UB representatives also urge Romanians to be as well informed as possible and to go to the polls to decide the future of Romania for themselves, based on evidence and certainties regarding the candidates and their electoral offers, not on \u0026#34;populist manipulations and promises\u0026#34;.\r\nAccording to the educational institution: \u0026#34;The University of Bucharest firmly reiterates its commitment to Romania\u0026#39;s Euro-Atlantic orientation and the democratic values that are intrinsic to the Romanian state and the Romanian nation. We believe that sanctioning inefficiency in governance and inequities generated at the social level must be done within the democratic system and by preserving Romania\u0026#39;s Euro-Atlantic orientation.\u0026#34; In the opinion of the representatives of the higher education institution, Romania\u0026#39;s Euro-Atlantic orientation, as enshrined in the Constitution, as well as the fundamental values that they express, represent supreme values, in the spirit of the democratic traditions of the Romanian people. According to the UB representatives, the tragedies and suffering caused in history by the undemocratic, authoritarian, dictatorial regimes of the 20th century, as well as the victims of legionnaires\u0026#39; and communist regimes, should not be forgotten. At the same time, the University of Bucharest firmly rejects \u0026#34;any form of dictatorship\u0026#34; and remains fully committed to the development of a Romanian society based on the Euro-Atlantic values of freedom, pluralism and the rule of law through its assumed research and educational missions: \u0026#34;We ask political parties to review their principles of selection and promotion of leaders and candidates in elections and of decision-makers in the administration system. class="post-content clearfix"><p class="par" style="overflow-wrap:break-word;">The earthquake in the political sphere has "repercussions" in the educational sphere as well. The University of Bucharest (UB) has reaffirmed its commitment to defending democracy, freedom and Romania's Euro-Atlantic orientation and has asked political parties to review their principles for selecting and promoting leaders and candidates in elections and decision-makers in the administrative system. UB representatives also urge Romanians to be as well informed as possible and to go to the polls to decide the future of Romania for themselves, based on evidence and certainties regarding the candidates and their electoral offers, not on "populist manipulations and promises".</p><p class="par" style="overflow-wrap:break-word;">According to the educational institution: "The University of Bucharest firmly reiterates its commitment to Romania's Euro-Atlantic orientation and the democratic values that are intrinsic to the Romanian state and the Romanian nation. We believe that sanctioning inefficiency in governance and inequities generated at the social level must be done within the democratic system and by preserving Romania's Euro-Atlantic orientation." In the opinion of the representatives of the higher education institution, Romania's Euro-Atlantic orientation, as enshrined in the Constitution, as well as the fundamental values that they express, represent supreme values, in the spirit of the democratic traditions of the Romanian people. According to the UB representatives, the tragedies and suffering caused in history by the undemocratic, authoritarian, dictatorial regimes of the 20th century, as well as the victims of legionnaires' and communist regimes, should not be forgotten. At the same time, the University of Bucharest firmly rejects "any form of dictatorship" and remains fully committed to the development of a Romanian society based on the Euro-Atlantic values of freedom, pluralism and the rule of law through its assumed research and educational missions: "We ask political parties to review their principles of selection and promotion of leaders and candidates in elections and of decision-makers in the administration system. To defend democracy and the Euro-Atlantic orientation and to avoid authoritarianism, Romania needs competent, democratic and efficient political leaders, but who understand the problems of the people and society and propose realistic and humanistic, not populist or messianic, solutions to solve them".
