This technique consists in applying the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) in LWT (Lifting Wavelet Transform) domain in order to insert the watermark image (grayscale) in the host image (grayscale or color image). It also uses signature in the embedding and extraction steps. The technique is applied on a number of grayscale and color images. The performance of this technique is proved by the PSNR (Pick Signal to Noise Ratio), the MSE (Mean Square Error) and the SSIM (structural similarity) computations. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lifting%20wavelet%20transform%20%28LWT%29" title="lifting wavelet transform (LWT)">lifting wavelet transform (LWT)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sub-space%20vectorial%20decomposition" title=" sub-space vectorial decomposition"> sub-space vectorial decomposition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=secure" title=" secure"> secure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=image%20watermarking" title=" image watermarking"> image watermarking</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=watermark" title=" watermark"> watermark</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/70998/lifting-wavelet-transform-and-singular-values-decomposition-for-secure-image-watermarking" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/70998.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">276</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">69</span> Application of the Bionic Wavelet Transform and Psycho-Acoustic Model for Speech Compression </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chafik%20Barnoussi">Chafik Barnoussi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mourad%20Talbi"> Mourad Talbi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Adnane%20Cherif"> Adnane Cherif</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper we propose a new speech compression system based on the application of the Bionic Wavelet Transform (BWT) combined with the psychoacoustic model. This compression system is a modified version of the compression system using a MDCT (Modified Discrete Cosine Transform) filter banks of 32 filters each and the psychoacoustic model. This modification consists in replacing the banks of the MDCT filter banks by the bionic wavelet coefficients which are obtained from the application of the BWT to the speech signal to be compressed. These two methods are evaluated and compared with each other by computing bits before and bits after compression. They are tested on different speech signals and the obtained simulation results show that the proposed technique outperforms the second technique and this in term of compressed file size. In term of SNR, PSNR and NRMSE, the outputs speech signals of the proposed compression system are with acceptable quality. In term of PESQ and speech signal intelligibility, the proposed speech compression technique permits to obtain reconstructed speech signals with good quality. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=speech%20compression" title="speech compression">speech compression</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bionic%20wavelet%20transform" title=" bionic wavelet transform"> bionic wavelet transform</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=filterbanks" title=" filterbanks"> filterbanks</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=psychoacoustic%20model" title=" psychoacoustic model"> psychoacoustic model</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/1921/application-of-the-bionic-wavelet-transform-and-psycho-acoustic-model-for-speech-compression" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/1921.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">384</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">68</span> Polyphenols Content and Antioxidant Activity of Extracts from Peganum harmala Seeds</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rachid%20Kacem">Rachid Kacem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sara%20Talbi"> Sara Talbi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yasmina%20Hemissi"> Yasmina Hemissi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sofia%20%20Bouguattoucha"> Sofia Bouguattoucha</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The aim of the present work is the evaluation of the antioxidant activity of the Peganum harmala (P. harmala) seeds extracts. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by applying two methods, the method of ß-carotene bleaching and DPPH (2, 2-Diphenyl-1-Picryl-Hydrazyl). Using Folin-Ciocalteu assay, these results revealed that the concentration of polyphenols in EthOH E. (122.28 ± 2.24 µg GAE/mg extract) is the highest. The antiradical activity of the P. harmala seeds extracts on DPPH was found to be dose dependent with polyphenols concentration. The E. EthOH extract showed the highest antioxidant activity (IC = 252.10 ± 11.18 μg /ml). The test of β-carotene bleaching indicates that the E. EthOH of P. harmala showed the highest percentage of the antioxidant activity (49.88 %). <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=antioxidant%20activity" title="antioxidant activity">antioxidant activity</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Peganum%20harmala" title=" Peganum harmala"> Peganum harmala</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=polyphenols" title=" polyphenols"> polyphenols</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flavonoids" title=" flavonoids "> flavonoids </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/32852/polyphenols-content-and-antioxidant-activity-of-extracts-from-peganum-harmala-seeds" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/32852.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">506</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">67</span> Modeling Revolution Shell Structures by MATLAB Programming-Axisymmetric and Nonaxisymmetric Shells</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hamadi%20Djamal">Hamadi Djamal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Labiodh%20Bachir"> Labiodh Bachir</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ounis%20Abdelhafid"> Ounis Abdelhafid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chaalane%20Mourad"> Chaalane Mourad</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The objective of this work is setting numerically operational finite element CAXI_L for the axisymmetric and nonaxisymmetric shells. Most of them are based on the structure of Fridrich, which is based on the traditional confusion-diffusion architecture proposed by Shannon. Compared with traditional cryptosystems (DES, 3DES, AES, etc.), the chaos-based cryptosystems are more flexible, more modular and easier to be implemented, which make them suitable for large scale-data encyption, such as images and videos. The heart of any chaos-based cryptosystem is the chaotic generator and so, a part of the efficiency (robustness, speed) of the system depends greatly on it. In this talk, we give an overview of the state of the art of chaos-based block ciphers and we describe some of our schemes already proposed. Also we will focus on the essential characteristics of the digital chaotic generator, The needed performance of a chaos-based block cipher in terms of security level and speed of calculus depends on the considered application. There is a compromise between the security and the speed of the calculation. The security of these block block ciphers will be analyzed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=chaos-based%20cryptosystems" title="chaos-based cryptosystems">chaos-based cryptosystems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=chaotic%20generator" title=" chaotic generator"> chaotic generator</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=security%20analysis" title=" security analysis"> security analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=structure%20of%20Fridrich" title=" structure of Fridrich"> structure of Fridrich</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13064/main-chaos-based-image-encryption-algorithm" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13064.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">684</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">63</span> Forecasting Cancers Cases in Algeria Using Double Exponential Smoothing Method</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Messis%20A.">Messis A.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Adjebli%20A."> Adjebli A.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ayeche%20R."> Ayeche R.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Talbi%20M."> Talbi M.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tighilet%20K."> Tighilet K.</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Louardiane%20M."> Louardiane M.</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Cancers are the second cause of death worldwide. Prevalence and incidence of cancers is getting increased by aging and population growth. This study aims to predict and modeling the evolution of breast, Colorectal, Lung, Bladder and Prostate cancers over the period of 2014-2019. In this study, data were analyzed using time series analysis with double exponential smoothing method to forecast the future pattern. To describe and fit the appropriate models, Minitab statistical software version 17 was used. Between 2014 and 2019, the overall trend in the raw number of new cancer cases registered has been increasing over time; the change in observations over time has been increasing. Our forecast model is validated since we have good prediction for the period 2020 and data not available for 2021 and 2022. Time series analysis showed that the double exponential smoothing is an efficient tool to model the future data on the raw number of new cancer cases. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cancer" title="cancer">cancer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=time%20series" title=" time series"> time series</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=prediction" title=" prediction"> prediction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=double%20exponential%20smoothing" title=" double exponential smoothing"> double exponential smoothing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/164142/forecasting-cancers-cases-in-algeria-using-double-exponential-smoothing-method" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/164142.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">88</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">62</span> Optimizing Exposure Parameters in Digital Mammography: A Study in Morocco </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Talbi%20Mohammed">Talbi Mohammed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Oustous%20Aziz"> Oustous Aziz</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ben%20Messaoud%20Mounir"> Ben Messaoud Mounir</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sebihi%20Rajaa"> Sebihi Rajaa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Khalis%20Mohammed"> Khalis Mohammed</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Background: Breast cancer is the leading cause of death for women around the world. Screening mammography is the reference examination, due to its sensitivity for detecting small lesions and micro-calcifications. Therefore, it is essential to ensure quality mammographic examinations with the most optimal dose. These conditions depend on the choice of exposure parameters. Clinically, practices must be evaluated in order to determine the most appropriate exposure parameters. Material and Methods: We performed our measurements on a mobile mammography unit (PLANMED Sofie-classic.) in Morocco. A solid dosimeter (AGMS Radcal) and a MTM 100 phantom allow to quantify the delivered dose and the image quality. For image quality assessment, scores are defined by the rate of visible inserts (MTM 100 phantom), obtained and compared for each acquisition. Results: The results show that the parameters of the mammography unit on which we have made our measurements can be improved in order to offer a better compromise between image quality and breast dose. The last one can be reduced up from 13.27% to 22.16%, while preserving comparable image quality. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mammography" title="Mammography">Mammography</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Breast%20Dose" title=" Breast Dose"> Breast Dose</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Image%20Quality" title=" Image Quality"> Image Quality</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Phantom" title=" Phantom"> Phantom</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/116596/optimizing-exposure-parameters-in-digital-mammography-a-study-in-morocco" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/116596.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">172</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">61</span> Study of the Effect of Extraction Solvent on the Content of Total Phenolic, Total Flavonoids and the Antioxidant Activity of an Endemic Medicinal Plant Growing in Morocco</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aghoutane%20Basma">Aghoutane Basma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Naama%20Amal"> Naama Amal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Talbi%20Hayat"> Talbi Hayat</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=El%20Manfalouti%20Hanae"> El Manfalouti Hanae</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kartah%20Badreddine"> Kartah Badreddine</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Aromatic and medicinal plants are used by man for different needs, including food and medicinal needs for their biological properties attributed mainly to phenolic compounds and for their antioxidant capacity. In our study, the aim is to compare three extraction solvents by evaluating the contents of phenolic compounds, the contents of flavonoids, and the antioxidant activities of extracts from different methods of extracting the aerial part of an endemic medicinal plant from Morocco. This activity was also confirmed by three methods (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), antioxidant reducing power of iron (FRAP), and total antioxidant capacity (CAT)). The results showed that this plant is rich in polyphenols and flavonoids, as well as it has a very important antioxidant capacity in whatever the solvent or the extraction method. This suggests the importance of using extracts from this plant as a new natural source of food additives and potent antioxidants in the food industry. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=endemic%20plant%20of%20Morocco" title="endemic plant of Morocco">endemic plant of Morocco</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=phenolic%20compound" title=" phenolic compound"> phenolic compound</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=solvent" title=" solvent"> solvent</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=extraction%20technique" title=" extraction technique"> extraction technique</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=antioxidant%20activity" title=" antioxidant activity"> antioxidant activity</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/142337/study-of-the-effect-of-extraction-solvent-on-the-content-of-total-phenolic-total-flavonoids-and-the-antioxidant-activity-of-an-endemic-medicinal-plant-growing-in-morocco" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/142337.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">298</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">60</span> A Non-Iterative Shape Reconstruction of an Interface from Boundary Measurement</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mourad%20Hrizi">Mourad Hrizi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, we study the inverse problem of reconstructing an interior interface D appearing in the elliptic partial differential equation: Δu+χ(D)u=0 from the knowledge of the boundary measurements. Frequently with phenol, furfural, NMP(N-methyl pyrrolidone). The solvent power and selectivity can be further increased by using surfactant as additive which facilitate phase separation and to increase raffinate yield. The aromatics in lube oil were extracted at different temperatures (ranging from 333.15 to 343.15K) and different concentration of surfactant (ranging from 0.01 to 0.1% wt).The extraction temperature and the amount of sulfate lauryl éther de sodium In phenoll were investigated systematically in order to determine their optimum values. The amounts of aromatic, paraffinic and naphthenic compounds were determined using ASTM standards by measuring refractive index (RI), viscosity, molecular weight and sulfur content. It was found that using 0,01%wt. surfactant at 343.15K yields the optimum extraction conditions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=extraction" title="extraction">extraction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=lubricating%20oil" title=" lubricating oil"> lubricating oil</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aromatics" title=" aromatics"> aromatics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hydrocarbons" title=" hydrocarbons"> hydrocarbons</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/19800/extraction-of-aromatic-hydrocarbons-from-lub-oil-using-sursurfactant-as-additive" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/19800.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">521</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">56</span> Rectenna Modeling Based on MoM-GEC Method for RF Energy Harvesting </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Soulayma%20Smirani">Soulayma Smirani</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mourad%20Aidi"> Mourad Aidi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Taoufik%20Aguili"> Taoufik Aguili</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Energy harvesting has arisen as a prominent research area for low power delivery to RF devices. Rectennas have become a key element in this technology. In this paper, electromagnetic modeling of a rectenna system is presented. In our approach, a hybrid technique was demonstrated to associate both the method of auxiliary sources (MAS) and MoM-GEC (the method of moments combined with the generalized equivalent circuit technique). Auxiliary sources were used in order to substitute specific electronic devices. Therefore, a simple and controllable model is obtained. Also, it can easily be interconnected to form different topologies of rectenna arrays for more energy harvesting. At last, simulation results show the feasibility and simplicity of the proposed rectenna model with high precision and computation efficiency. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=computational%20electromagnetics" title="computational electromagnetics">computational electromagnetics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=MoM-GEC%20method" title=" MoM-GEC method"> MoM-GEC method</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rectennas" title=" rectennas"> rectennas</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=RF%20energy%20harvesting" title=" RF energy harvesting"> RF energy harvesting</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/104394/rectenna-modeling-based-on-mom-gec-method-for-rf-energy-harvesting" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/104394.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">171</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">55</span> Dysbiosis of the Intestinal Microbiome in Colorectal Cancer Patients at Hospital of Amizour, Bejaia, Algeria</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Adjebli%20Ahmed">Adjebli Ahmed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Messis%20Abdelaziz"> Messis Abdelaziz</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ayeche%20Riad"> Ayeche Riad</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tighilet%20Karim"> Tighilet Karim</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Talbi%20Melissa"> Talbi Melissa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Smaili%20Yanis"> Smaili Yanis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lehri%20Mokrane"> Lehri Mokrane</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Louardiane%20Mustapha"> Louardiane Mustapha</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Colorectal cancer is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide, and its incidence has been increasing in recent years. Data and fecal samples from colorectal cancer patients were collected at the Amizour Public Hospital's oncology department (Bejaia, Algeria). Microbiological and cohort study were conducted at the Biological Engineering of Cancers laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bejaia. All the data showed that patients aged between 50 and 70 years were the most affected by colorectal cancer, while the age categories of [30-40] and [40-50] were the least affected. Males were more likely to be at risk of contracting colorectal cancer than females. The most common types of colorectal cancer among the studied population were sigmoid cancer, rectal cancer, transverse colon cancer, and ascending colon cancer. The hereditary factor was found to be more dominant than other risk factors. Bacterial identification revealed the presence of certain pathogenic and opportunistic bacterial genera, such as E. coli, K. pneumoniae, Shigella sp, and Streptococcus group D. These results led us to conclude that dysbiosis of the intestinal microbiome is strongly present in colorectal cancer patients at the EPH of Amizour. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=microbiome" title="microbiome">microbiome</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=colorectal%20cancer" title=" colorectal cancer"> colorectal cancer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=risk%20factors" title=" risk factors"> risk factors</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bacterial%20identification" title=" bacterial identification"> bacterial identification</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/164659/dysbiosis-of-the-intestinal-microbiome-in-colorectal-cancer-patients-at-hospital-of-amizour-bejaia-algeria" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/164659.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">86</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">54</span> Adsorption of Phenol and 4-Hydroxybenzoic Acid onto Functional Materials </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mourad%20Makhlouf">Mourad Makhlouf</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Omar%20Bouchher"> Omar Bouchher</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Messabih%20Sidi%20Mohamed"> Messabih Sidi Mohamed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Benrachedi%20Khaled"> Benrachedi Khaled</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The objective of this study was to investigate the removal of two organic pollutants; 4-hydroxybenzoic acid (p-hydroxybenzoic acid) and phenol from synthetic wastewater by the adsorption on mesoporous materials. The results of phenol and 4AHB adsorption in aqueous solution show that the adsorption capacity tends to increase after grafting in relation to the increase in hydrophobicity. The materials are distinguished by a higher adsorption capacity to the other NG materials. The difference in the phenol is 14.43% (MCM-41), 14.55% (FSM-16), and 16.72% (MCM-41), 13.57% (FSM-16) in the 4AHB. Language is no longer seen as a set of structured rules. It is rather viewed as a tool of interaction and communication. This shift in views has resulted in change in viewing language learning, which gave birth to various approaches and methodologies of language teaching. Two of these approaches are content-based instruction and content and language integrated learning (CLIL). These are similar approaches which integrate content and foreign/second language learning through various methodologies and models as a result of different implementations around the world. This presentation deals with sociocultural view of CBI and CLIL. It also defines language and content as vital components of CBI and CLIL. Next it reviews the origins of CBI and the continuum perspectives and CLIL definitions and models featured in the literature. Finally it summarizes current aspects around research in program evaluation with a focus on the benefits and challenges of these innovative approaches for second language teaching. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CBI" title="CBI">CBI</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CLIL" title=" CLIL"> CLIL</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CBI%20continuum" title=" CBI continuum"> CBI continuum</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CLIL%20models" title=" CLIL models"> CLIL models</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/40898/the-content-based-classroom-perspectives-on-integrating-language-and-content" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/40898.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">435</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">45</span> Promotion of Renewable Marines Energies in Morocco: Perspectives and Strategies</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nachtane%20Mourad">Nachtane Mourad</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tarfaoui%20Mostapha"> Tarfaoui Mostapha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Saifaoui%20Dennoun"> Saifaoui Dennoun</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=El%20Moumen%20Ahmed"> El Moumen Ahmed</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The current energy policy recommends the subject of energy efficiency and to phase out fossil energy as a master question for the prospective years. The kingdom requires restructuring its power equipment by improving the percentage of renewable energy supply and optimizing power systems and storage.
