From January to November 2019, UNOCT/ UNCCT trained more than 2100 individuals in 64 workshops and the Centre conducted 15 expert level meetings and 10 scoping/ technical missions. These programmes and projects focus on key thematic areas in counter-terrorism and prevention of violent extremism as and when conducive to terrorism, including foreign terrorist fighters, counter-terrorism/PCVE strategies, border security, cyber security, WMD/CBRN terrorism, South-South Cooperation, human rights, and victims of terrorism.</p> <p>The Centre is also initiating new programmes and projects on global youth engagement and empowerment, terrorism-arms-crime nexus, and Screening and Prosecution, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration of individuals suspected or convicted of committing terrorist acts.
