The entrepreneurial journey over these 17 years has been an exciting roller coaster ride– filled with many challenges, setbacks as well as successes and achievements. So many accelerator programs support start-ups in business development, organisational growth and fundraising. However, one crucial aspect of founder life remains a taboo topic: Keeping your mental strength despite being under-resourced and highly committed to make your dream work. That is why, it has been my desire to not only raise awareness about the mental stress of founder life, but also hand practical guidance on how to cope with it. I have tried different methods before, with little success, and strongly benefited from taking part in one of Kim van Niekerk’s online trainings in 2022, provided by the SIT Alumni program of EIB institute.
As LaMonachia Munich business women award winner 2021 and EIT Women Leadership Award Winner 2022 I spent part of the prize money to launch the mental strength online training program with Kim van Niekerk as facilitator. This program will now be supplemented with additional onsite community days. I want to create a safe space and a support community of other remarkable founders to build up founders’ emotional and mental strength, they and their start-ups require. I dedicate this program to the love of my life and soulmate PD Dr. Bernhard Kreymann, founder of ADVITOS, who died far too early from a heart attack in July 2022. Bernhard’s support as well as our team spirit based on mutual trust and appreciation were major factors for my own resilience all these years. I will be forever grateful and Bernhard will never be forgotten.

Catherine Schreiber

Co-Founder of ADVITOS GmbH, EIT Women leadership Award Winner 2022, Munich LaMonachia Award Winner 2021

© Catherine Schreiber

linkedin

Impressum
