Il est ensuite devenu spécialiste en information météo pour Environnement Canada, avant de se joindre à l'équipe de MétéoMédia dès l'ouverture de la station, en 1988. Au cours de cette longue carrière, Réjean Ouimet a vu sa part de phénomènes météo spectaculaires; c'est toutefois l'orage du 14 juillet 1987, au cours duquel il a dû traverser l'île de Montréal d'un bout à l'autre, qui l'a le plus marqué. After a four week internship at CHAT TV in Medicine Hat, Kelsey was offered a job at Global News in Regina as a reporter. Just six months into that position, Kelsey took over the sky as the Weather Specialist for Global Regina's Evening News &amp; News Hour Final. Now enrolled in Mississippi State University's Operational Meteorology program, Kelsey is back in her hometown of Calgary as a reporter for The Weather Network. He was also an on-air meteorologist and severe weather specialist covering tornadoes, hurricanes and winter storms for MétéoMédia. Martin has been featured as an expert on CBC, CTV, Global, TVA, TQS and numerous radio stations. He has also been quoted in many newspapers. Additionally, Martin was responsible for the planning and management of the installation of lightning sensors and operation of our national lightning detection network. Fascinated by the diverse atmospheric phenomena, Martin graduated from the University of Québec in Montréal with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics-Meteorology. He has also completed studies in radio and television. Since joining The Weather Network team in February 2011 as an on-call presenter, Farah has gained an appreciation for the art of weather forecasting. "It's harder than rocket science, because it's changing all the time," she says. Farah has a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Ryerson University. Her passion for connecting with people led her to a career in broadcasting. While completing her degree, she did an internship at CTV and worked alongside prominent news anchors, including Lisa Laflamme and Scott Laurie. In 2007, she became a familiar voice on the radio airwaves as a reporter for CFRB News Talk 1010. Interviewing Arnold Schwarzenegger and flying upside down in a fighter aircraft during the CNE Air Show are some of Farah's favorite memories while working in radio. For the following two years, Farah volunteered for Rogers TV, where she was a writer, videographer, editor and on-air host, covering everything from the local entertainment scene to the municipal elections. Her desire to propel forward led her to the green screen world of The Weather Network. "Almost everyone at least once a day thinks or talks about the weather," she says. For Farah, the greatest reward is giving people the forecast to help them plan and prepare their day. When Farah is not in the studio, you'll likely bump into her by the lake jogging or walking her dogs. CTV called wanting to interview Nathan due to a mumps outbreak and he agreed under the condition that his resume be forwarded to the News Director. Krissy knows all about the changing weather after spending 2 years working onboard cruise ships, which often meant waking up in a different part of the world daily. She also interned abroad in the Southern Hemisphere at Canterbury Television in Christchurch, New Zealand. There is no denying Krissy has been seriously bitten by the travel bug having already visited 29 countries. In her words she still has the rest of the world to go! When Krissy isn’t traveling the world she can often be found wasting countless hours planning imaginary vacations. Après des études universitaires en finances, elle a passé 7 ans à la radio d’INFO 690 et du 98,5FM en tant que lectrice de nouvelles et journaliste financier. Ayant plusieurs cordes à son arc, elle est chanteuse depuis l’âge de 16 ans. Elle a interprété les hymnes nationaux pendant près de 10 ans pour Le Club de hockey Le Canadien de Montréal, les Expos et le football des Alouettes et a chanté à la Cérémonie de clôture des Jeux Olympiques de Calgary en 1988. Après un saut en comédie musicale, elle chante actuellement pour des entreprises (contrats corporatifs) à Montréal. Dès les premiers jours, il s'est mis en tête de répondre à la question que se posent les téléspectateurs : pourquoi fait-il ce temps? Cette curiosité sans frontière a vite fait de lui un expert du domaine. En 1996, dans le cadre d'un congrès à Paris, il rencontre un homologue qui lui parle pour la première fois des changements climatiques. C'est une révélation : ce sujet est désormais une préoccupation majeure pour Patrick, qui s'est donné comme mission de conscientiser les téléspectateurs au sort de notre planète. Vicky a travaillé durant deux ans comme journaliste, animatrice et recherchiste pour la chaîne Avis de recherche, et comme chroniqueuse mode et culture pour la Webtélé Québec Tendance. Bien qu'elle fasse partie de l'équipe de MétéoMédia depuis seulement quelques mois, Vicky a notamment eu la chance de couvrir le passage de la tempête tropicale Irene sur le terrain, dans les rues de Montréal; une expérience particulièrement mémorable, malgré le froid et la pluie! Fidèle au poste chaque matin de la semaine dès 5 h 30, Vicky accompagne les téléspectateurs dans leur routine matinale. Tour à tour, il a animé des émissions dans plusieurs stations montréalaises, dont CKAC, Cité Rock Détente, Rythme FM; il a également inauguré avec des collègues une station de radio à Laval, puis il a tenu le poste de Morning Man durant six ans à CKOI-FM, avant de se joindre à l'équipe de MétéoMédia en 1995. <br/> Il a aussi prêté sa voix à plusieurs documentaires diffusés à la télévision, fait du doublage, animé des soirées en tant que maître de cérémonie et a été associé durant des années à quelques commerces montréalais à titre de porte-parole. <br/> En dehors des ondes, il aime pratiquer plusieurs sports, comme la raquette, le badminton, la marche, le vélo et les exercices en salle. <br/> Christian a également l'oreille fine pour la sonorisation haute-fidélité. He was also an on-air meteorologist and severe weather specialist covering tornadoes, hurricanes and winter storms for MétéoMédia. Martin has been featured as an expert on CBC, CTV, Global, TVA, TQS and numerous radio stations. He has also been quoted in many newspapers. Additionally, Martin was responsible for the planning and management of the installation of lightning sensors and operation of our national lightning detection network. Fascinated by the diverse atmospheric phenomena, Martin graduated from the University of Québec in Montréal with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics-Meteorology. He has also completed studies in radio and television. Previously Arda was a sports reporter with Global News Toronto and co-host of the daily lifestyle program, Daytime. </p> <p xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Arda holds a degree in Mathematics (no kidding) from the University of Waterloo and volunteered at the local radio station (CKMS FM) and the school newspaper. He was the first on our network to stream live videos of a tornado, avalanches and hurricanes. <br xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"/> Mark has intercepted 15 hurricanes and over 30 tornadoes across North America. He jumps at the chance to go down to Tornado Alley during the height of tornado season, most recently reporting the devastation moments after a tornado touched down in Moore, OK. Mark was there for the most destructive hurricane in US history; Katrina. <br xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"/> Not surprising Mark is a world traveler and adventurer, having recently been to the Arctic, visited isolated Greenland and touched the southern hemisphere on Antarctica – brr!
