The most important advantage of these method is the nearly non-destructive withdrawal of test material and small size of test specimen what is interesting in cases of remaining lifetime assessment when a sufficient volume of the representative material cannot be withdrawn of the component in question. In opposite, the most important disadvantage of such methods stems from the necessity to correlate test results with the results of standardised test procedures and to build up a database of material data in service. The correlations among the miniature test specimen data and the results of standardised tests are necessary. The paper describes the results of fatigue tests performed on miniature tests specimens in comparison with traditional fatigue tests for several steels applied in power producing industry. Special miniature test specimens fixtures were designed and manufactured for the purposes of fatigue testing at the Zwick/Roell 10HPF5100 testing machine. The miniature test specimens were produced of the traditional test specimens. Seven different steels were fatigue loaded (R = 0.1) at room temperature. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mechanical%20properties" title="mechanical properties">mechanical properties</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=miniature%20test%20specimens" title=" miniature test specimens"> miniature test specimens</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=correlations" title=" correlations"> correlations</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=small%20punch%20test" title=" small punch test"> small punch test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=micro-tensile%20test" title=" micro-tensile test"> micro-tensile test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mini-charpy%20impact%20test" title=" mini-charpy impact test"> mini-charpy impact test</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/29049/correlation-of-material-mechanical-characteristics-obtained-by-means-of-standardized-and-miniature-test-specimens" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/29049.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">538</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13472</span> Testing of Small Local Zones by Means of Small Punch Test at Room and Creep Temperatures</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Vaclav%20Mentl">Vaclav Mentl</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Josef%20Volak"> Josef Volak</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In many industrial applications, materials are subjected to degradation of mechanical properties as a result of real service conditions, temperature, cyclic loading, humidity or other corrosive media, irradiation, their combination etc. The assessment of the remaining lifetime of components and structures is commonly based on correlated procedures including numerous destructive, non-destructive and mathematical techniques that should guarantee reasonably precise assessment of the current damage extent of materials in question and the remaining lifetime evaluation of the component under consideration. The answers to demands of customers to extend the lifetime of existing components beyond their original design life must be based on detailed assessment of the current degradation extent, what can be rarely realised by means of traditional mechanical (standardised) tests that need relatively large volumes of representative material for the test specimen manufacturing. This fact accelerated the research of miniaturised test specimen that can be sampled non-invasively from the component. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=small%20punch%20test" title="small punch test">small punch test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=correlation" title=" correlation"> correlation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=creep" title=" creep"> creep</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mechanical%20properties" title=" mechanical properties"> mechanical properties</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/51445/testing-of-small-local-zones-by-means-of-small-punch-test-at-room-and-creep-temperatures" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/51445.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">275</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13471</span> Mechanical and Material Characterization on the High Nitrogen Supersaturated Tool Steels for Die-Technology</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tatsuhiko%20Aizawa">Tatsuhiko Aizawa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hiroshi%20Morita"> Hiroshi Morita</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The tool steels such as SKD11 and SKH51 have been utilized as punch and die substrates for cold stamping, forging, and fine blanking processes. The heat-treated SKD11 punches with the hardness of 700 HV wrought well in the stamping of SPCC, normal steel plates, and non-ferrous alloy such as a brass sheet. However, they suffered from severe damage in the fine blanking process of smaller holes than 1.5 mm in diameter. Under the high aspect ratio of punch length to diameter, an elastoplastic bucking of slender punches occurred on the production line. The heat-treated punches had a risk of chipping at their edges. To be free from those damages, the blanking punch must have sufficient rigidity and strength at the same time. In the present paper, the small-hole blanking punch with a dual toughness structure was proposed to provide a solution to this engineering issue in production. The low-temperature plasma nitriding process was utilized to form the nitrogen supersaturated thick layer into the original SKD11 punch. Through the plasma nitriding at 673 K for 14.4 ks, the nitrogen supersaturated layer, with the thickness of 50 μm and without nitride precipitates, was formed as a high nitrogen steel (HNS) layer surrounding the original SKD11 punch. In this two-zone structured SKD11 punch, the surface hardness increased from 700 HV for the heat-treated SKD11 to 1400 HV. This outer high nitrogen SKD11 (HN-SKD11) layer had a homogeneous nitrogen solute depth profile with a nitrogen solute content plateau of 4 mass% till the border between the outer HN-SKD11 layer and the original SKD11 matrix. When stamping the brass sheet with the thickness of 1 mm by using this dually toughened SKD11 punch, the punch life was extended from 500 K shots to 10000 K shots to attain a much more stable production line to yield the brass American snaps. Furthermore, with the aid of the masking technique, the punch side surface layer with the thickness of 50 μm was modified by this high nitrogen super-saturation process to have a stripe structure where the un-nitrided SKD11 and the HN-SKD11 layers were alternatively aligned from the punch head to the punch bottom. This flexible structuring promoted the mechanical integrity of total rigidity and toughness as a punch with an extremely small diameter. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=high%20nitrogen%20supersaturation" title="high nitrogen supersaturation">high nitrogen supersaturation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=semi-dry%20cold%20stamping" title=" semi-dry cold stamping"> semi-dry cold stamping</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=solid%20solution%20hardening" title=" solid solution hardening"> solid solution hardening</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=tool%20steel%20dies" title=" tool steel dies"> tool steel dies</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=low%20temperature%20nitriding" title=" low temperature nitriding"> low temperature nitriding</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dual%20toughness%20structure" title=" dual toughness structure"> dual toughness structure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=extremely%20small%20diameter%20punch" title=" extremely small diameter punch"> extremely small diameter punch</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/155788/mechanical-and-material-characterization-on-the-high-nitrogen-supersaturated-tool-steels-for-die-technology" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/155788.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">88</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13470</span> Effect of Punch Diameter on Optimal Loading Profiles in Hydromechanical Deep Drawing Process</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mehmet%20Halkaci">Mehmet Halkaci</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ekrem%20%C3%96zt%C3%BCrk"> Ekrem Öztürk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mevl%C3%BCt%20T%C3%BCrk%C3%B6z"> Mevlüt Türköz</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=H.%20Sel%C3%A7uk%20Halkac%C4%B1"> H. Selçuk Halkacı</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Hydromechanical deep drawing (HMD) process is an advanced manufacturing process used to form deep parts with only one forming step. In this process, sheet metal blank can be drawn deeper by means of fluid pressure acting on sheet surface in the opposite direction of punch movement. High limiting drawing ratio, good surface quality, less springback characteristic and high dimensional accuracy are some of the advantages of this process. The performance of the HMD process is affected by various process parameters such as fluid pressure, blank holder force, punch-die radius, pre-bulging pressure and height, punch diameter, friction between sheet-die and sheet-punch. The fluid pressure and bank older force are the main loading parameters and affect the formability of HMD process significantly. The punch diameter also influences the limiting drawing ratio (the ratio of initial sheet diameter to punch diameter) of the sheet metal blank. In this research, optimal loading (fluid pressure and blank holder force) profiles were determined for AA 5754-O sheet material through fuzzy control algorithm developed in previous study using LS-DYNA finite element analysis (FEA) software. In the preceding study, the fuzzy control algorithm was developed utilizing geometrical criteria such as thinning and wrinkling. In order to obtain the final desired part with the developed algorithm in terms of the punch diameter requested, the effect of punch diameter, which is the one of the process parameters, on loading profiles was investigated separately using blank thickness of 1 mm. Thus, the practicality of the previously developed fuzzy control algorithm with different punch diameters was clarified. Also, thickness distributions of the sheet metal blank along a curvilinear distance were compared for the FEA in which different punch diameters were used. Consequently, it was found that the use of different punch diameters did not affect the optimal loading profiles too much. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Finite%20Element%20Analysis%20%28FEA%29" title="Finite Element Analysis (FEA)">Finite Element Analysis (FEA)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fuzzy%20control" title=" fuzzy control"> fuzzy control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hydromechanical%20deep%20drawing" title=" hydromechanical deep drawing"> hydromechanical deep drawing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=optimal%20loading%20profiles" title=" optimal loading profiles"> optimal loading profiles</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=punch%20diameter" title=" punch diameter"> punch diameter</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/37109/effect-of-punch-diameter-on-optimal-loading-profiles-in-hydromechanical-deep-drawing-process" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/37109.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">431</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13469</span> The Effects of Impact Forces and Kinematics of Two Different Stance Position at Straight Punch Techniques in Boxing</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bergun%20Meric%20Bingul">Bergun Meric Bingul</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Cigdem%20Bulgan"> Cigdem Bulgan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ozlem%20Tore"> Ozlem Tore</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mensure%20Aydin"> Mensure Aydin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Erdal%20Bal"> Erdal Bal</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The aim of the study was to compare the effects of impact forces and some kinematic parameters with two different straight punch stance positions in boxing. 9 elite boxing athletes from the Turkish National Team (mean age± SD 19.33±2.11 years, mean height 174.22±3.79 cm, mean weight 66.0±6.62 kg) participated in this study as voluntarily. Boxing athletes performed one trial in straight punch technique for each two different stance positions (orthodox and southpaw stances) at sandbag. The trials were recorded at a frequency of 120Hz using eight synchronized high-speed cameras (Oqus 7+), which were placed, approximately at right- angles to one another. The three-dimensional motion analysis was performed with a Motion Capture System (Qualisys, Sweden). Data was transferred to Windows-based data acquisition software, which was QTM (Qualisys Track Manager). 11 segment models were used for determination of the kinematic variables (Calf, leg, punch, upperarm, lowerarm, trunk). Also, the sandbag was markered for calculation of the impact forces. Wand calibration method (with T stick) was used for field calibration. The mean velocity and acceleration of the punch; mean acceleration of the sandbag and angles of the trunk, shoulder, hip and knee were calculated. Stance differences’ data were compared with Wilcoxon test for using SPSS 20.0 program. According to the results, there were statistically significant differences found in trunk angle on the sagittal plane (yz) (p<0.05). There was a significant difference also found in sandbag acceleration and impact forces between stance positions (p < 0.05). Boxing athletes achieved more impact forces and accelerations in orthodox stance position. It is recommended that to use an orthodox stance instead of southpaw stance in straight punch technique especially for creating more impact forces. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=boxing" title="boxing">boxing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=impact%20force" title=" impact force"> impact force</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=kinematics" title=" kinematics"> kinematics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=straight%20punch" title=" straight punch"> straight punch</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=orthodox" title=" orthodox"> orthodox</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=southpaw" title=" southpaw"> southpaw</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/56380/the-effects-of-impact-forces-and-kinematics-of-two-different-stance-position-at-straight-punch-techniques-in-boxing" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/56380.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">326</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13468</span> Evaluating Mechanical Properties of CoNiCrAlY Coating from Miniature Specimen Testing at Elevated Temperature</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=W.%20Wen">W. Coatings are in general very thin structures, and therefore it is impossible to characterize the mechanical responses of the materials via conventional mechanical testing methods. Due to this reason, miniature specimen testing methods, such as the small punch test technique, have been developed. This paper presents some of the recent research in evaluating the mechanical properties of the CoNiCrAlY coatings at room and high temperatures, through the use of small punch testing and the developed miniature specimen tensile testing, applicable to a range of temperature, to investigate the elastic-plastic and creep behavior as well as ductile-brittle transition temperature (DBTT) behavior. An inverse procedure was developed to derive the mechanical properties from such tests for the coating materials. A two-layer specimen test method is also described. The key findings include: 1) the temperature-dependent coating properties can be accurately determined by the miniature tensile testing within a wide range of temperature; 2) consistent DBTTs can be identified by both the SPT and miniature tensile tests (~ 650 °C); and 3) the FE SPT modelling has shown good capability of simulating the early local cracking. In general, the temperature-dependent material behaviors of the CoNiCrAlY coating has been effectively characterized using miniature specimen testing and inverse method. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=NiCoCrAlY%20coatings" title="NiCoCrAlY coatings">NiCoCrAlY coatings</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mechanical%20properties" title=" mechanical properties"> mechanical properties</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DBTT" title=" DBTT"> DBTT</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=miniature%20specimen%20testing" title=" miniature specimen testing"> miniature specimen testing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/104223/evaluating-mechanical-properties-of-conicraly-coating-from-miniature-specimen-testing-at-elevated-temperature" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/104223.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">169</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13467</span> Effect of Punch and Die Profile Radii on the Maximum Drawing Force and the Total Consumed Work in Deep Drawing of a Flat Ended Cylindrical Brass</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=A.%20I.%20O.%20Zaid">A. It is widely used for manufacturing a large number of the body and spare parts. In its simplest form it may be defined as a secondary forming process by which a sheet metal is formed into a cylinder or alike by subjecting the sheet to compressive force through a punch with a flat end of the same geometry as the required shape of the cylinder end while it is held by a blank holder which hinders its movement but does not stop it. The punch and die profile radii play In this paper, the effects of punch and die profile radii on the autographic record, the minimum thickness strain location where the cracks normally start and cause the fracture, the maximum deep drawing force and the total consumed work in the drawing flat ended cylindrical brass cups are investigated. Five punches and five dies each having different profile radii were manufactured for this investigation. Furthermore, their effect on the quality of the drawn cups is also presented and discussed. It was found that the die profile radius has more effect on the maximum drawing force and the total consumed work than the punch profile radius. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=punch%20and%20die%20profile%20radii" title="punch and die profile radii">punch and die profile radii</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=deep%20drawing%20process" title=" deep drawing process"> deep drawing process</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=maximum%20drawing%20force" title=" maximum drawing force"> maximum drawing force</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=total%20consumed%20work" title=" total consumed work"> total consumed work</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=quality%20of%20produced%20parts" title=" quality of produced parts"> quality of produced parts</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flat%20ended%20cylindrical%20brass%20cups" title=" flat ended cylindrical brass cups"> flat ended cylindrical brass cups</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/65262/effect-of-punch-and-die-profile-radii-on-the-maximum-drawing-force-and-the-total-consumed-work-in-deep-drawing-of-a-flat-ended-cylindrical-brass" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/65262.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">339</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13466</span> A Semi-Analytical Method for Analysis of the Axially Symmetric Problem on Indentation of a Hot Circular Punch into an Arbitrarily Nonhomogeneous Halfspace </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=S.%20Aizikovich">S. The key point of this method lies in evaluation of the ker¬nels in the obtained integral equations by making use of a numerical technique. Once the structure of the kernel is defined, it then is approximated by an analytical expression of special kind so that the solution of the integral equation can be achieved analytically. This fact allows for construction of the solution in an analytical form, which is convenient for analysis of the mechanical effects concerned with arbitrarily presumed non-homogeneity of the material. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=contact%20problem" title="contact problem">contact problem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=circular%20punch" title=" circular punch"> circular punch</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=arbitrarily-nonhomogeneous%20halfspace" title=" arbitrarily-nonhomogeneous halfspace"> arbitrarily-nonhomogeneous halfspace</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/17693/a-semi-analytical-method-for-analysis-of-the-axially-symmetric-problem-on-indentation-of-a-hot-circular-punch-into-an-arbitrarily-nonhomogeneous-halfspace" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/17693.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">518</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13465</span> Behavior of Fibre Reinforced Polymer Composite with Nano-Ceramic Particle under Ballistic Impact and Quasi-Static Punch-Shear Loading </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=K.%20Rajalakshmi">K. The shock sensitivity of energetic materials is usually evaluated by the method of large-scale gap test (LSGT) that has a higher reliability than other methods. But LSGT has the disadvantage that it takes a high cost and time by using a large amount of explosive. In this experiment, nano-scaled RDX samples were prepared by spray crystallization in two different drying methods. In addition, 30μm RDX sample produced by precipitation crystallization and 5μm RDX sample produced by fluid energy mill process were tested to compare shock sensitivity. The study of shock sensitivity measured by small-scale gap test shows that small sized RDX particles have greater insensitivity. As a result, we infer SSGT method has higher reliability compared to the literature as measurement of shock sensitivity of energetic materials. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nano-scaled%20RDX" title="nano-scaled RDX">nano-scaled RDX</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SSGT%28small%20scale%20gap%20test%29" title=" SSGT(small scale gap test)"> SSGT(small scale gap test)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=shock%20sensitivity" title=" shock sensitivity"> shock sensitivity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=RDX" title=" RDX"> RDX</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/73492/evaluation-of-shock-sensitivity-of-nano-scaled-135-trinitro-135-triazacyclohexane-using-small-scale-gap-test" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/73492.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">258</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13460</span> Study the Effect of Tolerances for Press Tool Assembly: Computer Aided Tolerance Analysis</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Subodh%20Kumar">Subodh Kumar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ramkisan%20Pawar"> Ramkisan Pawar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gopal%20D.%20%20Belurkar"> Gopal D. In blanking or piercing operation, punch and die should be concentric for proper cutting. In this study, tolerance analysis method is used to analyze the variation in the press tool assembly. Variation results into the eccentricity in between die and punch due to cumulative tolerance of parts used in assembly. 1D variation analysis were performed by CREO parametric computer aided design (CAD) Software Powered by CETOL 6σ computer aided tolerance analysis software. Use of CAD analysis software given the opportunity to find out the cause of variation in tool assembly. Accordingly, the new specification of tolerance and process setting for die set manufacturing has determined. Tolerance allocation and tolerance analysis method were performed iteratively to conclude that position tolerance as well as size tolerance of hole in top plate for bush and size tolerance of guide pillar were more responsible for eccentricity in punch and die. This work proposes optimum tolerance for press tool assembly parts to achieve 100 % yield for specified .015mm minimum tolerance zone. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=blanking" title="blanking">blanking</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=GD%26T%20%28Geometric%20Dimension%20and%20Tolerancing%29" title=" GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing)"> GD&T (Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DPMU%20%28defects%20per%20million%20unit%29" title=" DPMU (defects per million unit)"> DPMU (defects per million unit)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=press%20tool" title=" press tool"> press tool</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stackup%20analysis" title=" stackup analysis"> stackup analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=tolerance%20allocation" title=" tolerance allocation"> tolerance allocation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=yield%20percentage" title=" yield percentage"> yield percentage</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/84639/study-the-effect-of-tolerances-for-press-tool-assembly-computer-aided-tolerance-analysis" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/84639.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">361</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13459</span> Experimental and CFD of Desgined Small Wind Turbine</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tarek%20A.%20Mekail">Tarek A. A small wind turbine blade is designed, fabricated and tested. The power performance of small horizontal axis wind turbines is simulated in details using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD). The three-dimensional CFD models are presented using ANSYS-CFX v13 software for predicting the performance of a small horizontal axis wind turbine. The simulation results are compared with the experimental data measured from a small wind turbine model, which designed according to a vehicle-based test system. The analysis of wake effect and aerodynamic of the blade can be carried out when the rotational effect was simulated. Fertigation dose, frequency and nutrient concentration must be planned with the objective of reaching an optimal crop growth by limiting the utilized resources and the associated costs. The definition of efficient fertigation strategies is a complex problem since fertigation requirements vary on the basis of different factors, and crops are sensitive to small variations on fertigation parameters. To the best of author knowledge, a small-scale test bench that is flexible for both nutrient solution preparation and precise irrigation is currently missing, limiting the investigations in standard practices for soilless culture. Starting from the analysis of the state of the art, this paper proposes a small-scale system that is potentially able to concurrently test different fertigation strategies. The system will be designed and implemented throughout a three year project started on August 2018. However, due to the importance of the topic within current challenges as food security and climate change, this work is spread considering that may inspire other universities and organizations. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=soilless%20culture" title="soilless culture">soilless culture</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fertigation" title=" fertigation"> fertigation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=test%20bench" title=" test bench"> test bench</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=small-scale" title=" small-scale"> small-scale</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automation" title=" automation"> automation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/99392/a-small-scale-flexible-test-bench-for-the-investigation-of-fertigation-strategies-in-soilless-culture" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/99392.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">177</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13457</span> Powder Assisted Sheet Forming to Fabricate Ti Capsule Magnetic Hyperthermia Implant</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Keigo%20Nishitani">Keigo Nishitani</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kohei%20Mizuta%20Mizuta"> Kohei Mizuta Mizuta</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kazuyoshi%20Kurita"> Kazuyoshi Kurita</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yukinori%20Taniguchi"> Yukinori Taniguchi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> To establish mass production process of Ti capsule which has Fe powder inside as magnetic hyperthermia implant, we assumed that Ti thin sheet can be drawn into a φ1.0 mm die hole through the medium of Fe Powder and becomes outer shell of capsule. This study discusses mechanism of powder assisted deep drawing process by both of numerical simulation and experiment. Ti thin sheet blank was placed on die, and was covered by Fe powder layer without pressurizing. Then upper punch was indented on the Fe powder layer, and the blank can be drawn into die cavity as pressurized powder particles were extruded into die cavity from behind of the drawn blank. Distinct Element Method (DEM) has been used to demonstrate the process. To identify bonding parameters on Fe particles which are cohesion, tensile bond stress and inter particle friction angle, axial and diametrical compression failure test of Fe powder compact was conducted. Several density ratios of powder compacts in range of 0.70 - 0.85 were investigated and relationship between mean stress and equivalent stress was calculated with consideration of critical state line which rules failure criterion in consolidation of Fe powder. Since variation of bonding parameters with density ratio has been experimentally identified, and good agreement has been recognized between several failure tests and its simulation, demonstration of powder assisted sheet forming by using DEM becomes applicable. Results of simulation indicated that indent/drawing length of Ti thin sheet is promoted by smaller Fe particle size, larger indent punch diameter, lower friction coefficient between die surface and Ti sheet and certain degrees of die inlet taper angle. In the deep drawing test, we have made die-set with φ2.4 mm punch and φ1.0 mm die bore diameter. Pure Ti sheet with 100 μm thickness, annealed at 650 deg. C has been tested. After indentation, indented/drawn capsule has been observed by microscope, and its length was measured to discuss the feasibility of this capsulation process. Longer drawing length exists on progressive loading pass comparing with the case of single stroke loading. It is expected that progressive loading has an advantage of which extrusion of powder particle into die cavity with Ti sheet is promoted since powder particle layer can be rebuilt while the punch is withdrawn from the layer in each loading steps. This capsulation phenomenon is qualitatively demonstrated by DEM simulation. Finally, we have fabricated Ti capsule which has Fe powder inside for magnetic hyperthermia cancer care treatment. It is concluded that suggested method is possible to use the manufacturing of Ti capsule implant for magnetic hyperthermia cancer care. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=metal%20powder%20compaction" title="metal powder compaction">metal powder compaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=metal%20forming" title=" metal forming"> metal forming</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=distinct%20element%20method" title=" distinct element method"> distinct element method</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cancer%20care" title=" cancer care"> cancer care</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=magnetic%20hyperthermia" title=" magnetic hyperthermia"> magnetic hyperthermia</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/72896/powder-assisted-sheet-forming-to-fabricate-ti-capsule-magnetic-hyperthermia-implant" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/72896.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">297</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13456</span> A Survey on the Status of Test Automation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andrei%20Contan">Andrei Contan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Richard%20Torkar"> Richard Torkar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Aim: The process of test automation and its practices in industry have to be better understood, both for the industry itself and for the research community. Defects such as stripping may possibly form during the removal of the formwork if the interfacial bonding between the concrete and the formwork is high. A new pull-off tensile test was developed in our laboratory to simulate small-scale formwork removals. The concrete-to-formwork adherence force was measured on bare and coated formworks with different surface signatures. The used concrete was a mixture largely used on building sites and contains CEM I Portland cement and calcareous filler. The concrete surface appearance and the type of failures at the concrete-formwork interface have been investigated. The originality of this near-to-surface test was to compare the laboratory-measured adherence forces to the on-site observations. Based upon the small-scale laboratory test results, functional formwork specifications with low adherence to concrete was proposed in terms of superficial signature characteristics. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=concrete-formwork%20adherence" title="concrete-formwork adherence">concrete-formwork adherence</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interfacial%20bonding" title=" interfacial bonding"> interfacial bonding</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=skin%20formwork%20functionality" title=" skin formwork functionality"> skin formwork functionality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=small-scale%20pull-off%20tensile%20test" title=" small-scale pull-off tensile test"> small-scale pull-off tensile test</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/81360/adherence-induced-formwork-removal-in-small-scale-pull-off-tensile-tests" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/81360.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">245</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13454</span> An Automatic Feature Extraction Technique for 2D Punch Shapes</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Awais%20Ahmad%20Khan">Awais Ahmad Khan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Emad%20Abouel%20Nasr"> Emad Abouel Nasr</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=H.%20M.%20A.%20Hussein"> H. The objectives of the study were to examine how credible newspaper reports of 2015 election were and to examine the significant role Nigeria Newspapers played in the 2015 general elections. Also this study examined the extent at which the print media contributed to the success of 2015 general election and to ascertain the extent at which print media reports serve as a tool for sensitizing the masses. The research questions that guided this research include: How credible was newspaper report of 2015 general election? To what extent did the print media contributed to the success of 2015 general elections? To what extent did the print media reports serve as a tool for sensitizing the masses? The research work was given solid theoretical foundation with the review of Agenda-setting theory, Media System Dependency Theory and Normative theories. This study was given solid theoretical foundation with the review of Agenda-setting theory, Media Dependency Theory and Normative theories. The theory was conducted using content analysis method of research and 30 publications of both The Guardian and Punch Newspaper between January 1st and March 30, 2015 forms the population for this research work. Selection of the dates and editions of Newspaper under study were done using the composite week sampling technique. All the days of the week were used for the newspapers because they (The Punch and The Guardian) are published all the days of the week. Coding sheet was the tool of data collection for the content analysis of this study. Findings of the study revealed that by the Punch newspaper and Guardian has played a significant role in eradicating election malpractices in Nigeria. It therefore concludes that media is metaphoric when we termed it to be a watchdog of the nation as well the mirror through which the nation see and recognize itself. The study also recommends that Nigerian media should strike balance between entertainment stories, crisis stories, economic stories, law story, education stories, terrorism stories, health stories, sport stories, metropolitan stories instead of portraying the country as being crime oriented. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=newspaper" title="newspaper">newspaper</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=coverage" title=" coverage"> coverage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=general%20elections" title=" general elections"> general elections</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=impact" title=" impact"> impact</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41917/impact-of-newspaper-coverage-of-2015-general-elections-in-nigeria" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41917.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">335</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13451</span> Automating Test Activities: Test Cases Creation, Test Execution, and Test Reporting with Multiple Test Automation Tools</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Loke%20Mun%20Sei">Loke Mun Sei</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Software testing has become a mandatory process in assuring the software product quality. The finite element method (FEM) in association with the Taguchi and the analysis of variance (ANOVA) techniques are carried out to investigate the degree of importance of process parameters in V-bending process for HSLA 420&ST12 grade material. From results, it is observed that punch angle had a major influence on the spring-back. Die opening also showed very significant role on spring back. On the other hand, it is revealed that grain direction had the least impact on spring back; however, if strip from flat sheet is taken, then it is less prone to spring back as compared to the strip from sheet metal coil. HyperForm software is used for FEM simulation and experiments are designed using Taguchi method. Percentage contribution of the parameters is obtained through the ANOVA techniques. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bending" title="bending">bending</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=spring-back" title=" spring-back"> spring-back</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=v-bending" title=" v-bending"> v-bending</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=FEM" title=" FEM"> FEM</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Taguchi" title=" Taguchi"> Taguchi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=HSLA%20420%20and%20St12%20materials" title=" HSLA 420 and St12 materials"> HSLA 420 and St12 materials</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=HyperForm" title=" HyperForm"> HyperForm</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=profile%20projector" title=" profile projector"> profile projector</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/82474/optimization-of-process-parameters-affecting-on-spring-back-in-v-bending-process-for-high-strength-low-alloy-steel-hsla-420-using-fea-hyperform-and-taguchi-technique" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/82474.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">189</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13447</span> Influence of Packing Density of Layers Placed in Specific Order in Composite Nonwoven Structure for Improved Filtration Performance</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Saiyed%20M%20Ishtiaque">Saiyed M Ishtiaque</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Priyal%20Dixit"> Priyal Dixit</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Objectives: An approach is being suggested to design the filter media to maximize the filtration efficiency with minimum possible pressure drop of composite nonwoven by incorporating the layers of different packing densities induced by fibre of different deniers and punching parameters by using the concept of sequential punching technique in specific order in layered composite nonwoven structure. X-ray computed tomography technique is used to measure the packing density along the thickness of layered nonwoven structure composed by placing the layer of differently oriented fibres influenced by fibres of different deniers and punching parameters in various combinations to minimize the pressure drop at maximum possible filtration efficiency. Methodology Used: This work involves preparation of needle punched layered structure with batts 100g/m2 basis weight having fibre denier, punch density and needle penetration depth as variables to produce 300 g/m2 basis weight nonwoven composite. X-ray computed tomography technique is used to measure the packing density along the thickness of layered nonwoven structure composed by placing the layers of differently oriented fibres influenced by considered variables in various combinations. to minimize the pressure drop at maximum possible filtration efficiencyFor developing layered nonwoven fabrics, batts made of fibre of different deniers having 100g/m2 each basis weight were placed in various combinations. For second set of experiment, the composite nonwoven fabrics were prepared by using 3 denier circular cross section polyester fibre having 64 mm length on needle punched nonwoven machine by using the sequential punching technique to prepare the composite nonwoven fabrics. In this technique, three semi punched fabrics of 100 g/m2 each having either different punch densities or needle penetration depths were prepared for first phase of fabric preparation. These fabrics were later punched altogether to obtain the overall basis weight of 300 g/m2. The total punch density of the composite nonwoven fabric was kept at 200 punches/ cm2 with a needle penetration depth of 10 mm. The layered structures so formed were subcategorised into two groups- homogeneous layered structure in which all the three batts comprising the nonwoven fabric were made from same denier of fibre, punch density and needle penetration depth and were placed in different positions in respective fabric and heterogeneous layered structure in which batts were made from fibres of different deniers, punch densities and needle penetration depths and were placed in different positions. Contributions: The results concluded that reduction in pressure drop is not derived by the overall packing density of the layered nonwoven fabric rather sequencing of layers of specific packing density in layered structure decides the pressure drop. Accordingly, creation of inverse gradient of packing density in layered structure provided maximum filtration efficiency with least pressure drop. This study paves the way for the possibility of customising the composite nonwoven fabrics by the incorporation of differently oriented fibres in constituent layers induced by considered variablres for desired filtration properties. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=filtration%20efficiency" title="filtration efficiency">filtration efficiency</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=layered%20nonwoven%20structure" title=" layered nonwoven structure"> layered nonwoven structure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=packing%20density" title=" packing density"> packing density</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pressure%20drop" title=" pressure drop"> pressure drop</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/179311/influence-of-packing-density-of-layers-placed-in-specific-order-in-composite-nonwoven-structure-for-improved-filtration-performance" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/179311.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">76</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13446</span> The Analysis of Differential Item and Test Functioning between Sexes by Studying on the Scholastic Aptitude Test 2013</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Panwasn%20Mahalawalert">Panwasn Mahalawalert</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purposes of this research were analyzed differential item functioning and differential test functioning of SWUSAT aptitude test classification by sex variable. There are verbal ability test, number ability test, reasoning ability test and spatial ability test. The data analysis was analyzed in 2 steps. The first step was analyzing descriptive statistics. In the second step were analyzed differential item functioning (DIF) and differential test functioning (DTF) by using the DIFAS program. The research results were as follows: The results of DIF and DTF analysis for all 10 tests in year 2013. Gender was the characteristic that found DIF all 10 tests. The percentage of item number that found DIF is between 6.67% - 60%. There are 5 tests that most of items favors female group and 2 tests that most of items favors male group. There are 3 tests that the number of items favors female group equal favors male group. For Differential test functioning (DTF), there are 8 tests that have small level. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aptitude%20test" title="aptitude test">aptitude test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=differential%20item%20functioning" title=" differential item functioning"> differential item functioning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=differential%20test%20functioning" title=" differential test functioning"> differential test functioning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=educational%20measurement" title=" educational measurement"> educational measurement</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43030/the-analysis-of-differential-item-and-test-functioning-between-sexes-by-studying-on-the-scholastic-aptitude-test-2013" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43030.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">411</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13445</span> An Investigation of Differential Item and Test Functioning of Scholastic Aptitude Test 2011 (SWUSAT 2011)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ruangdech%20Sirikit">Ruangdech Sirikit</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purposes of this study were analyzed differential item functioning and differential test functioning of SWUSAT aptitude test classification by sex variable.
