types were models, namely mathematical, although with different sub-types for each theme. Almost all articles suggest further studies, with some mentioning it for their own author(s), which widen the diversity of the previous research. Identified research gaps concern the use of surveys to know which are the models more used by firms, the reasons for not using the models with more performance and accuracy, and which are the satisfaction levels with the outcomes of the inventories management and its effect on the improvement of the firm’s overall performance. The review ends with the limitations and contributions of the study. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20management" title="inventory management">inventory management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=safety%20stock" title=" safety stock"> safety stock</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=spare%20parts%20inventory" title=" spare parts inventory"> spare parts inventory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=vendor%20managed%20inventory" title=" vendor managed inventory"> vendor managed inventory</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/127790/a-systematic-literature-review-of-specific-types-of-inventory-faced-by-the-management-of-firms" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/127790.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">96</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7010</span> Transport Mode Selection under Lead Time Variability and Emissions Constraint</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chiranjit%20Das">Chiranjit Das</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sanjay%20Jharkharia"> Sanjay Jharkharia</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This study is focused on transport mode selection under lead time variability and emissions constraint. In order to reduce the carbon emissions generation due to transportation, organization has often faced a dilemmatic choice of transport mode selection since logistic cost and emissions reduction are complementary with each other. Another important aspect of transportation decision is lead-time variability which is least considered in transport mode selection problem. Thus, in this study, we provide a comprehensive mathematical based analytical model to decide transport mode selection under emissions constraint. We also extend our work through analysing the effect of lead time variability in the transport mode selection by a sensitivity analysis. In order to account lead time variability into the model, two identically normally distributed random variables are incorporated in this study including unit lead time variability and lead time demand variability. Therefore, in this study, we are addressing following questions: How the decisions of transport mode selection will be affected by lead time variability? How lead time variability will impact on total supply chain cost under carbon emissions? To accomplish these objectives, a total transportation cost function is developed including unit purchasing cost, unit transportation cost, emissions cost, holding cost during lead time, and penalty cost for stock out due to lead time variability. A set of modes is available to transport each node, in this paper, we consider only four transport modes such as air, road, rail, and water. Transportation cost, distance, emissions level for each transport mode is considered as deterministic and static in this paper. Each mode is having different emissions level depending on the distance and product characteristics. Emissions cost is indirectly affected by the lead time variability if there is any switching of transport mode from lower emissions prone transport mode to higher emissions prone transport mode in order to reduce penalty cost. We provide a numerical analysis in order to study the effectiveness of the mathematical model. We found that chances of stock out during lead time will be higher due to the higher variability of lead time and lad time demand. Numerical results show that penalty cost of air transport mode is negative that means chances of stock out zero, but, having higher holding and emissions cost. Therefore, air transport mode is only selected when there is any emergency order to reduce penalty cost, otherwise, rail and road transport is the most preferred mode of transportation. Thus, this paper is contributing to the literature by a novel approach to decide transport mode under emissions cost and lead time variability. This model can be extended by studying the effect of lead time variability under some other strategic transportation issues such as modal split option, full truck load strategy, and demand consolidation strategy etc. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=carbon%20emissions" title="carbon emissions">carbon emissions</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inventory%20theoretic%20model" title=" inventory theoretic model"> inventory theoretic model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lead%20time%20variability" title=" lead time variability"> lead time variability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=transport%20mode%20selection" title=" transport mode selection"> transport mode selection</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68507/transport-mode-selection-under-lead-time-variability-and-emissions-constraint" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68507.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">434</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7009</span> Influence of Radio Frequency Identification Technology at Cost of Supply Chain as a Driver for the Generation of Competitive Advantage</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mona%20Baniahmadi">Mona Baniahmadi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Saied%20Haghanifar"> Saied Haghanifar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is regarded as a promising technology for the optimization of supply chain processes since it improves manufacturing and retail operations from forecasting demand for planning, managing inventory, and distribution. To achieve the aim, physical analysis method and excel commands were carried out to elicit the customer and supplier data provided by the company. Initially, we rearranged the current lot sizes and MOUs (measure of units) in SAP software. Due to change in lot sizes we have to determine the new quantities for safety stock, maximum inventory, reordering point and reordering quantity as per company's demand. By proposed system, we saved extra cost in terms of reducing the time of receiving from vendor and in issuance to customer, ease of material handling in MRO warehouse and also reduce human efforts. The information requirements identified in this study can be utilized in calculating Economic Order Quantity. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=carrying%20cost" title="carrying cost">carrying cost</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=economic%20order%20quantity" title=" economic order quantity"> economic order quantity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fast%20moving" title=" fast moving"> fast moving</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lead%20time" title=" lead time"> lead time</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lot%20size" title=" lot size"> lot size</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MRO" title=" MRO"> MRO</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=maximum%20inventory" title=" maximum inventory"> maximum inventory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ordering%20cost" title=" ordering cost"> ordering cost</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=physical%20inspection" title=" physical inspection"> physical inspection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reorder%20point" title=" reorder point"> reorder point</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/46048/analysis-of-inventory-control-lot-size-and-reorder-point-for-engro-polymers-and-chemicals" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/46048.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">239</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7006</span> The Relationship between Inventory Management and Profitability: A Comparative Research on Turkish Firms Operated in Weaving Industry, Eatables Industry, Wholesale and Retail Industry</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gamze%20Sekeroglu">Gamze Sekeroglu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mikail%20Altan"> Mikail Altan</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Working capital is identified as firm’s all current assets.
