<t><p class="indent1">And Moab<MH4124> will die<MH4191> amid the panic<MH7588> <i>of battle,</i> <t><p class="indent1">Amid war<MH8643> cries<MH8643> and the sound<MH6963> of a trumpet<MH7782>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/amos/2-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>“I will also eliminate<MH3772> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>judge<MH8199> from her midst<MH7130> <t><p class="indent1">And slay<MH2026> all<MH3605> her leaders<MH8269> with him,” says<MH559> the LORD<MH3068>. <p class="hdg">Judgment on Judah</p><poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/amos/2-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the LORD<MH3068> says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">“For three<MH7969> offenses<MH6588> of Judah<MH3063>, and for four<MH702>, <t><p class="indent1">I will not revoke<MH7725> its <i>punishment,</i> <t><p class="indent1">Because<MH5921> they rejected<MH3988a> the Law<MH8451> of the LORD<MH3068> <t><p class="indent1">And have not kept<MH8104> His statutes<MH2706>; <t><p class="indent1">Their <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>lies<MH3577> also have led<MH8582> them astray<MH8582>, <t><p class="indent1">Those which<MH834> their fathers<MH1> followed<MH1980, 310>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/amos/2-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>“So I will send<MH7971> fire<MH784> upon Judah<MH3063>, <t><p class="indent1">And it will consume<MH398> the citadels<MH759> of Jerusalem<MH3389>.” <p class="hdg">Judgment on Israel</p><poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/amos/2-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the LORD<MH3068> says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">“For three<MH7969> offenses<MH6588> of Israel<MH3478>, and for four<MH702>, <t><p class="indent1">I will not revoke<MH7725> its <i>punishment,</i> <t><p class="indent1">Because<MH5921> they sell<MH4376> the righteous<MH6662> for <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>money<MH3701>, <t><p class="indent1">And the needy<MH34> for a pair of sandals<MH5275>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/amos/2-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“These who <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>trample<MH7602b> the head<MH7218> of the helpless<MH1800b> to the dust<MH6083> of the earth<MH776> <t><p class="indent1">Also divert<MH5186> the way<MH1870> of the humble<MH6035>;
