Erforschung der deutsch-indischen Verflechtungsgeschichte neue Forschungsperspektiven im Bereich der transnationalen Geschichte und des historischen Vergleichs zu entwickeln. Durch die Nutzung dieser Quellen können Wissenschaftler neue Forschungsansätze in der Auseinandersetzung mit der modernen indischen Geschichte entwickeln, die  nicht vordergründig  der Logik britischer Kolonialarchive folgen.</p> <p>Das <span class="caps">MIDA</span> Archival Reflexikon, das die Online-Datenbank des Projekts begleitet, ist ein open-access Journal für reflexive Diskussionen über die vielfältigen indienbezogenen Bestände deutscher Archive. Ein wesentliches Anliegen des Reflexicons ist es, sowohl über theoretische Fragen nachzudenken, die  die Hinwendung zu verflochtenen transnationalen und globalen Geschichtsnarrativen aufwirft,  als auch  methodologische Probleme zu beleuchten, die sich aus den  Spannungsverhältnissen zwischen Verflechtungsgeschichte(n) und Archiven ergeben. Zugleich ist es ein Medium, in dem umfassende thematische Übersichten zu indienbezogenen Beständen deutscher Archive dargelegt werden.</p> <p>Das <span class="caps">MIDA</span> Archival Reflexicon ist somit ein reflexives Lexikon, das zeigt, wie
