Field learning provides students with knowledge and opportunities to experience solving issues in the field and giving them a clue of the practice situation. Despite being a crucial component in social work curriculum, field education occupies a large space in learning outcome, given the issues and challenges pertaining to its purpose and significance in the society. The drive of this paper is to provide insight on the specific ways in which field education has been conceived, realized and valued in the society. Emphasis is on the significance of field instruction; the link with classroom learning; and the structure of field experience in social work education. Given documented analysis and experience, this study intends to contribute to the development of social work curriculum, by analyzing the pattern, issues and challenges fronting the social work field education in the University of Benin, Nigeria. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=challenges" title="challenges">challenges</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=curriculum" title=" curriculum"> curriculum</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=field%20education" title=" field education"> field education</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=social%20work%20education" title=" social work education"> social work education</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/76258/issues-and-challenges-in-social-work-field-education-the-field-coordinators-perspective" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/76258.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">298</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8295</span> Localising Gauss’s Law and the Electric Charge Induction on a Conducting Sphere</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sirapat%20Lookrak">Sirapat Lookrak</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Anol%20Paisal"> Anol Paisal</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Space debris has numerous manifestations, including ferro-metalize and non-ferrous. The electric field will induce negative charges to split from positive charges inside the space debris. In this research, we focus only on conducting materials. The assumption is that the electric charge density of a conducting surface is proportional to the electric field on that surface due to Gauss's Law. We are trying to find the induced charge density from an external electric field perpendicular to a conducting spherical surface. An object is a sphere on which the external electric field is not uniform. The electric field is, therefore, considered locally. The localised spherical surface is a tangent plane, so the Gaussian surface is a very small cylinder, and every point on a spherical surface has its own cylinder. The electric field from a circular electrode has been calculated in near-field and far-field approximation and shown Explanation Touchless maneuvering space debris orbit properties. The electric charge density calculation from a near-field and far-field approximation is done. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=near-field%20approximation" title="near-field approximation">near-field approximation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=far-field%20approximation" title=" far-field approximation"> far-field approximation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=localized%20Gauss%E2%80%99s%20law" title=" localized Gauss’s law"> localized Gauss’s law</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electric%20charge%20density" title=" electric charge density"> electric charge density</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/150159/localising-gausss-law-and-the-electric-charge-induction-on-a-conducting-sphere" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/150159.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">132</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8294</span> Magnetic Field Generation in Inhomogeneous Plasma via Ponderomotive Force</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Fatemeh%20Shahi">Fatemeh Shahi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mehdi%20Sharifian"> Mehdi Sharifian</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Laia%20Shahrassai"> Laia Shahrassai</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Elham%20Eskandari%20A."> Elham Eskandari A.</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> A new mechanism is reported here for magnetic field generation in laser-plasma interaction by means of nonlinear ponderomotive force. The plasma considered here is unmagnetized inhomogeneous plasma with an exponentially decreasing profile. A damped periodic magnetic field with a relatively lower frequency is obtained using the ponderomotive force exerted on plasma electrons. Finally, with an electric field and by using Faraday’s law, the magnetic field profile in the plasma has been obtained. Because of the negative exponential density profile, the generated magnetic field is relatively slowly oscillating and damped through the plasma. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=magnetic%20field%20generation" title="magnetic field generation">magnetic field generation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=laser-plasma%20interaction" title=" laser-plasma interaction"> laser-plasma interaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ponderomotive%20force" title=" ponderomotive force"> ponderomotive force</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inhomogeneous%20plasma" title=" inhomogeneous plasma"> inhomogeneous plasma</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/134152/magnetic-field-generation-in-inhomogeneous-plasma-via-ponderomotive-force" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/134152.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">293</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8293</span> A Study of General Attacks on Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem over Prime Field and Binary Field</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tun%20Myat%20Aung">Tun Myat Aung</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ni%20Ni%20Hla"> Ni Ni Hla</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper begins by describing basic properties of finite field and elliptic curve cryptography over prime field and binary field. The traditional strategy is measuring the electric field with a man walking around in the area under test. This strategy cannot provide a satisfactory measurement accuracy. To solve the mentioned problem, an autopilot measurement system is divided. A mini-car is produced, which can travel in the area under test according to respect to the program within the CPU. The electric field measurement platform (EFMP) carries a central computer, two horn antennas, and a vector network analyzer. The mini-car stop at the sampling points according to the preset. When the car stops, the EFMP probes the electric field and stores data on the hard disk. After all the sampling points are traversed, an electric field map can be plotted. The proposed system can give an accurate field distribution description of the chamber. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=autopilot%20mini-car%20measurement%20system" title="autopilot mini-car measurement system">autopilot mini-car measurement system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electric%20field%20detection" title=" electric field detection"> electric field detection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=field%20map" title=" field map"> field map</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=static%20zone%20measurement" title=" static zone measurement"> static zone measurement</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/153711/an-autopilot-system-for-static-zone-detection" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/153711.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">101</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8290</span> FC and ZFC Studies of Nickel Nano Ferrites and Ni Doped Lithium Nano Ferrites by Citrate-Gel Auto Combustion Method</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=D.%20Ravinder">D. In the mean-field game approach, the motion of a human crowd is described by a nonstandard stochastic optimal control problem. It is nonstandard since congestion is considered, introduced through a dependence in the performance functional on the distribution of the crowd. This study extends the class of mean-field pedestrian crowd models to allow for non-local congestion and arbitrary, but finitely, many interacting crowds. The new congestion feature grants pedestrians a 'personal space' where crowding is undesirable. The model is treated as a mean-field type game which is derived from a particle picture. This, in contrast to a mean-field game, better describes a situation where the crowd can be controlled by a central planner. The latter is suitable for decentralized situations. Solutions to the mean-field type game are characterized via a Pontryagin-type Maximum Principle. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=congestion" title="congestion">congestion</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=crowd%20dynamics" title=" crowd dynamics"> crowd dynamics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interacting%20populations" title=" interacting populations"> interacting populations</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mean-field%20approximation" title=" mean-field approximation"> mean-field approximation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=optimal%20control" title=" optimal control"> optimal control</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61485/mean-field-type-modeling-of-non-local-congestion-in-pedestrian-crowd-dynamics" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61485.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">445</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8286</span> DBN-Based Face Recognition System Using Light Field</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bing%20Gu">Bing Gu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Abstract—Most of Conventional facial recognition systems are based on image features, such as LBP, SIFT. We obtained ananalytic expression for the AME field in the RQWIP in the presence of the EMF. The dependence of AME field on the frequency of external acoustic wave, the temperature T of system, the cyclotron frequency of the EMF and the intensity of the EMF is obtained. Theoretical results for the AME field are numerically evaluated, plotted and discussed for a specific RQWIP GaAs/GaAsAl. This result has shown that the dependence of the AME field on intensity of the EMF is nonlinearly and it is many distinct maxima in the quantized magnetic region. We also compared received fields with those for normal bulk semiconductors, quantum well and quantum wire to show the difference. The influence of an EMF on AME field in a RQWIP is newly developed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rectangular%20quantum%20wire" title="rectangular quantum wire">rectangular quantum wire</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=acoustomagnetoelectric%20field" title=" acoustomagnetoelectric field"> acoustomagnetoelectric field</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electron-phonon%20interaction" title=" electron-phonon interaction"> electron-phonon interaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=kinetic%20equation%20method" title=" kinetic equation method"> kinetic equation method</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41446/influence-of-an-external-magnetic-field-on-the-acoustomagnetoelectric-field-in-a-rectangular-quantum-wire-with-an-infinite-potential-by-using-a-quantum-kinetic-equation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/41446.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">336</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8284</span> Nonlinear Pollution Modelling for Polymeric Outdoor Insulator</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rahisham%20Abd%20Rahman">Rahisham Abd Rahman</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, a nonlinear pollution model has been proposed to compute electric field distribution over the polymeric insulator surface under wet contaminated conditions. In particular, the usual rules of associativity, commutativity and distributivity hold. Fields also appear in many other areas of mathematics; see the examples below. When abstract algebra was first being developed, the definition of a field usually did not include commutativity of multiplication, and what we today call a field would have been called either a commutative field or a rational domain. In contemporary usage, a field is always commutative. A structure which satisfies all the properties of a field except possibly for commutativity, is today called a division ring ordivision algebra or sometimes a skew field. Also non-commutative field is still widely used. In French, fields are called corps (literally, body), generally regardless of their commutativity. When necessary, a (commutative) field is called corps commutative and a skew field-corps gauche. The German word for body is Körper and this word is used to denote fields; hence the use of the blackboard bold to denote a field. The concept of fields was first (implicitly) used to prove that there is no general formula expressing in terms of radicals the roots of a polynomial with rational coefficients of degree 5 or higher. An extension of a field k is just a field K containing k as a subfield. One distinguishes between extensions having various qualities. For example, an extension K of a field k is called algebraic, if every element of K is a root of some polynomial with coefficients in k. Otherwise, the extension is called transcendental. The aim of Galois Theory is the study of algebraic extensions of a field. Given a field k, various kinds of closures of k may be introduced. For example, the algebraic closure, the separable closure, the cyclic closure et cetera. The idea is always the same: If P is a property of fields, then a P-closure of k is a field K containing k, having property, and which is minimal in the sense that no proper subfield of K that contains k has property P. For example if we take P (K) to be the property ‘every non-constant polynomial f in K[t] has a root in K’, then a P-closure of k is just an algebraic closure of k. In general, if P-closures exist for some property P and field k, they are all isomorphic. However, there is in general no preferable isomorphism between two closures. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=field%20theory" title="field theory">field theory</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mechanic%20maths" title=" mechanic maths"> mechanic maths</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=supertech" title=" supertech"> supertech</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rolltech" title=" rolltech"> rolltech</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/6116/extension-and-closure-of-a-field-for-engineering-purpose" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/6116.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">373</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8280</span> Evaluation of Hydrocarbon Prospects of &#039;ADE&#039; Field, Niger Delta </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Oluseun%20A.%20Sanuade">Oluseun A. The field is located in the offshore Niger Delta where water depth ranges from 450 to 800 m. The objectives of this study are to explore deeper prospects and to ascertain the kind of traps that are favorable for the accumulation of hydrocarbon in the field. Six horizons with major and minor faults were identified and mapped in the field. Time structure maps of these horizons were generated and using the available check-shot data the maps were converted to top structure maps which were used to calculate the hydrocarbon volume. The results show that regional structural highs that are trending in northeast-southwest (NE-SW) characterized a large portion of the field. These highs were observed across all horizons revealing a regional post-depositional deformation. Three prospects were identified and evaluated to understand the different opportunities in the field. These include stratigraphic pinch out and bi-directional downlap. The results of this study show that the field has potentials for new opportunities that could be explored for further studies. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hydrocarbon" title="hydrocarbon">hydrocarbon</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=play" title=" play"> play</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=prospect" title=" prospect"> prospect</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stratigraphy" title=" stratigraphy"> stratigraphy</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/86819/evaluation-of-hydrocarbon-prospects-of-ade-field-niger-delta" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/86819.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">269</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8279</span> A Case Study on the Field Surveys and Repair of a Marine Approach-Bridge</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=S.%20H.%20Park">S. Numerical solution of governing equations was obtained by using the single-phase model and control volume technique for flow field. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=LDL%20surface%20concentration%20%28LSC%29" title="LDL surface concentration (LSC)">LDL surface concentration (LSC)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=magnetic%20field" title=" magnetic field"> magnetic field</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=computational%20fluid%20dynamics" title=" computational fluid dynamics"> computational fluid dynamics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=porous%20wall" title=" porous wall"> porous wall</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/38292/a-numerical-simulation-of-arterial-mass-transport-in-presence-of-magnetic-field-links-to-atherosclerosis" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/38292.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">408</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8277</span> Mass Transfer in Reactor with Magnetic Field Generator</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tomasz%20Borowski">Tomasz Borowski</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dawid%20So%C5%82oducha"> Dawid Sołoducha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rafa%C5%82%20Rakoczy"> Rafał Rakoczy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Marian%20Kordas"> Marian Kordas</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The growing interest in magnetic fields applications is visible due to the increased number of articles on this topic published in the last few years. In this study, the influence of various magnetic fields (MF) on the mass transfer process was examined. To carry out the prototype set-up equipped with an MF generator that is able to generate a pulsed magnetic field (PMF), oscillating magnetic field (OMF), rotating magnetic field (RMF) and static magnetic field (SMF) was used. To demonstrate the effect of MF’s on mass transfer, the calcium carbonate precipitation process was selected. To the vessel with attached conductometric probes and placed inside the generator, specific doses of calcium chloride and sodium carbonate were added. Electrical conductivity changes of the mixture inside the vessel were measured over time until equilibrium was established. Measurements were conducted for various MF strengths and concentrations of added chemical compounds. Obtained results were analyzed, which allowed to creation of mathematical correlation models showing the influence of MF’s on the studied process. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mass%20transfer" title="mass transfer">mass transfer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=oscillating%20magnetic%20field" title=" oscillating magnetic field"> oscillating magnetic field</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rotating%20magnetic%20field" title=" rotating magnetic field"> rotating magnetic field</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=static%20magnetic%20field" title=" static magnetic field"> static magnetic field</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/140936/mass-transfer-in-reactor-with-magnetic-field-generator" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/140936.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">206</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8276</span> The Effect of Extremely Low Frequency Magnetic Field on Rats Brain</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Omar%20Abdalla">Omar Abdalla</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abdelfatah%20Ahmed"> Abdelfatah Ahmed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ahmed%20Mustafa"> Ahmed Mustafa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Abdelazem%20Eldouma"> Abdelazem Eldouma</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purpose of this study is evaluating the effect of extremely low frequency magnetic field on Waster rats brain. The number of rats used in this study were 25, which were divided into five groups, each group containing five rats as follows: Group 1: The control group which was not exposed to energized field; Group 2: Rats were exposed to a magnetic field with an intensity of 0.6 mT (2 hours/day); Group 3: Rats were exposed to a magnetic field of 1.2 mT (2 hours/day); Group4: Rats were exposed to a magnetic field of 1.8 mT (2 hours/day); Group 5: Rats were exposed to a magnetic field of 2.4 mT (2 hours/day) and all groups were exposed for seven days, by designing a maze and calculating the time average for arriving to the decoy at special conditions. We found the time average before exposure for the all groups was G2=330 s, G3=172 s, G4=500 s and G5=174 s, respectively. We exposed all groups to ELF-MF and measured the time and we found: G2=465 s, G3=388 s, G4=501 s, and G5=442 s. It was observed that the time average increased directly with field strength. Histological samples of frontal lop of brain for all groups were taken and we found lesion, atrophy, empty vacuoles and disorder choroid plexus at frontal lope of brain. And finally we observed the disorder of choroid plexus in histological results and Alzheimer's symptoms increase when the magnetic field increases. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nonionizing%20radiation" title="nonionizing radiation">nonionizing radiation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=biophysics" title=" biophysics"> biophysics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=magnetic%20field" title=" magnetic field"> magnetic field</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=shrinkage" title=" shrinkage"> shrinkage</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/6126/the-effect-of-extremely-low-frequency-magnetic-field-on-rats-brain" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/6126.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">545</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8275</span> Numerical Investigation of Hybrid Ferrofluid Unsteady Flow through Porous Channel</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Wajahat%20Hussain%20Khan">Wajahat Hussain Khan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=M.%20Zubair%20Akbar%20Qureshi"> M. As in numerous real-time sensing fields the sensor nodes on the corners i.e. on the segment boundaries will become lifeless early because no extraordinary safety is presented for them. Accordingly, in this research work the central objective is on the segment based optimization by separating the sensor field between advance and normal segments. The inspiration at the back this sensor field optimization is to extend the time spam when the first sensor node dies. For the reason that in normal sensor nodes which were exist on the borders may become lifeless early because the space among them and the base station is more so they consume more power so at last will become lifeless soon. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=WSNs" title="WSNs">WSNs</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ECRSEP" title=" ECRSEP"> ECRSEP</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SEP" title=" SEP"> SEP</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=field%20optimization" title=" field optimization"> field optimization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=energy" title=" energy"> energy</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15452/sfo-ecrsep-sensor-field-optimization-based-ecrsep-for-heterogeneous-wsns" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/15452.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">300</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8273</span> Localization of Near Field Radio Controlled Unintended Emitting Sources </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nurbanu%20Guzey">Nurbanu Guzey</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=S.%20Jagannathan"> S. Weak nature of these emissions requires near field localization approach since it is hard to detect these signals in far field region of array. Instead of only angle estimation, near field localization also requires range estimation of the source which makes this method more complicated than far field models. Challenges of locating such devices in a near field region and real time environment are analyzed in this paper. An ESPRIT like near field localization scheme is utilized for both angle and range estimation. 1-D search with symmetric subarrays is provided. Two 7 element uniform linear antenna arrays (ULA) are employed for locating RC source. As large as 400% planar Hall voltage change was observed for a magnetic field sweep within ±4 Oe, a value comparable with present day TMR sensors at room temperature. A very large planar Hall sensitivity of 1200 Ω/T was measured close to switching fields, which was not obtained so far apart from 2DEG Hall sensors. The real data of Jin Gas Field of L-Basin of Pakistan is used. The basic concept behind this work is to enlighten the importance of well test analysis in a broader way (i.e. reservoir characterization and field development) unlike to just determine the permeability and skin parameters. Normally in the case of reservoir characterization we rely on well test analysis to some extent but for field development plan, the well test analysis has become a forgotten tool specifically for locations of new development wells. This paper describes the successful implementation of well test analysis in Jin Gas Field where the main uncertainties are identified during initial stage of field development when location of new development well was marked only on the basis of G&amp;G (Geologic and Geophysical) data. The seismic interpretation could not encounter one of the boundary (fault, sub-seismic fault, heterogeneity) near the main and only producing well of Jin Gas Field whereas the results of the model from the well test analysis played a very crucial rule in order to propose the location of second well of the newly discovered field. The results from different methods of well test analysis of Jin Gas Field are also integrated with and supported by other tools of Reservoir Engineering i.e. Material Balance Method and Volumetric Method. In this way, a comprehensive way out and algorithm is obtained in order to integrate the well test analyses with Geological and Geophysical analyses for reservoir characterization and field development. On the strong basis of this working and algorithm, it was successfully evaluated that the proposed location of new development well was not justified and it must be somewhere else except South direction. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=field%20development%20plan" title="field development plan">field development plan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reservoir%20characterization" title=" reservoir characterization"> reservoir characterization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=reservoir%20engineering" title=" reservoir engineering"> reservoir engineering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=well%20test%20analysis" title=" well test analysis"> well test analysis</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/56927/combination-of-geological-geophysical-and-reservoir-engineering-analyses-in-field-development-a-case-study" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/56927.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">364</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8269</span> Comparison of FASTMAP and B0 Field Map Shimming for 4T MRI</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mohan%20L.%20Jayatiake">Mohan L. However, local susceptibility variations can lead to field inhomogeneities that cause artifacts such as image distortion and signal loss. The effects of local susceptibility variation notoriously increase with magnetic field strength. Active shimming improves homogeneity by applying corrective fields generated from shim coils, but requires calculation of optimal current for each shim coil. FASTMAP (fast automatic shimming technique by mapping along projections) is an effective technique for finding optimal currents works well at high-field, but is restricted to shimming spherical regions of interest. The 3D gradient-echo pulse sequence was modified to reduce sensitivity to eddy currents and used to obtain susceptibility field maps at 4T. Measured fields were projected onto first-and second-order spherical harmonic functions corresponding to shim hardware. A spherical phantom was used to calibrate the shim currents. Susceptibility maps of a volunteer’s brain with and without FASTMAP shimming were obtained. Simulations indicate that optimal shim currents derived from the field map may provide better overall shimming of the human brain. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=shimming" title="shimming">shimming</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=high-field" title=" high-field"> high-field</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=active" title=" active"> active</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=passive" title=" passive"> passive</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/33673/comparison-of-fastmap-and-b0-field-map-shimming-for-4t-mri" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/33673.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">510</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8268</span> An Investigation on Electric Field Distribution around 380 kV Transmission Line for Various Pylon Models</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=C.%20F.%20Kumru">C.
