because I found the piece which I lost!'<Fr> <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span><FR>So, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repents."<Fr><p> <A name="12"></a><p class="hdg">The Parable of the Prodigal Son<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And He said, <FR>"A certain man had two sons.<Fr> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><FR>And the younger said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of the estate that falls to me.' And he divided to them his living.<Fr> <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span><FR>And, not many days after, gathering all things together, the younger son went abroad into a far country, and there wasted his estate, living riotously.<Fr> <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span><FR>And, when he spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want.<Fr> <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span><FR>And, going his way, he attached himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.<Fr> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span><FR>And he was longing to be filled with the pods which the swine were eating; and no one was giving to him.<Fr> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span><FR>But, coming to himself, he said, 'How many hired servants of my father have a superabundance of bread, and I am perishing here with hunger!<Fr> <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><FR>Arising, I will go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I sinned against Heaven, and before you;<Fr> <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span><FR>I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants.'<Fr> <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span><FR>And, arising, he came to his father. But, while he was yet afar off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion; and, running, he fell on his neck, and kissed him much.<Fr> <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><FR>And the son said to the father, 'Father, I sinned against Heaven, and before you; no longer am I worthy to be called your son!'<Fr> <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span><FR>But the father said to his servants, 'Quickly bring forth a robe, the best, and put <i>it</i> on him; and put a ring on his hand, and sandals on his feet;<Fr> <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><FR>and bring ye the fatted calf, kill <i>it</i>; and, eating, let us be merry;<Fr> <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/15-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><FR>because this my son was dead, and came to life again; had been lost, and was found.'
