This policy outlines the program administered through the Wynn Resorts Foundation. </p> <p style="text-align:justify"> For a list of schools that qualify to receive the Wynn Resorts Foundation Scholarship please visit: <a href="https://nshe.nevada.edu/our-institutions/" target="_blank">Nevada Schools</a> or <a href="https://www.mass.edu/system/campusdirectory.asp" target="_blank">Massachusetts Schools</a>. </p> <div> </div> <h2> PROCEDURE </h2> <ul> <li style="margin-right:6.9pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">The Wynn Resorts Foundation Scholarship Program accepts applications during the 2<span style="position:relative"><span style="top:-4.0pt">nd </span></span>quarter of each year. Applications are open for a minimum of 14 days.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.55pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">The Wynn </span>Resorts <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Foundation will award up to 12 scholarships to Wynn Las Vegas employees or dependents<span style="position:relative"><span style="top:-4.0pt"> </span></span>of employees and up to 3 scholarships to Encore Boston Harbor employees or dependents<span style="position:relative"><span style="top:-4.0pt"> </span></span>of employees. The number of scholarships awarded is subject to change at the discretion of the Wynn </span>Resorts <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Foundation Board of Directors.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.5pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Scholarship recipients are awarded up to $7,500 per academic year. The scholarship will provide financial assistance for tuition, fees, books, e-books, and online platform subscriptions that are required per the class syllabus. A scholarship award may not be used for room and board. The award amounts are at the discretion of the Wynn </span>Resorts <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Foundation Board of Directors.</span> </li> <li align="left" style="margin-top:.1pt; margin-right:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; text-align:left; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">A scholarship is awarded up to a maximum of four academic years.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:0in; margin-right:7.1pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Applicants must be high school seniors, current college students, or other individuals planning to enroll in a Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) institution or in a Massachusetts Department of Higher Education (MDHE) public campus.</span> </li> <li style="margin-right:6.85pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">An eligible Wynn employee must have completed one year of employment as of January 1<span style="position:relative"><span style="top:-4.0pt">st </span></span>of the year in which the scholarship will be awarded and have worked an average of 20 hours a week during that year.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:1.35pt; margin-right:6.6pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Applicants must complete a standard scholarship application form. Incomplete applications will not be considered.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:1.45pt; margin-right:6.75pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Applications include an essay not to exceed three typewritten single-spaced pages. The topic of the essay will be available on the scholarship application.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:1.45pt; margin-right:6.75pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Applicants must be enrolled, or have applied to, an eligible NSHE or MDHE institution by July 15th</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.1in; margin-right:6.8pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Applications will be reviewed by the Wynn or Encore Boston Harbor employee advisory council (each an “Employee Advisory Council”).</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:1.55pt; margin-right:6.9pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">The applicable Employee Advisory Council and/or an independent selection committee may interview applicants as part of its review.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:1.45pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">The applicable Employee Advisory Council makes recommendations to the independent committee who have the final authority to make awards.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:1.45pt; margin-right:6.8pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">A scholarship award may be terminated at the discretion of the Wynn Employee Foundation Board of Directors.</span> </li> <li style="margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Scholarships are disbursed to the NSHE institution or MDHE public campus where the recipient is enrolled. The institution or public campus will apply the award in accordance with its policies and procedures.</span> </li> </ul> <div> <div id="ftn1"> <p class="MsoFootnoteText" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt"> </p> </div> </div> <h2> RESPONSIBILITIES </h2> <div class="WordSection1"> <ul style="list-style-type:square"> <li style="margin-top:.65pt; margin-right:6.8pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">An eligible employee – whether applying for themselves or on behalf of a dependent – must be an active employee and not have active written discipline at the time of application.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.45pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Wynn employees awarded a scholarship must enroll in a minimum of six (6) credits in both the Fall and Spring Semesters of the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded.<span style="letter-spacing:.05pt"> A one-year extension is permitted (not additional dollars) for students unable to register for the required credit minimum due to prerequisites. </span>Remaining Scholarship funds from Fall and Spring semesters may be used for Winter or Summer semester courses.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.6pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">The dependent of a Wynn employee who is awarded a scholarship must enroll in a minimum of twelve (12) credits in both the Fall and Spring Semesters of the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded. Scholarship funds may be used towards summer classes if recipient has funding available.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.6pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">A Wynn employee or a dependent of a Wynn employee who is awarded a scholarship and is pursuing a graduate school degree, or a specialized program must enroll in a minimum of six (6) credits in both the Fall and Spring Semesters of the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:1.4pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Scholarship recipients are required to notify the Wynn Resorts Foundation of any dropped or audited courses.</span> </li> <li style="margin-right:6.75pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Exceptions to the minimum credit requirement set forth above will be evaluated by the Wynn </span>Resorts <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Foundation Board of Directors on a case-by-case basis (i.e., if scholarship recipient requires less than twelve (12) credits to graduate).</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:1.3pt; margin-right:6.8pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Current scholarship recipients are not eligible for Wynn’s tuition reimbursement program.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.85pt; margin-right:6.6pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">To be eligible to apply in subsequent years current scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the conclusion of the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.65pt; margin-right:6.65pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Transcript showing grades for all classes taken in Fall and Spring semesters must be provided to the Wynn </span>Resorts <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">Foundation no later than four (4) weeks following the conclusion of the academic year.</span> </li> <li style="margin-top:.1in; margin-right:6.65pt; margin-bottom:.0001pt; margin:0.8pt 6.7pt 0in 43pt; text-align:justify"> <span style="tab-stops:43.05pt">All scholarship recipients must log a minimum of twenty (20) volunteer hours during each academic calendar year during which the scholarship is awarded. The deadline to log volunteer hours is July 15<sup>th</sup> to maintain scholarship eligibility.
