d&rsquo;op&eacute;rationnalisation du discours f&eacute;ministe dans la litt&eacute;rature afin d&rsquo;analyser la parole des femmes dans la fiction contemporaine. Il s&rsquo;agit de chercher &agrave; (faire) comprendre ce que cette parole &eacute;voque et r&eacute;v&egrave;le de la condition des femmes et du monde. En quoi le f&eacute;minisme a-t-il favoris&eacute; ou permis l&rsquo;&eacute;closion entre autres de nouvelles pratiques et th&eacute;ories litt&eacute;raires ? Ou encore en quoi la litt&eacute;rature a contribu&eacute; dans l&rsquo;avancement du f&eacute;minisme en tant qu&rsquo;id&eacute;al politique ?&nbsp;</p> </div> </div> <div id="annonce"> <p class="intitule">Annonce</p> <div id="annonce-1242102-fr" class="tabContent" lang="fr" xml:lang="fr"> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">L&rsquo;<a href="https://legsedition.net/alel/">Association Legs et Litt&eacute;rature</a>&nbsp;(ALEL) lance un appel &agrave; contributions pour le 23<sup>e</sup>&nbsp;num&eacute;ro de la revue&nbsp;<a href="http://alel.legsedition.net/"><em>Legs et Litt&eacute;rature</em></a> consacr&eacute;&nbsp;qui para&icirc;tra&nbsp; &agrave; l&rsquo;hiver 2025 chez LEGS &Eacute;DITION.&nbsp;</p> <h1>Argumentaire</h1> <p style="text-align: left;">S&rsquo;il convient de faire l&rsquo;inventaire des diff&eacute;rents mouvements civils et politiques ayant marqu&eacute; le 20<sup>e</sup>&nbsp;si&egrave;cle, l&rsquo;on ne saurait, en aucun cas, passer sous silence le f&eacute;minisme. M&ecirc;me si l&rsquo;historiographie<a name="_ftnref1"></a><sup>[1]</sup>&nbsp;situe officiellement la naissance du mouvement vers les d&eacute;buts du 19<sup>e</sup>&nbsp;si&egrave;cle, nul n&rsquo;emp&ecirc;che de remonter le cours de l&rsquo;histoire de l&rsquo;Antiquit&eacute; grecque pour voir &agrave; travers le personnage Agnodice<a name="_ftnref2"></a><sup>[2]</sup>, dont l&rsquo;histoire est une parfaite illustration du pouvoir de l&rsquo;engagement des femmes dans la lutte contre la domination masculine, une figure pionni&egrave;re. Concernant Haiti, les premi&egrave;res traces de comportement revendicatif s&rsquo;assimilant au f&eacute;minisme apparaissent d&egrave;s 1791 au moment des bouleversements annon&ccedil;ant la r&eacute;volution ha&iuml;tienne<a name="_ftnref3"></a><sup>[3]</sup>. On aurait pu passer en revue les diff&eacute;rentes actions, engagements et combats men&eacute;s par des femmes d&rsquo;ici et d&rsquo;ailleurs, &agrave; des &eacute;poques diff&eacute;rentes, pour se convaincre que la lutte contre l&rsquo;invisibilisation et l&rsquo;oppression f&eacute;minine ne date pas d&rsquo;hier.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">D&eacute;fini par Marie Th&eacute;r&egrave;se Poitevin<a name="_ftnref4"></a><sup>[4]</sup>&nbsp;comme &laquo;&nbsp;l&rsquo;effort coalis&eacute; de la femme pour l&rsquo;am&eacute;lioration du sort de la femme&nbsp;&raquo;, le f&eacute;minisme a &eacute;t&eacute;, d&egrave;s les premiers moments un mouvement contestataire ou d&rsquo;&eacute;mancipation politique. En Ha&iuml;ti, il a &eacute;t&eacute; &laquo;&nbsp;avant tout un mouvement d&rsquo;am&eacute;lioration sociale&nbsp;<a name="_ftnref5"></a>&raquo;<sup>[5]&nbsp;</sup>pour ensuite prendre la courbe politique avec la nomination et l&rsquo;&eacute;lection des femmes en 1957<a name="_ftnref6"></a><sup>[6]</sup>&nbsp;et apr&egrave;s la chute de la dictature des Duvalier o&ugrave; &laquo;&nbsp;l&rsquo;ann&eacute;e 1986 avait ouvert de nouvelles perspectives, en particulier celles de la reconstruction du lien politique. D&egrave;s ce moment, le mouvement f&eacute;ministe ha&iuml;tien est revenu sur le devant de la sc&egrave;ne&nbsp;<a name="_ftnref7"></a>&raquo;<sup>[7]</sup>, apr&egrave;s le long silence impos&eacute; par la dictature.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">Dans un num&eacute;ro pr&eacute;c&eacute;dent de la revue&nbsp;<em>Legs&nbsp;et Litt&eacute;rature</em><a name="_ftnref8"></a><sup>[8]</sup><em>,&nbsp;</em>il nous avait apparu important de faire entendre la parole des femmes en mettant en relief la mani&egrave;re dont elles ont repr&eacute;sent&eacute; la dictature dans leurs &oelig;uvres. La dictature a &eacute;t&eacute; plut&ocirc;t abord&eacute;e sous un angle politique moins dans sa manifestation sous sa forme genr&eacute;e. Il a &eacute;t&eacute; surtout question d&rsquo;analyser, d&rsquo;une part, la mani&egrave;re dont la dictature op&egrave;re dans la litt&eacute;rature au regard des repr&eacute;sentations faites aux femmes, et, d&rsquo;autre part, d&rsquo;&eacute;tudier et d&rsquo;&eacute;valuer sa manifestation sur leur corps et leur esprit. Dans le r&eacute;cent num&eacute;ro de&nbsp;<em>Legs et Litt&eacute;rature</em><a name="_ftnref9"></a><sup>[9]</sup>&nbsp;qui a donn&eacute; lieu &agrave; &laquo;&nbsp;l&rsquo;investigation sur la corr&eacute;lation entre le charnel et le pouvoir politique telle qu&rsquo;elle se manifeste au sein des &oelig;uvres litt&eacute;raires contemporaines&nbsp;<a name="_ftnref10"></a>&raquo;<sup>[10]</sup>,&nbsp;une attention particuli&egrave;re a &eacute;t&eacute; port&eacute;e sur le corps f&eacute;minin comme outil d&rsquo;asservissement, d&rsquo;assujettissement et de subordination et aussi &agrave; la parole f&eacute;ministe dans la cr&eacute;ation litt&eacute;raire.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">En effet, d&rsquo;aucuns ne sauraient ignorer le r&ocirc;le fondamental qu&rsquo;a jou&eacute; la litt&eacute;rature ou de l&rsquo;&eacute;crit lors des divers mouvements de revendication devant conduire &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;mancipation de plusieurs g&eacute;n&eacute;rations de femmes. Dans le cas d&rsquo; Haiti, la production litt&eacute;raire des membres et dirigeantes de La Ligue F&eacute;minine d&rsquo;action sociale &ndash; la premi&egrave;re organisation se d&eacute;finissant en tant que structure f&eacute;ministe &ndash; t&eacute;moigne du poids de la litt&eacute;rature dans la d&eacute;finition et la compr&eacute;hension des situations et de la condition des femmes haitiennes. Les dispositifs d&rsquo;expression &eacute;crits utilis&eacute;s (roman, po&eacute;sie, th&eacute;&acirc;tre, conte, nouvelle etc&hellip;) t&eacute;moignent &agrave; la fois de la fonction et du pouvoir de l&rsquo;&eacute;crit, notamment,&nbsp;dans les p&eacute;riodes de contestation et de protestation contre l&rsquo;arbitraire et l&rsquo;anormal.&nbsp;Aussi parmi ces dispositifs peut-on compter &laquo;&nbsp;les publications de p&eacute;riodiques (brochures, bulletins, journaux, revues) qui jouent un r&ocirc;le central dans les moments de re-mobilisation f&eacute;ministe, dans la structuration id&eacute;ologique des courants, dans la construction de r&eacute;seaux et la circulation des&nbsp;id&eacute;es&nbsp;<a name="_ftnref11"></a>&raquo;[<sup>11]</sup>. Cela dit, la litt&eacute;rature, par le biais de ces canaux, a constitu&eacute; un levier important dans la vulgarisation de la parole f&eacute;ministe, en plus d&rsquo;archiver et de garder vivante la m&eacute;moire des femmes tout en participant &agrave; l&rsquo;histoire imm&eacute;diate du mouvement, en Ha&iuml;ti comme ailleurs<a name="_ftnref12"></a>[<sup>12]</sup>.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">&Agrave; Londres, Virginia Woolf publie en 1929&nbsp;<em>Une chambre &agrave; soi,&nbsp;</em>un livre manifeste qui se propose d&rsquo;analyser la place des &eacute;crivaines dans la litt&eacute;rature et les obstacles qui lui ferment l&rsquo;acc&egrave;s au monde litt&eacute;raire. L&rsquo;espace et l&rsquo;autonomie financi&egrave;re sont entre autres deux &eacute;l&eacute;ments indispensables pour subvertir l&rsquo;ordre social in&eacute;galitaire et donner libre cours &agrave; sa passion. Pour y avoir r&eacute;fl&eacute;chi et analys&eacute; le rapport entre l&rsquo;&eacute;criture et le genre, cet essai de Woolf se veut une &oelig;uvre avant-gardiste qui d&eacute;crypte les situations d&rsquo;oppressions auxquelles sont sujettes les femmes. En Ha&iuml;ti, en octobre 1935, Jeanne Perez, Cl&eacute;ante Desgraves Valcin et Am&eacute;lie Laroche du mouvement de la&nbsp;<em>Ligue d&rsquo;Action f&eacute;minine&nbsp;</em>fondent le journal&nbsp;<em>La voix des femmes&nbsp;</em>pour diffuser les id&eacute;es de la&nbsp;<em>Ligue,&nbsp;</em>question de donner une espace d&rsquo;expression propre aux femmes. En 1938, Jeanne Perez cr&eacute;e la revue litt&eacute;raire mensuelle&nbsp;<em>La Semeuse&nbsp;</em>aux fins de mettre &agrave; la disposition des femmes un espace propre &agrave; la diffusion de leurs &eacute;crits. La fin de la Seconde Guerre est marqu&eacute;e en France par la publication en 1949 de&nbsp;<em>Le deuxi&egrave;me sexe&nbsp;</em>de Simone Beauvoir qui revendique l&rsquo;ind&eacute;pendance sexuelle, l&rsquo;avortement tout en fustigeant la domination masculine. V&eacute;ritable somme sur la condition en occident, ce livre est une d&eacute;construction des mythes et st&eacute;r&eacute;otypes construits autour des femmes. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, nombre de commentateur.e.s et chercheur.e.s admettent que &laquo;&nbsp;m&ecirc;me si ce livre a quitt&eacute; le devant de la sc&egrave;ne pour prendre des allures de bible plus ou moins contest&eacute;e, m&ecirc;me si, sur beaucoup d&rsquo;aspects particuliers, les points de vue ont chang&eacute;, si le d&eacute;veloppement des &eacute;tudes de genre et des recherches f&eacute;ministes ont enrichi nombre d&rsquo;hypoth&egrave;ses et de probl&eacute;matiques, les ressources de la pens&eacute;e de Beauvoir pour les questionnements empiriques et th&eacute;oriques contemporains semblent multiples&nbsp;<a name="_ftnref13"></a>&raquo;<sup>[13]</sup>.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">En Espagne, Lidia Falc&oacute;n et Carmen Alcalde fondent en 1976,&nbsp;<em>Vindicaci&oacute;n</em>, &laquo;&nbsp;la revue phare du f&eacute;minisme espagnol de deuxi&egrave;me vague&nbsp;<a name="_ftnref14"></a>&raquo;<sup>[14]</sup>, afin, d&rsquo;une part, d&rsquo;&eacute;crire l&rsquo;histoire des luttes men&eacute;es par leurs pr&eacute;d&eacute;cesseures dont le r&eacute;gime franquiste avait oblit&eacute;r&eacute; et, d&rsquo;autre part, servir de lieu de transmission de cet h&eacute;ritage &agrave; leurs contemporaines tout en donnant la voix &agrave; leur parole. Garrido Y Saez pr&eacute;cise que &laquo;&nbsp;le magazine, dont le titre rend hommage &agrave; l&rsquo;&oelig;uvre pionni&egrave;re de la f&eacute;ministe Mary Wollstonecraft, se veut pluriel et cosmopolite puisqu&rsquo;une place de choix est r&eacute;serv&eacute;e aux divers courants f&eacute;ministes occidentaux&nbsp;<a name="_ftnref15"></a>&raquo;<sup>[15]</sup>. Pour pouvoir mettre en relief cette pluralit&eacute; et ce cosmopolitisme, son engagement s&rsquo;est donc d&eacute;clin&eacute; &laquo;&nbsp;sur de nombreux th&egrave;mes comme l&rsquo;acc&egrave;s au divorce, l&rsquo;&eacute;galit&eacute; au travail ou les violences faites aux femmes&nbsp;<a name="_ftnref16"></a>&raquo;<sup>[16]</sup>.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">Sur le continent africain les &eacute;crits et &oelig;uvres des romancie.&egrave;re.s telles, Mariama Ba (1929-1981), Ken Bugul (1947), Ousmane Semb&egrave;ne (1923-2007) Buchi Emecheta (1944-2017) et Abdoulaye Sadji (1910-1961) amenaient des r&eacute;flexions situ&eacute;es sur la polygamie, la dot, l&rsquo;excision et le colonialisme. Dans ce mouvement, l&rsquo;essai d&rsquo;Awa Thiam,&nbsp;<em>La paroles aux n&eacute;gresses</em><a name="_ftnref17"></a><sup>[17]</sup>, a constitu&eacute; un tournant dans la divulgation des paroles des femmes de ce continent &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;chelle internationale.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">Dans d&rsquo;autres pays, comme aux &Eacute;tats-Unis et en France, l&rsquo;on assiste &eacute;galement &agrave; ce compagnonnage o&ugrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;criture litt&eacute;raire se met au service du mouvement, notamment dans les ann&eacute;es 1970 avec des figures comme Kate Millet, Adrienne Rich et Monique Wittig qui ont su insuffler un nouvel &eacute;lan &agrave; la litt&eacute;rature f&eacute;ministe. En m&ecirc;me temps les &eacute;crits des femmes noires aux &Eacute;tats-Unis posaient de mani&egrave;re sp&eacute;cifique la condition de ces femmes dans cette soci&eacute;t&eacute;. En t&eacute;moignent, entre autres&nbsp;<em>Sula&nbsp;</em>de Toni Morisson et&nbsp;<em>Les femmes de Brewster Place</em>&nbsp;de Gloria Naylor. Sur le plan th&eacute;orique les travaux d&rsquo;Angela Davis,&nbsp;Patricia Hill Collins&nbsp;et de bell hookks syst&eacute;matiseront les r&eacute;flexions sur les connaissances produites par les femmes noires aux &Eacute;tats-Unis.&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: left;">En Haiti, au tournant des ann&eacute;es 1970 les romans de Nadine Magloire, dont&nbsp;<em>Le Sexe Mythique</em>&nbsp;(2014),&nbsp;<em>Autopsie in Vivo</em>&nbsp;(2009) et&nbsp;<em>Autopsie in Vivo. La suite</em>&nbsp;(2010) introduisent la question de condition des femmes sous l&rsquo;angle du plaisir f&eacute;minin. Plus tard, les &eacute;crits de Paulette Poujol Oriol (1926-2011)<a name="_ftnref18"></a><sup>[18]</sup>&nbsp;et de Kettly Mars<a name="_ftnref19"></a><sup>[19]</sup>&nbsp;(1958) sur la prostitution am&egrave;neront d&rsquo;autres r&eacute;flexions sur le corps des femmes et leurs sexualit&eacute;s. Dans ce m&ecirc;me mouvement, au tournant des ann&eacute;es 1990, les femmes haitiennes romanci&egrave;res reprendront les r&eacute;flexions sur la question de la place des femmes dans l&rsquo;histoire nationale, et aussi dans l&rsquo;histoire de la dictature (Agnant<a name="_ftnref20"></a><sup>[20]</sup>, Trouillot<a name="_ftnref21"></a><sup>[21]</sup>, Lahens<a name="_ftnref22"></a><sup>[22]</sup>). Dans ce processus le livre de Myriam Chancy&nbsp;<em>Framing the silence</em>,&nbsp;<em>Revolutionary Novels by Haitian Women</em><a name="_ftnref23"></a><em><sup>[23]</sup></em>&nbsp;apporte un &eacute;clairage sur l&rsquo;importance du travail accompli par les intellectuelles militantes de la Ligue F&eacute;minine d&rsquo;action Sociale. Dans la Cara&iuml;be francophone les &eacute;crits entre autres de de Maryse Cond&eacute; (1934-2024)<a name="_ftnref24"></a><sup>[24]</sup>&nbsp;et de Gis&egrave;le Pineau<a name="_ftnref25"></a><sup>[25]</sup>, proposeront des pistes pour penser la place des femmes dans les soci&eacute;t&eacute;s post esclavagiste.</p> <p style="text-align: left;">Cependant, en d&eacute;pit de toutes ces avanc&eacute;es, il est tout autant flagrant de constater comment les m&eacute;canismes institutionnels ont pu, &agrave; travers la litt&eacute;rature, assurer la reproduction des valeurs li&eacute;es aux normes du patriarcat. Aussi r&eacute;&eacute;crire l&rsquo;histoire de la litt&eacute;rature au travers du prisme d&rsquo;un engagement f&eacute;ministe constituerait-il un facteur majeur de reconnaissance de la place des femmes dans l&rsquo;histoire des id&eacute;es et du monde litt&eacute;raire. Lire et &eacute;crire les litt&eacute;ratures autrement, avec un regard d&eacute;centr&eacute; et d&eacute;senclav&eacute; du paradigme masculin devient une urgence pour repenser le rapport &agrave; la cr&eacute;ation et s&rsquo;affranchir de toutes tendances jug&eacute;es dominantes dans l&rsquo;institution litt&eacute;raire.
