Their age ranged from 25-45 years with a mean age of 35 years. A modified instrument tagged Teachers ICT use survey adapted from ICT survey indicator for teachers and staff by UNESCO (2004) and ICT Teachers Survey by New Zealand Ministry of Education MINEDU (1999) were used for the collection of data. The results showed that teachers generally have access to ICTs in their various schools except e-mail and Internet because their schools are not connected. Technical support are lacking in the schools and teachers lack of expertise in using ICT was indicated as being the prominent factors hindering teachers readiness and confidence of using ICTs during lesson. Furthermore, the results show that teachers perceived ICT as being easier and very useful in teaching and learning. For continuous uses of ICTs by teachers, it was recommended among others that teacher training and professional development oriented policies should support ICT-related teaching models that encourage both students and teachers to play an active role in teaching/learning activities. A lot of work had been done on attitudes of teachers but little is known about teachers' perspectives of using ICT in schools. This paper therefore, draws on the teachers' perspectives survey of secondary schools in Ede South local Government area, Nigeria on ICT use. The study was designed to investigate the public secondary schools teachers' knowledge of ICT, the types of ICT available to teachers, the ICT skills possessed by the teachers and the attitudes of teachers towards ICT use. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population of the study covered the 133 teachers in senior secondary schools of the local government. A well self-designed questionnaire with r value of 0.843 was developed to collect data. Descriptive analysis of frequency count distribution and mean score were used to answer the research questions raised. The results showed that many of the teachers have idea and knowledge of what ICT is but not many of them can use it effectively. It was also discovered that most of the teachers need to upgrade their knowledge on ICT use and skilled-based application. Teachers also showed positive attitudes towards the use of ICT in enhancing teaching and learning. Electronic devices and softwares which aid the spread of information constitute ICT. These devices have impacted positively in education through lesson preparation, instructional delivery, individualized instruction, and collaborative learning. Despite the positive roles of ICT in education, there is paucity of information on its use by secondary school computer teachers and students in Nigeria. The study was thus designed to assess ICT usage among secondary school computer teachers and students in Nsukka Education Zone. The study population consisted of 51 computer teachers and 4242 students while the sample size comprised of 51computer teachers and 520 students. A survey research design was adopted for the study. Data was collected using an instrument titled 'ICT Usage Assessment Questionnaire' validated by three experts in computer education. Data were presented as frequencies and percentages. The results of the study showed that ICT was not used effectively in lesson preparation, instructional delivery, individualized learning and collaborative learning of computer studies in public secondary schools in the Zone. The Government of Ghana acknowledges the relevance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education, and it is financing ICT in secondary schools. However, most instructors are unwilling to integrate ICT into their teaching. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the factors that influence secondary school teachers' ICT usage in schools. The participants were 376 teachers randomly selected from 24 public and private schools. The data collected from the participants were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and analysis of variance. The results showed that teachers' use of ICT was still confined to basic and traditional activities such as search for information, class presentation etc. Internal and external factors were found to influence teachers' ICT usage. Also, female teachers reported that they use ICT more than male teachers. Questionnaires were distributed to 273 teachers in different departments, 241 were returned, and 231 were valid for data analysis, representing a response rate of 85%. The validity of the questionnaire was approved by a panel of experts in the field. The Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was 0.91. Descriptive statistics and correlation were used to analyze data. Of the 231 teachers, 66% were males and 34% were females. Majority of the respondents were between the ages 30-39. The correlation analysis revealed positive correlation between ICT use and teachers' competences. Further, teachers' perceptions in terms of using ICT were found to be positive but not statistically significant. Finally, the study revealed inverse correlations among ICT use, age, and teaching experience. The descriptive results indicated that teachers' knowledge in basic ICT applications as well as integrating ICT into teaching and learning processes was low. These results provide evidence that the introduction of ICT in teaching and learning has not brought any change in the delivery of education in second-cycle schools in Ghana. This also implies that teachers have not shifted from teacher-centered instruction to student-centered learning. All junior secondary schools teachers and students were randomly selected as sample for the study. In all a total of 14369 junior Secondary School Teachers and Students participated in this study. The instruments used for data collection are Teachers Attitude towards ICT Questionnaire (TAQ) and Teachers-Students ICT perception and usage Questionnaire (TSIPUQ). The data obtained for the study were analyzed using T-test statistical analysis to test the four (4) hypotheses generated for the study at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that; there is a significant difference between teachers attitude and the level of ICT usage in teaching and learning process, there is a significant difference between male and female teachers attitude towards the use of ICT in teaching and learning process, there is a significant difference between the level of ICT usage between Rural and Urban teachers in teaching and learning process. A structured questionnaire was used to examine the availability of ICT tools, teachers' pedagogical knowledge on the utilization of ICT tools, and the frequency of utilization of ICT tools for teaching. In total, 273 out of 333 teachers responded to the questionnaire. Three research questions were raised and answered. Standard deviation and mean scores statistical measures were used to answer research questions1-3.The study revealed that most ICT tools were not available for teaching; the few available ones are not frequently used; while teachers had low pedagogical knowledge of the use ICT tools for teaching. Based on the findings, it was recommended that government and non-governmental organisations should endeavour to procure and distribute relevant Information and Communication Technologies to schools for effective teaching and learning purposes. Also, educational administrators should provide enabling environments within the school setting to aid frequent use of ICT for instruction.
