avoid<MG665> <i>such people as</i> these<MG3778>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/3-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>For among<MG1537> them are those<MG3588> who <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>slip<MG1744> into households<MG3614> and captivate<MG163> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>weak<MG1133> women<MG1133> weighed<MG4987> down<MG4987> with sins<MG266>, led<MG71> on by various<MG4164> impulses<MG1939>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/3-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>always<MG3842> learning<MG3129> and never<MG3368> able<MG1410> to come<MG2064> to the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>knowledge<MG1922> of the truth<MG225>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/3-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Just<MG3739> as Jannes<MG2389> and Jambres<MG2387> opposed<MG436> Moses<MG3475>, so<MG3779> these<MG3778> men<MG3778> also<MG2532> oppose<MG436> the truth<MG225>, men<MG444> of depraved<MG2704> mind<MG3563>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>worthless<MG96b> in<MG4012> regard<MG4012> to<MG4012> the faith<MG4102>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/3-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>But they will not make<MG4298> further<MG1909, 4183> progress<MG4298>; for their foolishness<MG454> will be obvious<MG1552> to all<MG3956>, just<MG2532> as was that also<MG2532> of <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>Jannes and Jambres. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/3-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> you followed<MG3877> my teaching<MG1319>, conduct<MG72>, purpose<MG4286>, faith<MG4102>, patience<MG3115>, love<MG26>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>perseverance<MG5281>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/2_timothy/3-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>persecutions<MG1375>, <i>and</i> sufferings<MG3804>, such<MG3634> as happened<MG1096> to me at Antioch<MG490>, at Iconium<MG2430>, <i>and</i> at Lystra<MG3082>;
