George Zimmerman made a call to 911 indicating that he thought the youth was up to no good. An operator told him not to follow the teen, but Zimmerman did anyway. Minutes later, Martin was dead. Zimmerman says he fired in self-defense. Martin was carrying a bag of candy and a can of iced tea.<br/><br/> Zimmerman is licensed to carry a concealed firearm. He is not a police officer, but aspired to be. Was he an overzealous enforcer? Was race involved as some have claimed?
