My definition of a good cricket wicket is that for a Test match on the first day, if you are a genuinely quick bowler and you're prepared to try hard, you'll get some assistance," Dyson said following the team's arrival in Barbados. </p> <p>"You'll get some bounce, you'll get some pace, you might even get a little bit of seam. That will flatten out for days two and three and be a good batting wicket. Day four, it might start to spin, and day five, who knows, it might spin a lot. It might help the medium-pacers if it cracks a bit. </p> <p>"On wickets like that, all the skills get a chance. In Antigua there was no help for pace from the start." </p> <p> </p> <p>Placid pitch </p> <p> </p> <p>West Indies, trailing 1-0 in the series after losing the opening match in Jamaica, are preparing for the final Test of the series against Australia, starting next Thursday. </p> <p>The second Test, played at the <b>Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium</b> in Antigua, finished in a draw and the pitch drew plenty criticism for its placid nature. </p> <p>"On that wicket in Antigua, it was very, very flat and there was nothing in it for pace bowlers from ball one, so we expected a big score. The likely result of that match from the start was going to be a draw," Dyson contended. </p> <p>"I thought the Jamaica wicket was actually pretty good, it was a little slower than I thought it might be. The one in Antigua, there was just nothing in it for the pace bowlers. I was surprised by that. I like cricket wickets that have got something in it for all skills at some stage of the game."
