The concept of divine justice is rooted in the character of God, who is described as just and fair. In <a href="/deuteronomy/32-4.htm">Deuteronomy 32:4</a> , it is written, "He is the Rock, His work is perfect; all His ways are just. A God of faithfulness without injustice, righteous and upright is He."<br><br>Throughout the Scriptures, divine justice is portrayed as both retributive and restorative. Retributive justice involves the punishment of wrongdoing, as seen in the account of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) and the plagues of Egypt (Exodus 7-12). God's justice ensures that evil does not go unpunished, as stated in <a href="/nahum/1-3.htm">Nahum 1:3</a> : "The LORD is slow to anger and great in power; the LORD will by no means leave the guilty unpunished."<br><br>Restorative justice, on the other hand, seeks to restore relationships and bring about reconciliation. This is evident in the sacrificial system of the Old Testament, which foreshadows the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ. In <a href="/romans/3-25.htm">Romans 3:25-26</a> , Paul explains, "God presented Him as the atoning sacrifice through faith in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had passed over the sins committed beforehand. He did this to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and to justify the one who has faith in Jesus."<br><br><b>Divine Protection</b><br><br>Divine protection is another significant theme in the Bible, emphasizing God's care and safeguarding of His people. The Bible is replete with promises of God's protection for those who trust in Him. <a href="/psalms/91.htm">Psalm 91:1-2</a> declares, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'"<br><br>God's protection is often depicted as a shield or fortress, providing safety and security. In <a href="/proverbs/18-10.htm">Proverbs 18:10</a> , it is written, "The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe." This imagery conveys the idea that God is a reliable refuge in times of trouble.<br><br>The Bible also recounts numerous instances where God intervenes to protect His people. The deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt, the preservation of Daniel in the lion's den (Daniel 6), and the protection of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace (Daniel 3) are all examples of divine protection in action.<br><br>Moreover, divine protection is not limited to physical safety but extends to spiritual preservation. In <a href="/ephesians/6-10.htm">Ephesians 6:10-11</a> , believers are encouraged to "be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes." This passage highlights the spiritual dimension of God's protective care.<br><br>In summary, divine justice and protection are integral aspects of God's relationship with humanity, reflecting His holiness, righteousness, and love. Through His justice, God maintains moral order, and through His protection, He offers refuge and security to those who seek Him.</div></div><div id="centbox"><div class="padcent"><a name="sub" id="sub"></a><div class="vheading2">Subtopics</div><p class="pspc"><a href="/topical/d/divine.htm">Divine</a></p><p class="pspc"><a href="/topical/d/divine_favour.htm">Divine Favour</a></p><p class="pspc"><a href="/topical/d/divine_healing.htm">Divine Healing</a></p><p class="pspc"><a href="/topical/d/divine_inspiration.htm">Divine Inspiration</a></p><p class="pspc"><a href="/topical/d/divine_mercy.htm">Divine Mercy</a></p><p class="pspc"><a href="/topical/d/divine_names.htm">Divine Names</a></p><p class="pspc"><a href="/topical/d/divine_protection.htm">Divine Protection</a></p><p class="pspc"><a href="/topical/d/divine_visitation.htm">Divine Visitation</a></p><a name="rel" id="rel"></a><div class="vheading2">Related Terms</div><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/s/spiritists.htm">Spiritists (8 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/p/provoking.htm">Provoking (29 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/d/divinely.htm">Divinely (11 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/d/divine.htm">Divine (39 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/o/observed.htm">Observed (84 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/j/josi'ah.htm">Josi'ah (50 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/e/experience.htm">Experience (28 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/p/pleases.htm">Pleases (51 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/s/stargazers.htm">Stargazers (1 Occurrence)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/f/favor.htm">Favor (184 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/c/conscience.htm">Conscience (36 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/a/allow.htm">Allow (86 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/l/laban.htm">Laban (52 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/s/signs.htm">Signs (127 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/s/stay.htm">Stay (221 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/p/please.htm">Please (324 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/b/bless.htm">Bless (174 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/h/hilki'ah.htm">Hilki'ah (30 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/d/divination.htm">Divination (25 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/k/king.htm">King (25505 Occurrences)</a></p><p class="pspc2"><a href="/topical/k/kingdom.htm">Kingdom (409 Occurrences)</a></div></div></td></tr></table></div><div id="left"><a href="/topical/d/divine_justice_and_prophecy_fulfillment.htm" onmouseover='lft.src="/leftgif.png"' onmouseout='lft.src="/left.png"' title="Divine Justice and Prophecy Fulfillment"><img src="/left.png" name="lft" border="0" alt="Divine Justice and Prophecy Fulfillment" /></a></div><div id="right"><a href="/topical/d/divine_justice_and_provision.htm" onmouseover='rght.src="/rightgif.png"' onmouseout='rght.src="/right.png"' title="Divine Justice and Provision"><img src="/right.png" name="rght" border="0" alt="Divine Justice and Provision" /></a></div><div id="botleft"><a href="#" onmouseover='botleft.src="/botleftgif.png"' onmouseout='botleft.src="/botleft.png"' title="Top of Page"><img src="/botleft.png" name="botleft" border="0" alt="Top of Page" /></a></div><div id="botright"><a href="#" onmouseover='botright.src="/botrightgif.png"' onmouseout='botright.src="/botright.png"' title="Top of Page"><img src="/botright.png" name="botright" border="0" alt="Top of Page" /></a></div> <div id="mdd"><div align="center"><div class="bot2"><table align="center" width="100%"><tr><td><div align="center"><script id="3d27ed63fc4348d5b062c4527ae09445"> (new Image()).src = 'https://capi.connatix.com/tr/si?token=51ce25d5-1a8c-424a-8695-4bd48c750f35&cid=3a9f82d0-4344-4f8d-ac0c-e1a0eb43a405';
