Its been a custom for decades to provide a separate panel for on load tap changer control for monitoring the tap position. However this facility cannot either record or transfer the information to remote control centers. As there is a technology shift towards the smart grid protection and control standards, the need for implementing remote control and monitoring has necessitated the implementation of this feature in numerical relays. This paper deals with the programming, settings and logic implementation which is applicable to both IEC 61850 compatible and non-compatible IEDs thereby eliminating the need for separate tap changer control equipment. The monitoring mechanism has been implemented in a 28MVA, 110 /6.9kV transformer with 16 tap position with GE make T60 IED at Ultratech cement limited Gulbarga, Karnataka and is in successful service. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=transformer%20protection" title="transformer protection">transformer protection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=tap%20changer%20control" title=" tap changer control"> tap changer control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=tap%20position%20monitoring" title=" tap position monitoring"> tap position monitoring</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=on%20load%20tap%20changer" title=" on load tap changer"> on load tap changer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligent%20electronic%20device%20%28IED%29" title=" intelligent electronic device (IED)"> intelligent electronic device (IED)</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/34115/smart-monitoring-and-control-of-tap-changer-using-intelligent-electronic-device" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/34115.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">594</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4263</span> Facts of Near Field Communication</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Amin%20Hamrahi">Amin Hamrahi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Near Field Communication (NFC) is one of the latest wireless communication technologies. Despite the development of congestion pricing schemes for traffic in our country, the matters of traditional toll collection, drivers’ waste of time and delay in traffic are still widespread. Electronic toll collection as a part of the intelligent transportation system provides the possibility of collecting tolls without car-stop and traffic disruption. Unlike the satisfying outcomes of using intelligent systems in congestion pricing schemes, implementation costs and technological problems are the barriers in these schemes. In this research first, a variety of electronic pay toll systems and their components are introduced then their functional usage is discussed. In the following, by analyzing and comparing the barriers, limitations and advantages, the selection criteria of intelligent systems are described and the results show that the choice of the best technology depends on the various parameters which, by examining them, it is concluded that in a long-term run and by providing the necessary conditions, DSRC technology as the main system in the schemes and ANPR as a major backup system of the main one can be employed. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=congestion%20pricing" title="congestion pricing">congestion pricing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electronic%20toll%20collection" title=" electronic toll collection"> electronic toll collection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligent%20systems" title=" intelligent systems"> intelligent systems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=technology" title=" technology"> technology</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=traffic" title=" traffic"> traffic</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/93394/evaluation-of-the-efficiency-of-intelligent-systems-in-traffic-congestion-pricing-schemes-in-urban-streets" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/93394.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">610</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4261</span> Application of Intelligent City and Hierarchy Intelligent Buildings in Kuala Lumpur</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jalalludin%20Abdul%20Malek">Jalalludin Abdul Malek</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zurinah%20Tahir"> Zurinah Tahir </a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> When the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) was launched in 1995, it became the catalyst for the implementation of the intelligent city concept, an area that covers about 15 x 50 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The concept of intelligent city means that the city has an advanced infrastructure and infostructure such as information technology, advanced telecommunication systems, electronic technology and mechanical technology to be utilized for the development of urban elements such as industries, health, services, transportation and communications. For example, the Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur has also many intelligent buildings developed by the private sector such as the KLCC Tower to implement the intelligent city concept. Consequently, the intelligent buildings in the Golden Triangle can be linked directly to the Putrajaya Intelligent City and Cyberjaya Intelligent City within the confines of the MSC. However, the reality of the situation is that there are not many intelligent buildings within the Golden Triangle Kuala Lumpur scope which can be considered of high-standard intelligent buildings as referred to by the Intelligence Quotient (IQ) building standard. This increases the need to implement the real ‘intelligent city’ concept. This paper aims to show the strengths and weaknesses of the intelligent buildings in the Golden Triangle by taking into account aspects of 'intelligence' in the areas of technology and infrastructure of buildings. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligent%20city%20concepts" title="intelligent city concepts">intelligent city concepts</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligent%20building" title=" intelligent building"> intelligent building</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Golden%20Triangle" title=" Golden Triangle"> Golden Triangle</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kuala%20Lumpur" title=" Kuala Lumpur "> Kuala Lumpur </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/57007/application-of-intelligent-city-and-hierarchy-intelligent-buildings-in-kuala-lumpur" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/57007.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">297</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4260</span> Design and Construction of an Intelligent Multiplication Table for Enhanced Education and Increased Student Engagement</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Zahra%20Alikhani%20Koopaei">Zahra Alikhani Koopaei</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In the fifth lesson of the third-grade mathematics book, students are introduced to the concept of multiplication. However, some students showed a lack of interest in learning this topic. To address this, a simple electronic multiplication table was designed with the aim of making the concept of multiplication entertaining and engaging for students. It provides them with moments of excitement during the learning process. To achieve this goal, a device was created that produced a bell sound when two wire ends were connected. Each wire end was connected to a specific number in the multiplication table, and the other end was linked to the corresponding answer. Consequently, if the answer is correct, the bell will ring. This study employs interactive and engaging methods to teach mathematics, particularly to students who have previously shown little interest in the subject. By integrating game-based learning and critical thinking, we observed an increase in understanding and interest in learning multiplication compared to before using this method. This further motivated the students. As a result, the intelligent multiplication table was successfully designed. Students, under the instructor's supervision, could easily construct the device during the lesson. Through the implementation of these operations, the concept of multiplication was firmly established in the students' minds. Engaging multiple intelligences in each student enhances a more stable and improved understanding of the concept of multiplication. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligent%20multiplication%20table" title="intelligent multiplication table">intelligent multiplication table</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=design" title=" design"> design</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=construction" title=" construction"> construction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=education" title=" education"> education</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=increased%20interest" title=" increased interest"> increased interest</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=students" title=" students"> students</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/176502/design-and-construction-of-an-intelligent-multiplication-table-for-enhanced-education-and-increased-student-engagement" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/176502.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">69</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4259</span> Application of IED to Condition Based Maintenance of Medium Voltage GCB/VCB</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ming-Ta%20Yang">Ming-Ta Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jyh-Cherng%20Gu"> Jyh-Cherng Gu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Wei%20Huang"> Chun-Wei Huang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jin-Lung%20Guan"> Jin-Lung Guan</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Time base maintenance (TBM) is conventionally applied by the power utilities to maintain circuit breakers (CBs), transformers, bus bars and cables, which may result in under maintenance or over maintenance. As information and communication technology (ICT) industry develops, the maintenance policies of many power utilities have gradually changed from TBM to condition base maintenance (CBM) to improve system operating efficiency, operation cost and power supply reliability. This paper discusses the feasibility of using intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) to construct a CB CBM management platform. CBs in power substations can be monitored using IEDs with additional logic configuration and wire connections. The CB monitoring data can be sent through intranet to a control center and be analyzed and integrated by the Elipse Power Studio software. Finally, a human-machine interface (HMI) of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system can be designed to construct a CBM management platform to provide maintenance decision information for the maintenance personnel, management personnel and CB manufacturers. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=circuit%20breaker" title="circuit breaker">circuit breaker</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=condition%20base%20maintenance" title=" condition base maintenance"> condition base maintenance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligent%20electronic%20device" title=" intelligent electronic device"> intelligent electronic device</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=time%20base%20maintenance" title=" time base maintenance"> time base maintenance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SCADA" title=" SCADA"> SCADA</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/12921/application-of-ied-to-condition-based-maintenance-of-medium-voltage-gcbvcb" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/12921.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">329</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4258</span> Transformer Life Enhancement Using Dynamic Switching of Second Harmonic Feature in IEDs</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=K.%20N.%20Dinesh%20Babu">K. This current will be dominated by the presence of second harmonic, which in turn is used to segregate fault and inrush current, thus guaranteeing proper operation of the relay. This additional security in the relay sometimes obstructs or delays differential protection in a specific scenario, when the 2nd harmonic content was present during a genuine fault. This kind of scenario can result in isolation of the transformer by Buchholz and pressure release valve (PRV) protection, which is acted when fault creates more damage in transformer. Such delays involve a huge impact on the insulation failure, and chances of repairing or rectifying fault of problem at site become very dismal. Sometimes this delay can cause fire in the transformer, and this situation becomes havoc for a sub-station. Such occurrences have been observed in field also when differential relay operation was delayed by 10-15 ms by second harmonic blocking in some specific conditions. These incidences have led to the need for an alternative solution to eradicate such unwarranted delay in operation in future. Modern numerical relay, called as intelligent electronic device (IED), is embedded with advanced protection features which permit higher flexibility and better provisions for tuning of protection logic and settings. Such flexibility in transformer protection IEDs, enables incorporation of alternative methods such as dynamic switching of second harmonic feature for blocking the differential protection with additional security. The analysis and precautionary measures carried out in this case, have been simulated and discussed in this paper to ensure that similar solutions can be adopted to inhibit analogous issues in future. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=differential%20protection" title="differential protection">differential protection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligent%20electronic%20device%20%28IED%29" title=" intelligent electronic device (IED)"> intelligent electronic device (IED)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=2nd%20harmonic%20inhibit" title=" 2nd harmonic inhibit"> 2nd harmonic inhibit</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inrush%20inhibit" title=" inrush inhibit"> inrush inhibit</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61864/transformer-life-enhancement-using-dynamic-switching-of-second-harmonic-feature-in-ieds" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61864.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">300</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4257</span> Pathway Linking Early Use of Electronic Device and Psychosocial Wellbeing in Early Childhood</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rosa%20S.%20Wong">Rosa S. Various reports have highlighted the alarming usage of electronic devices at early ages and its long-term developmental consequences. More sedentary screen time was associated with increased adiposity, worse cognitive and motor development, and psychosocial health. Apart from the problems caused by children’s own screen time, parents today are often paying less attention to their children due to hand-held device. Some anecdotes suggest that distracted parenting has negative impact on parent-child relationship. This study examined whether distracted parenting detrimentally affected parent-child activities which may, in turn, impair children’s psychosocial health. In 2018/19, we recruited a cohort of preschoolers from 32 local kindergartens in Tin Shui Wai and Sham Shui Po for a 5-year programme aiming to build stronger foundations for children from disadvantaged backgrounds through an integrated support model involving medical, education and social service sectors. A comprehensive set of questionnaires were used to survey parents on their frequency of being distracted while parenting and their frequency of learning and recreational activities with children. Furthermore, they were asked to report children’s screen time amount and their psychosocial problems. Mediation analyses were performed to test the direct and indirect effects of electronic device-distracted parenting on children’s psychosocial problems. This study recruited 873 children (448 females and 425 males, average age: 3.42±0.35). Longer screen time was associated with more psychosocial difficulties (Adjusted B=0.37, 95%CI: 0.12 to 0.62, p=0.004). Children’s screen time positively correlated with electronic device-distracted parenting (r=0.369, p < 01). We also found that electronic device-distracted parenting was associated with more hyperactive/inattentive problems (Adjusted B=0.66, p < 0.01), fewer prosocial behavior (Adjusted B=-0.74, p < 0.01), and more emotional symptoms (Adjusted B=0.61, p < 0.001) in children. Further analyses showed that electronic device-distracted parenting exerted influences both directly and indirectly through parent-child interactions but to different extent depending upon the outcome under investigation (38.8% for hyperactivity/inattention, 31.3% for prosocial behavior, and 15.6% for emotional symptoms). We found that parents’ use of devices and children’s own screen time both have negative effects on children’s psychosocial health. It is important for parents to set “device-free times” each day so as to ensure enough relaxed downtime for connecting with children and responding to their needs. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=early%20childhood" title="early childhood">early childhood</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electronic%20device" title=" electronic device"> electronic device</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=psychosocial%20wellbeing" title=" psychosocial wellbeing"> psychosocial wellbeing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=parenting" title=" parenting "> parenting </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/112147/pathway-linking-early-use-of-electronic-device-and-psychosocial-wellbeing-in-early-childhood" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/112147.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">164</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4256</span> Applying Wavelet Transform to Ferroresonance Detection and Protection</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Chun-Wei%20Huang">Chun-Wei Huang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jyh-Cherng%20Gu"> Jyh-Cherng Gu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ming-Ta%20Yang"> Ming-Ta Yang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Non-synchronous breakage or line failure in power systems with light or no loads can lead to core saturation in transformers or potential transformers. An intelligent watch-over system for such elderly people, using a Raspberry Pi IoT device, has been newly developed to monitor those who live or stay separately from their families and alert them if a problem occurs. The system consists of motion sensors and temperature-humidity combined sensors that are located at seven points within an elderly person's home. The intelligent algorithms of the system detect signs and the possibility of unhealthy situations arising for the elderly relative; e.g., an unusually long bathing time, or a visit to a restroom, too high a room temperature, etc., by using data cached by the sensors above, at seven points within their house. The system gives more consideration to the elderly person's privacy, by using the sensors above, instead of using cameras and microphones placed around the house. The system invented and described here, can send a Twitter direct message to designated family members when an elderly relative is possibly in an unhealthy condition. Thus the system helps decrease family members' anxieties regarding their elderly relatives and increases their sense of security. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=elderly%20person" title="elderly person">elderly person</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=IoT%20device" title=" IoT device"> IoT device</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Raspberry%20Pi" title=" Raspberry Pi"> Raspberry Pi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=watch-over%20system" title=" watch-over system"> watch-over system</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/83092/an-intelligent-watch-over-system-using-an-iot-device-for-elderly-people-living-by-themselves" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/83092.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">223</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4254</span> OSEME: A Smart Learning Environment for Music Education</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Konstantinos%20Sofianos">Konstantinos Sofianos</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Michael%20Stefanidakis"> Michael Stefanidakis</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Nowadays, advances in information and communication technologies offer a range of opportunities for new approaches, methods, and tools in the field of education and training. The use of supercapacitors as energy storage devices in hybrid energy harvesting systems allows the miniaturization of electronic structures for energy storage. This study is concerned with the concept of energy management capacitors – supercapacitors and the new electronic structures for energy storage used for energy harvesting devices. Supercapacitors are low-voltage devices, and electronic overvoltage protection is needed for powering the source. The power management device that uses these proposed new electronic structures for energy storage is better than conventional electronic structures used for this purpose, like rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors, and hybrid systems. A hybrid energy harvesting system with energy storage management is able to simultaneously use several energy sources with recovery from the environment. The power management device uses a summing electronic block to combine the electric power obtained from piezoelectric composite plates and from a photovoltaic conversion system. Also, an overvoltage protection circuit used as a voltage detector and an improved concept of charging supercapacitors is presented. The piezoelectric composite plates are realized only by pressing two printed circuit boards together without damaging or prestressing the piezoceramic elements. The photovoltaic conversion system has the advantage that the modules are covered with glass plates with nanostructured film of ZnO with the role of anti-reflective coating and to improve the overall efficiency of the solar panels. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=supercapacitors" title="supercapacitors">supercapacitors</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=energy%20storage" title=" energy storage"> energy storage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electronic%20overvoltage%20protection" title=" electronic overvoltage protection"> electronic overvoltage protection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=energy%20harvesting" title=" energy harvesting"> energy harvesting</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/173799/hybrid-energy-harvesting-system-with-energy-storage-management" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/173799.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">83</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4252</span> Electronic States at SnO/SnO2 Heterointerfaces</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=A.%20Albar">A. Imaging techniques can help physicians in see different parts of the body, including the bones, muscles, tendons, nerves, and cartilage. During CT scan, a patient must be in the same position from the start to the end of radiation treatment. Patient movements are usually monitored by the technologists through the closed circuit television (CCTV) during scan. If the patient makes a small movement, it is difficult to be noticed by them. In the present work, a simple patient movement monitoring device is fabricated to monitor the patient movement. It uses an electronic sensing device. It continuously monitors the patient’s position while the CT scan is in process. The device has been retrospectively tested on 51 patients whose movement and distance were measured. The results show that 25 patients moved 1 cm to 2.5 cm from their initial position during the CT scan. Hence, the device can potentially be used to control and monitor patient movement during CT scan and Radiography. In addition, an audible alarm situated at the control panel of the control room is provided with this device to alert the technologists. It is an inexpensive, compact device which can be used in any CT scan machine. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=CT%20scan" title="CT scan">CT scan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=radiology" title=" radiology"> radiology</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=X%20Ray" title=" X Ray"> X Ray</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=unwanted%20movement" title=" unwanted movement"> unwanted movement</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/32893/design-and-manufacture-detection-system-for-patients-unwanted-movements-during-radiology-and-ct-scan" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/32893.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">459</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4247</span> Research on Energy-Related Occupant Behavior of Residential Air Conditioning Based on Zigbee Intelligent Electronic Equipment</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dawei%20Xia">Dawei Xia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Benyan%20Jiang"> Benyan Jiang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yong%20Li"> Yong Li</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Split-type air conditioners is widely used for indoor temperature regulation in urban residential buildings in summer in China. In many power generation stations, several operational procedures are implemented to utilize the transfer bus as the main bus and to facilitate the maintenance of circuit breakers and current transformers (in each section) without shutting down the bay(s). Owing to this fact, the complications in operational philosophy have thrown challenges for the bus bar protection implementation. Many bus topologies allow any one of the main buses available in the station to be used as an auxiliary bus. In such a system, pre-defined precautions and procedures are made as guidelines, which are followed before assigning any bus as an auxiliary bus. The procedure involves shifting of links, changing rotary switches, insertion of test block, and so on, thereby causing unreliable operation. This kind of unreliable operation or inadvertent procedural lapse may result in the isolation of the bus bar from the grid due to the unpredictable operation of the bus bar protection relay, which is a commonly occurring phenomenon due to manual mistakes. With the sophisticated configuration and implementation of logic in modern intelligent electronic devices, the operator is free to select the transfer arrangement without sacrificing the protection required by a bus differential system for a reliable operation, and labor-intensive processes are completely eliminated. This paper deals with the procedure to test the security logic for such special scenarios using Megger make SMRT, bus bar protection relay to assure system stability and get rid of all the specific operational precautions/procedure. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bus%20bar%20protection" title="bus bar protection">bus bar protection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=by-pass%20isolator" title=" by-pass isolator"> by-pass isolator</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=blind%20spot" title=" blind spot"> blind spot</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=breaker%20failure" title=" breaker failure"> breaker failure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligent%20electronic%20device" title=" intelligent electronic device"> intelligent electronic device</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=end%20fault" title=" end fault"> end fault</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=bus%20unification" title=" bus unification"> bus unification</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=directional%20principle" title=" directional principle"> directional principle</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=zones%20of%20protection" title=" zones of protection"> zones of protection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=breaker%20re-trip" title=" breaker re-trip"> breaker re-trip</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=under%20voltage%20security" title=" under voltage security"> under voltage security</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=smart%20megger%20relay%20tester" title=" smart megger relay tester"> smart megger relay tester</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/173016/testing-of-complicated-bus-bar-protection-using-smart-testing-methodology" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/173016.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">68</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4245</span> Sportband: An Idea for Workout Monitoring in Amateur and Recreational Sports</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kamila%20Mazur-Oleszczuk">Kamila Mazur-Oleszczuk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rafal%20Banasiuk"> Rafal Banasiuk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dawid%20Krasnowski"> Dawid Krasnowski</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Maciej%20Pek"> Maciej Pek</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Marcin%20Podgorski"> Marcin Podgorski</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Krzysztof%20Rykaczewski"> Krzysztof Rykaczewski</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sabina%20Zoledowska"> Sabina Zoledowska</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dawid%20Nidzworski"> Dawid Nidzworski</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Workout safety is one of the most significant challenges of recreational sports. Loss of water and electrolytes is a consequence of thermoregulatory sweating during exercise. The rate of sweat loss and its chemical composition can fluctuate within and among individuals. That is why we propose our sportband 'Flow' as a device for monitoring these parameters. 'Flow' consists of two parts: an intelligent module and a mobile application. The application allows verifying the training progress and data archiving. The sportband intelligent module includes temperature, heart rate and pulse measurement (non-invasive, continuous methods of workout monitoring). Apart from the standard components, the device will consist of a sweat composition analyzer situated in sportband intelligent module. Sweat is a water solution of numerous compounds such as ions (sodium up to 1609 µg/ml, potassium up to 274 µg/ml), lactic acid (skin pH is between 4.5 - 6) and a small amount of glucose. Awareness of sweat composition allows personalizing electrolyte intake after training. A comprehensive workout monitoring (sweat composition, heart rate, blood oxygen level) will provide improvement in the training routine and time management, which is our goal for the development of the sweat composition analyzer. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=flow" title="flow">flow</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sportband" title=" sportband"> sportband</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sweat" title=" sweat"> sweat</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=workout%20monitoring" title=" workout monitoring"> workout monitoring</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/112409/sportband-an-idea-for-workout-monitoring-in-amateur-and-recreational-sports" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/112409.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">151</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4244</span> Linac Quality Controls Using An Electronic Portal Imaging Device</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Domingo%20Planes%20Meseguer">Domingo Planes Meseguer</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Raffaele%20Danilo%20Esposito"> Raffaele Danilo Esposito</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Maria%20Del%20Pilar%20Dorado%20Rodriguez"> Maria Del Pilar Dorado Rodriguez</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Monthly quality control checks for a Radiation Therapy Linac may be performed is a simple and efficient way once they have been standardized and protocolized. We explain here the HBM standard in detail together with the typical failure modes associated with electrostatic discharges. In addition, a prototype of electrostatic charge generator has been designed, fabricated, and verified to stress electronic devices, which features a compact high voltage source. This prototype is inexpensive and enables one to do a battery of pre-compliance tests aimed at detecting unexpected weaknesses to static discharges at the component level. Some tests with different devices were performed to illustrate the behavior of the proposed generator. A set of discharges was applied according to the HBM standard to commercially available bipolar transistors, complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor transistors and light emitting diodes. It is observed that high current and voltage ratings in electronic devices not necessarily provide a guarantee that the device will withstand high levels of electrostatic discharges. We have also compared the result obtained by performing the sensitivity tests based on HBM with a real discharge generated by a human. For this purpose, the charge accumulated in the person is monitored, and a direct discharge against the devices is generated by touching them. Every test has been performed under controlled relative humidity conditions. It is believed that this paper can be of interest for research teams involved in the development of electronic and optoelectronic devices which need to verify the reliability of their devices in terms of robustness to electrostatic discharges. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=human%20body%20model" title="human body model">human body model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electrostatic%20discharge" title=" electrostatic discharge"> electrostatic discharge</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sensitivity%20tests" title=" sensitivity tests"> sensitivity tests</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=static%20charge%20monitoring" title=" static charge monitoring"> static charge monitoring</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/107659/electronic-device-robustness-against-electrostatic-discharges" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/107659.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">149</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4242</span> A.T.O.M.- Artificial Intelligent Omnipresent Machine</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=R.%20Kanthavel">R. The problem in existing home automation techniques is that it requires the usage of exact command words present in the database to execute the corresponding task. Our proposed work is ATOM a.k.a ‘Artificial intelligence Talking Omnipresent Machine’. Our inspiration came from an unlikely source- the movie ‘Iron Man’ in which a character called J.A.R.V.I.S has omnipresence, and device controlling capability. This device can control household devices in real time and send the live information to the user. This device does not require the user to utter the exact commands specified in the database as it can capture the keywords from the uttered commands, correlates the obtained keywords and perform the specified task. This ability to compare and correlate the keywords gives the user the liberty to give commands which are not necessarily the exact words provided in the database. The proposed work has a higher flexibility (due to its keyword extracting ability from the user input) comparing to the existing work Intelligent Home automation System (IHAS), is more accurate, and is much more affordable as it makes use of WI-FI module and raspberry pi 2 instead of ZigBee and a computer respectively. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=home%20automation" title="home automation">home automation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=speech%20recognition" title=" speech recognition"> speech recognition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=voice%20control" title=" voice control"> voice control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=personal%20assistant" title=" personal assistant"> personal assistant</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=artificial%20intelligence" title=" artificial intelligence"> artificial intelligence</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43257/atom-artificial-intelligent-omnipresent-machine" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43257.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">336</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4241</span> Memristor-A Promising Candidate for Neural Circuits in Neuromorphic Computing Systems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Juhi%20Faridi">Juhi Faridi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mohd.%20Ajmal%20Kafeel"> Mohd. Neural networks, having the computational power and learning ability similar to the brain is one of the key AI technologies. Neuromorphic computing system (NCS) consists of the synaptic device, neuronal circuit, and neuromorphic architecture. Memristor are a promising candidate for neuromorphic computing systems, but when it comes to neuromorphic computing, the conductance behavior of the synaptic memristor or neuronal memristor needs to be studied thoroughly in order to fathom the neuroscience or computer science. Furthermore, there is a need of more simulation work for utilizing the existing device properties and providing guidance to the development of future devices for different performance requirements. Hence, development of NCS needs more simulation work to make use of existing device properties. This work aims to provide an insight to build neuronal circuits using memristors to achieve a Memristor based NCS. Here we throw a light on the research conducted in the field of memristors for building analog and digital circuits in order to motivate the research in the field of NCS by building memristor based neural circuits for advanced AI applications. This literature is a step in the direction where we describe the various Key findings about memristors and its analog and digital circuits implemented over the years which can be further utilized in implementing the neuronal circuits in the NCS. This work aims to help the electronic circuit designers to understand how the research progressed in memristors and how these findings can be used in implementing the neuronal circuits meant for the recent progress in the NCS. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=analog%20circuits" title="analog circuits">analog circuits</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=digital%20circuits" title=" digital circuits"> digital circuits</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=memristors" title=" memristors"> memristors</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=neuromorphic%20computing%20systems" title=" neuromorphic computing systems"> neuromorphic computing systems</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/100057/memristor-a-promising-candidate-for-neural-circuits-in-neuromorphic-computing-systems" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/100057.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">174</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4240</span> Electronic Nose for Monitoring Fungal Deterioration of Stored Rapeseed</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Robert%20Rusinek">Robert Rusinek</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Marek%20Gancarz"> Marek Gancarz</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jolanta%20Wawrzyniak"> Jolanta Wawrzyniak</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Marzena%20Gawrysiak-Witulska"> Marzena Gawrysiak-Witulska</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dariusz%20Wi%C4%85cek"> Dariusz Wiącek</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Agnieszka%20Nawrocka"> Agnieszka Nawrocka</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Investigations were performed to examine the possibility of using an electronic nose to monitor the development of fungal microflora during the first eighteen days of rapeseed storage. The Cyranose 320 device with polymer-composite sensors was used. Each sample of infected material was divided into three parts, and the degree of spoilage was measured in three ways: analysis of colony forming units (CFU), determination of ergosterol content (ERG), and measurement with the eNose. Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed on the generated patterns of signals, and six groups of different spoilage levels were isolated. The electronic nose with polymer-composite sensors under laboratory conditions distinguished between species of spoiled and unspoiled seeds with 100% accuracy. Despite some minor differences in the CFU and ergosterol content, the electronic nose provided responses correctly corresponding to the level of spoilage with 85% accuracy. Therefore, the main conclusion from the study is that the electronic nose is a promising tool for quick and non-destructive detection of the level of oil seed spoilage. Waste from the electronic industry is increasing exponentially day by day. From the last 20 years, we are continuously generating huge quantities of e-waste such as obsolete computers and other discarded electronic components, mainly due to evolution of newer technologies as a result of constant efforts in research and development in this sector. Polymers, one of the major constituents in almost every electronic waste, such as computers, printers, electronic equipment, entertainment devices, mobile phones, television sets etc., are if properly recycled can create a new business opportunity. The database would store information of all community engagement projects related to the university. The wealth of knowledge obtained from the various disciplines would be used to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration within the university, as well as facilitating community university partnership opportunities. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore electronic data collection through the development of a database. Two types of electronic data collection platforms were used, namely online questionnaire and email. The semi structured questionnaire was used to collect data related to community engagement projects from different faculties and departments at the university. There are many benefits for using an electronic data collection platform, such as reduction of costs and time, ease in reaching large numbers of potential respondents, and the possibility of providing anonymity to participants. Despite all the advantages of using the electronic platform, there were as many challenges, as depicted in our findings. The findings suggest that certain barriers existed by using an electronic platform for data collection, even though it was in an academic environment, where knowledge and resources were in abundance. One of the challenges experienced in this process was the lack of dissemination of information via email to staff within faculties. The actual online software used for the questionnaire had its own limitations, such as only being able to access the questionnaire from the same electronic device. In a few cases, academics only completed the questionnaire after a telephonic prompt or face to face meeting about "Is higher education in South Africa ready to embrace electronic platform in data collection?" <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=community%20engagement" title="community engagement">community engagement</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=database" title=" database"> database</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=data%20collection" title=" data collection"> data collection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electronic%20platform" title=" electronic platform"> electronic platform</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electronic%20tools" title=" electronic tools"> electronic tools</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=knowledge%20sharing" title=" knowledge sharing"> knowledge sharing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=university" title=" university"> university</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/37745/utilising-an-online-data-collection-platform-for-the-development-of-a-community-engagement-database-a-case-study-on-building-inter-institutional-partnerships-at-uwc" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/37745.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">264</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4237</span> Intelligent Indoor Localization Using WLAN Fingerprinting</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gideon%20C.%20Joseph">Gideon C. Joseph</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The ability to localize mobile devices is quite important, as some applications may require location information of these devices to operate or deliver better services to the users. Although there are several ways of acquiring location data of mobile devices, the WLAN fingerprinting approach has been considered in this work. This approach uses the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) measurement as a function of the position of the mobile device. RSSI is a quantitative technique of describing the radio frequency power carried by a signal. RSSI may be used to determine RF link quality and is very useful in dense traffic scenarios where interference is of major concern, for example, indoor environments. This research aims to design a system that can predict the location of a mobile device, when supplied with the mobile’s RSSIs. The developed system takes as input the RSSIs relating to the mobile device, and outputs parameters that describe the location of the device such as the longitude, latitude, floor, and building. The relationship between the Received Signal Strengths (RSSs) of mobile devices and their corresponding locations is meant to be modelled; hence, subsequent locations of mobile devices can be predicted using the developed model. It is obvious that describing mathematical relationships between the RSSIs measurements and localization parameters is one option to modelling the problem, but the complexity of such an approach is a serious turn-off. In contrast, we propose an intelligent system that can learn the mapping of such RSSIs measurements to the localization parameters to be predicted. The system is capable of upgrading its performance as more experiential knowledge is acquired. The most appealing consideration to using such a system for this task is that complicated mathematical analysis and theoretical frameworks are excluded or not needed; the intelligent system on its own learns the underlying relationship in the supplied data (RSSI levels) that corresponds to the localization parameters. These localization parameters to be predicted are of two different tasks: Longitude and latitude of mobile devices are real values (regression problem), while the floor and building of the mobile devices are of integer values or categorical (classification problem). This research work presents artificial neural network based intelligent systems to model the relationship between the RSSIs predictors and the mobile device localization parameters. The designed systems were trained and validated on the collected WLAN fingerprint database. The trained networks were then tested with another supplied database to obtain the performance of trained systems on achieved Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and error rates for the regression and classification tasks involved therein. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=indoor%20localization" title="indoor localization">indoor localization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=WLAN%20fingerprinting" title=" WLAN fingerprinting"> WLAN fingerprinting</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=neural%20networks" title=" neural networks"> neural networks</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=classification" title=" classification"> classification</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=regression" title=" regression"> regression</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/29586/intelligent-indoor-localization-using-wlan-fingerprinting" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/29586.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">347</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4236</span> Highly-Efficient Photoreaction Using Microfluidic Device</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shigenori%20Togashi">Shigenori Togashi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yukako%20Asano"> Yukako Asano</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> We developed an effective microfluidic device for photoreactions with low reflectance and good heat conductance.
