strategies focused on the residential business: Built-to-order business, Supplied housing business, and Development business. </span></dt> <dd> <p>Founded in 1960, Sekisui House has its origins in the detached houses business. Today, Sekisui House cooperates closely with group companies across a wide range of businesses including rental housing, development of land for sale, remodeling, and overseas business, with the aim of creating comfortable living environments for the next generation.<br>Our operations in Japan utilize three business models. The first is the model of the built-to-order business, which has established a solid customer base by providing high-value-added houses and buildings. The second is the supplied housing business model, which draws on this customer base to conduct remodeling, rental housing management and other operations. The profit from these businesses is then invested in our third business model, development, which focuses on high-quality urban redevelopment and the development of beautiful communities that are a pleasure to live in. As we make growth investments for the future, we are also establishing a sustainable value creation process.
