Will he speak soft words to you?</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>Will he make a covenant with you? Will you take him for a servant forever?</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>Will you play with him as with a bird? Shall they divide him among the merchants?</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Can you fill his skin with barbed irons, or his head with fishing spears?</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>Lay your hand on him, think of the battle; you will never do it again.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Behold, your expectation is vain; will you be laid low even at the sight of him?</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>None<i> is so</i> fierce as to dare to stir him up; who then <i>is</i> able to stand before Me?</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>Who has gone before Me that I should repay <i>him</i>? All that <i>is</i> in the heavens is Mine.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>I will not keep silent <i>concerning</i> <i>his</i> limbs, or <i>his</i> mighty strength, or the grace of his frame.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Who can strip off his outer armor? Who can penetrate within his double jaws?</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>Who can open the doors to his face, with his terrible teeth all around?</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>The rows of scales <i>are</i> his pride, shut up with a closed seal;</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>One is so near to another that no air can come between them;</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>They are joined one to another, they stick together so that they cannot be separated.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>His sneezings flash forth light, and his eyes <i>are</i> like the eyelids of the dawn.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Out of his mouth go burning torches, sparks of fire leap out.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Out of his nostrils goes smoke, as <i>out</i> of a boiling pot <i>fired</i> by reeds.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>His breath kindles coals, and a flame goes out of his mouth.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>In his neck resides strength, and terror dances before him.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>The folds of his flesh are joined together, cast firm upon him; they cannot be moved.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>His heart is cast hard as a stone, even cast hard as the lower millstone.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>The mighty are afraid when he raises himself up; they are beside themselves because of his crashing.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>If the sword is thrust at him, it will not hold firm, nor the spear, the dart, and the javelin.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>He esteems iron as straw, bronze as rotten wood.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>An arrow cannot make him flee; sling-stones are turned by him into stubble.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>Clubs are counted as stubble; he laughs at the shaking of a javelin.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>Sharpest potsherds line his belly; he spreads himself like a threshing sledge.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>He makes the deep boil like a pot; he makes the sea like a seething mixture.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>Behind him he leaves a shining wake; one would think the deep abyss <i>to</i> <i> be</i> gray-headed.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>On earth there is nothing like him, who is made to be fearless.</p> <p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/job/41-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span>He beholds every thing that <i>is</i> high;
