В годы царствования его затмила сводная сестра и супруга Хатшепсут. Если Тутмос II был сыном Тутмоса I от второстепенной жены Мутнофрет, то матерью Хатшепсут была главная жена того же фараона — Ахмосе.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Некоторые археологи считают, что настоящая власть в то время принадлежала именно Хатшепсут. После смерти мужа она присвоила часть посвященных брату-супругу памятников и заменила его имя на свое в царских картушах (знаке в иероглифах).</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">В октябре 2022 года в Вади Габбанат эль-Куруде нашли царскую гробницу. Она была расположена возле усыпальниц жен Тутмоса III и самой Хатшепсут, так что археологи сначала предположили, что и эта гробница создавалась для жены фараона. Обозначили усыпальницу как C4. В ходе последующего за открытием исследования было установлено, что С4 все же принадлежала Тутмосу II. Об этом свидетельствуют надписи на сохранившихся здесь осколках сосудов.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">В древности останки Тутмоса II перезахоронили в тайнике возле Дейр-эль-Бахари, где он покоился рядом с представителями XVIII и XIX династий. Царский тайник раскопали в XIX веке.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">Как рассказывал РБК Life директор Центра египтологических исследований РАН Сергей Иванов, почти сразу после погребения фараонов в их гробницы являлись грабители.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">«В конце эпохи Нового царства этот процесс приобрел такой размах, что жрецы бога Амона в Карнаке, отвечавшие за царский некрополь, решили перезахоронить фараонов в двух гробницах. Одна из них — усыпальница Аменхотепа II в Долине царей, другая — тайник в Дейр-эль-Бахари, который находится над храмом царицы Хатшепсут», — уточнил египтолог.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #000000;">У Хатшепсут и Тутмоса II была только одна дочь Нефрура. После смерти фараона власть перешла к его сыну из гарема Тутмосу III, которому предстояло стать одним из величайших царей Древнего Египта. На момент коронации он был еще ребенком, так что Хатшепсут стала при нем регентшей. Она смогла укрепить собственную власть и спустя несколько лет объявила себя фараоном. За предыдущие 1500 лет в Древнем Египте к власти пришли лишь две, возможно три, женщины. Они заняли трон только потому, что не было законного наследника-мужчины. Гробницу этого фараона в течение нескольких лет искал англичанин Говард Картер — 26 ноября 1922 года состоялось ее официальное открытие. Спонсором раскопок выступил аристократ Джордж Герберт. Картер не получил в Великобритании академических и королевских наград за свое открытие.
