and you shall bring<MH935> in<MH935> the lampstand<MH4501> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>mount<MH5927> its lamps<MH5216>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>You shall also set<MH5414> the gold<MH2091> altar<MH4196> of incense<MH7004> in front<MH6440> of the ark<MH727> of the testimony<MH5715>, and set<MH7760> up<MH7760> the curtain<MH4539> for the doorway<MH6607> to the tabernacle<MH4908>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>And you shall set<MH5414> the altar<MH4196> of burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> in front<MH6440> of the doorway<MH6607> of the tabernacle<MH4908> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>Then you shall set<MH5414> the basin<MH3595> between<MH996> the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> and the altar<MH4196>, and put<MH5414> water<MH4325> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>in it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>You shall also set<MH7760> up<MH7760> the courtyard<MH2691a> all<MH5439> around<MH5439> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>hang<MH5414> up<MH5414> the curtain<MH4539> for the gate<MH8179> of the courtyard<MH2691a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Then you shall take<MH3947> the anointing<MH4888b> oil<MH8081> and anoint<MH4886> the tabernacle<MH4908> and everything<MH3605> that is in it, and consecrate<MH6942> it and all<MH3605> its <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>furnishings<MH3627>; and it shall be holy<MH6944>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>You shall also anoint<MH4886> the altar<MH4196> of burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> and all<MH3605> its utensils<MH3627>, and consecrate<MH6942> the altar<MH4196>, and the altar<MH4196> shall be most<MH6944> holy<MH6944>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And you shall anoint<MH4886> the basin<MH3595> and its stand<MH3653b>, and consecrate<MH6942> it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Then you shall bring<MH7126> Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> to the doorway<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> and wash<MH7364> them with water<MH4325>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>And you shall put<MH3847> the holy<MH6944> garments<MH899b> on<MH3847> Aaron<MH175> and anoint<MH4886> him and consecrate<MH6942> him, so that he may serve<MH3547> as<MH3547> a<MH3547> priest<MH3547> to Me. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>You shall also bring<MH7126> his sons<MH1121> and put<MH3847> tunics<MH3801> on<MH3847> them; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>and you shall anoint<MH4886> them just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> you have anointed<MH4886> their father<MH1>, so that they may serve<MH3547> as<MH3547> priests<MH3547> to Me; and their anointing<MH4888b> will <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>qualify<MH1961> them for a permanent<MH5769> priesthood<MH3550> throughout their generations<MH1755>.” <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>So Moses<MH4872> did<MH6213a> <i>these things;</i> according to all<MH3605> that the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> him, so<MH3651> he did<MH6213a>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Now in the first<MH7223> month<MH2320> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>of the second<MH8145> year<MH8141>, on the first<MH259> <i>day</i> of the month<MH2320>, the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>tabernacle<MH4908> was erected<MH6965>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>Moses<MH4872> erected<MH6965> the tabernacle<MH4908> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>laid<MH5414> its bases<MH134>, and set<MH7760> up<MH7760> its boards<MH7175b>, and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>inserted<MH5414> its bars<MH1280>, and erected<MH6965> its pillars<MH5982>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And he spread<MH6566> the tent<MH168> over<MH5921> the tabernacle<MH4908> and put<MH7760> the covering<MH4372> of the tent<MH168> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>on top<MH4605> of it, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Then he took<MH3947> the testimony<MH5715> and put<MH5414> <i>it</i> into the ark<MH727>, and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>attached<MH7760> the poles<MH905> to the ark<MH727>, and put<MH5414> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>atoning<MH3727> cover<MH3727> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>on top<MH4605> of the ark<MH727>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>He then brought<MH935> the ark<MH727> into the tabernacle<MH4908>, and set<MH7760> up<MH7760> a veil<MH6532> for the covering<MH4539>, and screened<MH5526a> off<MH5526a> the ark<MH727> of the testimony<MH5715>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>He also put<MH5414> the table<MH7979> in the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> on the north<MH6828> side<MH3409> of the tabernacle<MH4908>, outside<MH4480, 2351> the veil<MH6532>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>And he set<MH6186a> the arrangement<MH6187> of bread<MH3899> in<MH6186a> order<MH6186a> on it before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>Then he placed<MH7760> the lampstand<MH4501> in the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>, opposite<MH5227> the table<MH7979>, on the south<MH5045> side<MH3409> of the tabernacle<MH4908>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>And he lighted<MH5927> the lamps<MH5216> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>Then he placed<MH7760> the gold<MH2091> altar<MH4196> in the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> in front<MH6440> of the veil<MH6532>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>and he burned<MH6999> fragrant<MH5561> incense<MH7004> on it, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>Then he set<MH7760> up<MH7760> the curtain<MH4539> for the doorway<MH6607> of the tabernacle<MH4908>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>And he set<MH7760> the altar<MH4196> of burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> <i>in front of</i> the doorway<MH6607> of the tabernacle<MH4908> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>, and offered<MH5927> on it the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> and the meal<MH4503> offering<MH4503>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>He placed<MH7760> the basin<MH3595> between<MH996> the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150> and the altar<MH4196>, and put<MH5414> water<MH4325> in it for washing<MH7364>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>From it Moses<MH4872> and Aaron<MH175> and his sons<MH1121> washed<MH7364> their hands<MH3027> and their feet<MH7272>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>When they entered<MH935> the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>, and when they approached<MH7126> the altar<MH4196>, they washed<MH7364>, just<MH3512c> as<MH3512c> the LORD<MH3068> had commanded<MH6680> Moses<MH4872>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/exodus/40-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>And he erected<MH6965> the courtyard<MH2691a> all<MH5439> around<MH5439> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>tabernacle<MH4908> and the altar<MH4196>, and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>hung<MH5414> up<MH5414> the curtain<MH4539> for the gate<MH8179> of the courtyard<MH2691a>.
