She saith to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And as she thus spoke, she turned about, and beheld Jesus standing by, and knew not that it was Jesus. <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>Then Jesus said to her, Woman, why art thou weeping? whom art thou seeking? She, supposing that it was the gardener, said to him, Sir, if thou hast carried him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>Jesus saith to her, Mary! Then were the disciples glad when they saw the Lord. <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>Jesus therefore spake to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you. <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>And so speaking, he breathed on them, and said, Receive the Holy Ghost: <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins soever ye retain, they are retained.<CM><p> <A name="25"></a><p class="hdg">Jesus Appears to Thomas<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>Now Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called Didymus, the twin, was not with them when Jesus came. <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/john/20-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>Then the other disciples said to him, We have seen the Lord.
