All animals need a way to excrete this product. Urea produced by the liver is then released into the <a href="/wiki/Circulatory_system" title="Circulatory system">bloodstream</a>, where it travels to the <a href="/wiki/Kidney" title="Kidney">kidneys</a> and is ultimately excreted in <a href="/wiki/Urine" title="Urine">urine</a>.
