In 2000, the Company created the RealNetworks Foundation which makes about $1.25 million in charitable grants per year. The Foundation matches the personal contributions of employees at a rate of $1 for every $1 an employee donates to an eligible, 501c3 nonprofit (up to $15,000 per year)!聽The Foundation also matches the volunteer time that employees of RealNetworks contribute to U.S. nonprofits with a grant of $25 per hour (up to 100 hours per employee, per year).</p> <p>Past RealNetworks Foundation <a href="https://realnetworks.com/realnetworks-foundation/grant-recipients#2020">grants</a>, have included community-based organizations in a wide variety of sectors. These grants prioritized direct, human services (housing, health, and hunger-relief) as well as employment and training programs that help individuals and families become self-sufficient. The Foundation also prioritized STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs and those that serve to diversify the tech sector by helping historically underrepresented people qualify for tech jobs, including programs that are geared toward helping women and girls, people from underrepresented ethnic communities, low-income people and those who will be the first in their family to attend college pursue degrees and training in tech fields such as computer science and software engineering.</p> <p>Thanks to the support of RealNetworks, the Real Progress Foundation will make grants to charitable organizations and match employee financial contributions and volunteer time.
