Profile_mck-c-profile__content-body__r8B5S"><p>Gregor leads McKinsey’s organization-design work in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He draws on more than 12 years of consulting experience focused on helping clients achieve optimal organization design while also pursing successful transformational change. While Gregor has particularly deep experience working with financial-services companies, he has applied his expertise across industries.</p> <p>When approaching organization-design challenges, Gregor brings a passion for helping companies become more agile. When organizations can make the right decisions more quickly, the result is improved overall performance. As part of that process, he employs bespoke analytical methods; for example, Gregor codeveloped McKinsey’s <a href="/solutions/orgsolutions/overview/orglab">OrgLab</a>, a web-based application for diagnosing and designing organizational structures.</p> <p>Examples of his recent client work include the following:</p> <ul> <li>conducting a spans and layers optimization and comprehensive organization redesign for a global bank, looking across more than 100,000 employees</li> <li>leading a comprehensive organizational redesign for a global pharmaceutical company, focused on simplification and innovation</li> <li>directing an enterprise-wide agile transformation of a global payments company that included developing a new operating model and leading change management</li> <li>helping a global gaming company develop a new operating model focused around cross-functional teams and global talent pools</li> <li>leading a diagnostic for a national central bank that resulted in a portfolio of targeted interventions to drive culture change</li> <li>developing a transformational change program with focus on performance and health for a national life-insurance company</li> </ul> <p>Keenly interested in helping executives lead and sustain change, Gregor is core faculty at McKinsey’s <a href="/sitecore/service/notfound.aspx?item=web%3a%7b13a47e3f-39eb-4f49-acbd-412de1ef7e07%7d%40en">Organization Agility Forum</a>, a training and immersion program for leaders involved in agile organization-design efforts.</p> <p>Before joining McKinsey, originally in the New York office, Gregor worked at a professional-services firm in London as a strategy consultant advising clients in financial services, the public sector, and the telecommunications industry.
