the night is coming in which a man cannot work."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"As long as I am in the world, I am The Light of the world."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And when he had said these things, he spat on the ground and formed clay from his spittle and he smeared it on the eyes of him who was blind.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And he said to him, "Go wash in the baptismal pool of Shilokha", and he went on, he washed, and as he was coming, he saw.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But his neighbors and those who had seen him begging before were saying: "Was this not he who sat and begged?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Some were saying, "This is he", and some were saying, "No, but he is someone like him", but he said, "I am he."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><span class="spcl">They were saying to him, "How were your eyes opened?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He answered and said to them, "A man by the name'Yeshua' made clay and anointed me on my eyes and said to me, 'Go wash in the water of Shilokha', and I went, I washed and I saw."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><span class="spcl">They were saying to him, "Where is he?" He said to them, " I do not know."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they brought him, who before had been blind, to the Pharisees.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But it was the Sabbath when Yeshua made clay and opened his eyes for him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And the Pharisees asked him again, "How did sight come to you?" He said to them, "He put clay on my eyes and I washed and sight came to me."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And some of the Pharisees were saying, "This man is not from God because he does not keep the Sabbath"; but others were saying, "How is it possible for a man who is a sinner to do these miracles?" And there was a division among them.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Again they were saying to him who had been blind, "What do you say about him who opened your eyes for you?" He said to them, "I say he is a Prophet."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But the Judeans did not believe concerning him that he had been blind and was seeing, until they called the parents of the man who was seeing.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they asked them: "Is this your son, the same whom you were saying that was born blind? How does he now see?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But his parents answered and said, "We know that this is our son and that he was born blind;"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"But how he sees now or who he is that opened his eyes for him we do not know. He has come of age, ask him, for he shall speak for himself."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span><span class="spcl">His parents said these things because they were afraid of the Judeans, for the Judeans had decided that if a man would confess him to be The Messiah, they would cast him out of the synagogue.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Therefore his parents said, "He has come of age; ask him."</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And they called the man a second time who had been blind and they were saying to him, "Glorify God, for we know that this man is a sinner."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He answered and said to them, "If he is a sinner, I do not know, but one thing I do know: I was blind and behold, now I see."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><span class="spcl">They were saying to him again, "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes for you?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He said to them, "I told you and you were not listening. Why do you want to hear again? Do you also want to become his disciples?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But they were insulting him and were saying to him, "You are his disciple; we are the disciples of Moses."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"And we know that God spoke with Moses, but we do not know from where this man is."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span><span class="spcl">That man answered and said, "This is therefore to be marveled at, that you do not know from where he is and he opened my eyes."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"But we know that God does not listen to the voice of a sinner, but listens to whoever worships him and does his will."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"It has never been heard that a man has opened the eyes of one who was born blind."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span><span class="spcl">"If this one were not from God, he would not have been able to do this."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span><span class="spcl">They answered and were saying to him, "You were born entirely in sins, and are you teaching us?" And they cast him out.</span><p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua heard that they had cast him out, and he found him and said to him, "Do you believe in the Son of God?" *</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span><span class="spcl">He who had been healed answered and said, "Who is He, my lord, that I may trust in him?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-37.htm"><b>37</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua said to him, "You have seen him, and he is The One who is speaking with you."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-38.htm"><b>38</b></a></span><span class="spcl">But he said, "I believe, my Lord", and falling down, he worshiped him.</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-39.htm"><b>39</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And Yeshua said, "For the judgment of this world I have come, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may become blind."</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-40.htm"><b>40</b></a></span><span class="spcl">And those of the Pharisees who had been with him heard these things and they said to him, "Are we also blind?"</span> <span class="reftext"><a href="/john/9-41.htm"><b>41</b></a></span><span class="spcl">Yeshua said to them, "If you were blind, you would not have sin, but now you say, 'We see.'
