size="3"><strong>Tianshan park looking for Korean funds</strong></font> <br><br>SEOUL - South Korean firms will participate in a construction project for China's largest high-tech industrial complex in Hebei province, according to an announcement on Wednesday by Tianshan Industrial Co Ltd, which is in charge of the first stage of the project. <br><br> The company said it is luring foreign capital for the complex in Seokgaijiang, 280 kilometers southwest of Beijing, and will form a consortium with Korean companies. The complex, named the Tianshan Science & Technology Industrial Park, will cover a total area of 660,000 square meters and be completed by 2005. <br><br>In the first phase, the Hebei provincial government said it would construct 10 factory compounds and 10 apartment complexes in a 237,600-square-meter site, spending 420 million yuan. It will raise half of the funds from foreign capital. <br><br>The Chinese corporation chose the Asia Economic Research Center as its Korean agent to induce local businesses to provide their advanced technology and capital.
