Get more information on <a href="http://www.ukp.tu-darmstadt.de/uby/">the UBY website</a>.</p> <h2 id="uby-offers-interoperability-across-resources">UBY Offers Interoperability Across Resources</h2> <p>UBY contains <em>interoperable lexicons</em>: the lexical resources contained in UBY have been made interoperable by converting them into lexicons according to a standard-compliant format based on the ISO standard <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lexical_Markup_Framework">Lexical Markup Framework</a> (LMF), called <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UBY-LMF">UBY-LMF</a>. It must be pointed out that while the component’s source code itself is licensed under the ASL or GPL, individual components might make use of third-party libraries or products that are not licensed under the ASL or GPL, such as LGPL libraries or libraries which are free for research but may not be used in commercial scenarios.
