severe damage of the turbine rotor is its distortion. The rotor straightening process must lead, at the first stage, to removal of the stresses from the material by annealing and next, to straightening of the plastic distortion without leaving any stress by hot spotting. The straightening method does not produce stress accumulations and the heating technique, developed specifically for solid forged rotors and disks, enables to avoid local overheating and structural changes in the material. This process also does not leave stresses in the shaft material. An experimental study of hot spotting is carried out on a large turbine rotor and some of the most important effective parameters that must be considered on annealing and hot spotting processes are investigated in this paper. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Annealing" title="Annealing">Annealing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Hot%20Spotting" title=" Hot Spotting"> Hot Spotting</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Effective%20Parameter" title=" Effective Parameter"> Effective Parameter</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Rotor" title=" Rotor"> Rotor</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/investigation-of-effective-parameters-on-annealing-and-hot-spotting-processes-for-straightening-of-bent-turbine-rotors" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/4021.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1973</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">102</span> Development Trend in Investigation of Residual Stresses in WC-Co Coating by HVOF Thermal Spraying</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=M.Jalali%20Azizpour">M.Jalali Azizpour</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=S.Norouzi"> S.Norouzi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q="> </a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=H.Mohammadi%20Majd"> H.Mohammadi Majd</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=D.Sajedipour"> D.Sajedipour </a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=R.Mohammadi%20Sadr">R.Mohammadi Sadr</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=M.Derakhshan%20Mehr">M.Derakhshan Mehr</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=S.A%20Shoabi"> S.A Shoabi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=R.Mohammadi"> R.Mohammadi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, the techniques for estimating the residual stress in high velocity oxy fuel thermal spray coatings have been discussed and compared. An ideal steering system with fixed properties and moving on an ideal road is used as the reference model, and the active steering assistance system is forced to attain the same behavior as the reference model. The proposed system can treat the nonlinear relationships between the side slip angles and lateral forces on tire, and the uncertainties on friction of the road surface, whose compensation are very important under critical situations. Simulation results show improvements on yaw rate and side slip. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Variable%20Structure" title="Variable Structure">Variable Structure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Adaptive%20Control" title=" Adaptive Control"> Adaptive Control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Model%0Areference" title=" Model reference"> Model reference</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Active%20steering%20assistance." title=" Active steering assistance."> Active steering assistance.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/variable-structure-model-reference-adaptive-control-for-vehicle-steering-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9334.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1493</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">100</span> The Photo-Absorption and Surface Feature of Nano-Structured TIO2 Coatings</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Maryamossadat%20Bozorgtabar">Maryamossadat Bozorgtabar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammadreza%20Rahimipour"> Mohammadreza Rahimipour</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mehdi%20Salehi"> Mehdi Salehi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammadreza%20Jafarpour"> Mohammadreza Jafarpour</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Titanium dioxide coatings were deposited by utilizing atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) system. The agglomerated nanopowder and different spraying parameters were used to determine their influences on the microstructure surface feature and photoabsorption of the coatings. The microstructure of as-sprayed TiO2 coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Surface characteristics were investigated by Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR). The photo absorption was determined by UV-VIS spectrophotometer. During this study, about 30 designs for different frames were modeled and made using specialized software like ANSYS and Sap and their behavior were examined under variable impacts. Then suitable strategies were offered for frames in terms of concrete mixing in order to optimize frame modeling. To reduce the weight of the frames, we had to use fine-grained stones. Because mobility of MSS implies that energy saving becomes an issue so that lifetime of MSS can be extended before re-charging. Also, the mechanism in efficiently managing the limited energy is becoming very significant since a MSS is generally energized by battery. For these, sleep mode operation is recently specified in the MAC (Medium Access Control) protocol. In order to reduce the energy consumption, we focus on the sleep-mode and wake-mode of the MAC layer, which are included in the IEEE 802.16 standards [1- 2]. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=IEEE%20802.16e" title="IEEE 802.16e">IEEE 802.16e</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Sleep-mode" title=" Sleep-mode"> Sleep-mode</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Wake-mode" title=" Wake-mode"> Wake-mode</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Downlink" title=" Downlink"> Downlink</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mobile%20Subscriber%20Station." title="Mobile Subscriber Station.">Mobile Subscriber Station.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/the-effect-of-tmax-in-energy-consumption-in-0ieee-80216e-with-traffic-load" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6581.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1481</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">87</span> An Innovative Fuzzy Decision Making Based Genetic Algorithm</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=M.%20A.%20Sharbafi">M. Meanwhile AODV (Ad Hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector) creates single-path route between a pair of source and destination nodes. Some researches has done so far to make multipath node-disjoint routing based on AODV protocol. But however their overhead and end-to-end delay are relatively high, while the detail of their code is not available too. This paper proposes a new approach of multipath node-disjoint routing based on AODV protocol. Then the algorithm of analytical model is presented. The extensive results of this algorithm will be presented in the next paper. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=AODV%3B%20MANET%3B%20Multipath%20Routing%3B%20Node-disjoint%3Btransmission%20delay." title="AODV; MANET; Multipath Routing; Node-disjoint;transmission delay.">AODV; MANET; Multipath Routing; Node-disjoint;transmission delay.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/new-multipath-node-disjoint-routing-based-on-aodv-protocol" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13243.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">3074</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">75</span> Babbitt Casting and Babbitt Spraying Processes Case Study</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=M.%20Jalali%20Azizpour">M. These bearings have an important role in reducing the shut down times in the pumps, compressors and turbines. The most conventional method in babbitting is casting as a melting method. The comparison between thermal spray and casting methods in babbitting shows that the thermal spraying babbitt layer has better performance and tribological behavior. The metallurgical and tribological analysis such as SEM, EDS and wet chemical analysis has been made in the Babbitt alloys and worn surfaces. Two type of babbitt materials: tinbase and lead-base babbitt was used. The benefits of thermally sprayed babbitt layers are completely clear especially in large bearings.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Thermal%20spray" title="Thermal spray">Thermal spray</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Babbitting" title=" Babbitting"> Babbitting</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Bonding" title=" Bonding"> Bonding</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Bearing" title=" Bearing"> Bearing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=BFP" title=" BFP"> BFP</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=CWP" title=" CWP"> CWP</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/babbitt-casting-and-babbitt-spraying-processes-case-study" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/12280.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">4654</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">74</span> A Hybrid Approach Using Particle Swarm Optimization and Simulated Annealing for N-queen Problem</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Vahid%20Mohammadi%20Saffarzadeh">Vahid Mohammadi Saffarzadeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Pourya%20Jafarzadeh"> Pourya Jafarzadeh</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Masoud%20Mazloom"> Masoud Mazloom</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>This paper presents a hybrid approach for solving nqueen problem by combination of PSO and SA. PSO is a population based heuristic method that sometimes traps in local maximum. To solve this problem we can use SA. Although SA suffer from many iterations and long time convergence for solving some problems, By good adjusting initial parameters such as temperature and the length of temperature stages SA guarantees convergence. In this article we use discrete PSO (due to nature of n-queen problem) to achieve a good local maximum. Then we use SA to escape from local maximum. The experimental results show that our hybrid method in comparison of SA method converges to result faster, especially for high dimensions n-queen problems.</p> <p
