GoS is the stage of conveying gas from the gas processing facility (<a href='https://heaptalk.com/news/goto-peopleverse-fund-gpf-vends-a-556-9-million-goto-shares/' title='GoTo Peopleverse Fund (GPF) vends a 556.9 million GOTO shares'>GPF</a>) to the metering area to be conveyed to buyers through distribution pipelines.</p> <p>The distribution of the prime gas marks a new chapter of the JTB project managed by PT <a href='https://heaptalk.com/industry/pertamina-ep-discovers-new-gas-reserves-in-central-java/' title='Pertamina EP discovers new gas reserves in Central Java'>Pertamina EP</a> Cepu (<a href="https://pepc.pertamina.com/">PEPC</a>), a subsidiary of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi as the upstream sub-holding towards the gas production phase. Previously, on August 2022, <a href='https://heaptalk.com/industry/pertamina-ep-discovers-new-gas-reserves-in-central-java/' title='Pertamina EP discovers new gas reserves in Central Java'>Pertamina EP</a> Cepu in collaboration with implementing partners flowed gas from the well to the gas processing facility, also called gas in, as part of an important stage for the JTB project.</p> <p>President Director of <a href='https://heaptalk.com/industry/pertamina-ep-discovers-new-gas-reserves-in-central-java/' title='Pertamina EP discovers new gas reserves in Central Java'>Pertamina EP</a> Cepu, Awang Lazuardi, delivered that the gas on-stream process has gone through crucial stages full of challenges, as a result of the hard work of all parties involved in the JTB gas project. “We can overcome various challenges together and finally JTB gas can be flowed to the metering to be distributed to buyers. Thus, JTB gas has officially made a real contribution to the fulfillment of national <a href='https://heaptalk.com/govact/jokowi-downstream-in-the-energy-sector-boosts-added-value-for-the-national-economy/' title='Jokowi: Downstream in the energy sector boosts added value for the national economy'>energy</a>,” said Awang.</p> <p>President <a href='https://heaptalk.com/feature-news/arriving-in-west-kutai-on-november-3-president-joko-widodo-will-be-greeted-by-25000-residents/' title='President Joko Widodo will be greeted by 25,000 residents in the West Kutai’s 24th anniversary'>Joko Widodo</a> appointed PT <a href="https://www.pertamina.com/">Pertamina Persero</a> to handle the JTB project as one of the national strategic projects (<a href='https://heaptalk.com/industry/indonesias-psn-cooperates-with-indias-elena-to-develop-satellite-navigation-system/' title='Indonesia’s PSN cooperates with India’s Elena to develop satellite navigation system'>PSN</a>) in the energy sector, particularly gas production. The appointment is made through Presidential Decree Number 109 of 2020 on the Acceleration of Implementation of National Strategic Projects.</p> <p>JTB is expected to be one of the largest potential gas producers in <a href='https://heaptalk.com/govact/indonesia-to-amplify-partnership-with-united-states/' title='Indonesia to amplify partnership with United States'>Indonesia</a> reaching 192 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). Of this amount, 100 MMSCFD has been prepared to meet the needs of the State <a href='https://heaptalk.com/news/minister-of-energy-ensures-electricity-reliability-during-ramadan-and-eid-al-fitr-1445-h/' title='Minister of Energy ensures electricity reliability during Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr 1445 H'>Electricity</a> Company’s power plant (PT <a href='https://heaptalk.com/news/pln-outlines-a-sustainable-energy-self-sufficiency-strategy-to-boost-economy/' title='PLN outlines a sustainable energy self-sufficiency strategy to boost economy'>PLN</a>).</p> <p>Separately, the Head of <a href="https://heaptalk.com/news/skk-migas-strengthens-collaboration-to-achieve-the-target-of-1-million-barrels.html">SKK Migas</a>, Dwi Soetjipto, said that the presence of the JTB gas project not only contributed to increasing national <a href='https://heaptalk.com/industry/a-key-to-achieve-oil-and-gas-production-and-decarbonization-targets/' title='A key to achieve oil and gas production and decarbonization targets'>oil and gas</a> production but also created a multiplier effect. The project has helped drive national supporting industries as well as local entrepreneurs and the community around the project.
